Dec 12, 2010So, I'm pretty sure this is impossible, but is there any way to "re-skin" the box that pops up asking you if flash should be allowed access to your mic and webcam? I'd really love to make that box fit with the rest of the design of whatever I'm building.
Also, if I have several swfs that use the mic/webcam inside one larger shell swf, will the dialog box appear once for each of the sub-swfs, or just once for the large one, and those settings will be applied to all the sub-swfs?

Black Fri -- Best Phone For Flash 10.1 'touch'?
Nov 26, 2009I've really been 'chomping-on-the-bit' to try some of the touch programming features of the next release of flash, but I haven't got a phone for it yet. Flash 10.1 doesn't come out for a little bit so I've been putting off doing any research on it. But I glanced through the fliers tonight and I'm seeing some REALLY good deals. So the big question is, which phone would be the best for a touch screen programmer. I'm not looking to dazzle my friends, but I am looking to have a piece of equipment that will suite my needs as a developer. I understand that the iPhone doesn't use Flash, so that one is definitely off of the list.

For example I have a DropDown Component and I change its skin (all the states) and put in a dark skin (I dragged the component on the stage and edited it). The text on the component, however is black and cannot be read. How could I change the component's text to white.

Aug 11, 2009I am trying to make a flash movie in flash cs4. All goes well but whenever I return to the scene and then double click on a movie clip or double click on a movie clip in the library I can get to the desired clip but the workspace all turns black and I cannot see the edge of my document /artboard.Sorry if this a silly overlook on my part but I'm stuck and cannot get the proper view back.

To my disappointment there is a noticeable black flash between the different pages which makes the project basically useless. What is causing the black frame and is there a way to fix it? Apr 28, 2010I have a product by IMTOO.com that converts AVI files to SWF files. I used it, and I also specified that I wanted the final file to be small. The final file plays OK in flashplayer 10, but the control bar is all black. You don't see any controls on it such as 'play', 'pause' and 'maximize'.Now there is a menu you can get by right-clicking on the movie. That gives you 'play' and 'pause', but not maximize.My question is, why is this happening. Why can't I see controls on the control bar, and why can't I maximize at all, even with the right-click menu?

Flash Projector Fullscreen FLV Always Has Black Background
Feb 6, 2012I'm creating a fullscreen projector that has an FLV file on the stage. I successfully got the FLV to appear non full screen by using the answers for the following question:
Non-fullscreen FLVPlayback
However, the background still goes black just before the FLV comes to the stage.
It runs fine when the projector is not set to fullscreen - background is there along with my close button.

Aug 12, 2011I am working with classic asp and flash. Actually I don't have to develop the flash applications and I only have to make the asp parts. Now I have some problems with flash file.When we put the flash in asp we set the path of plugins : pluginspage="http:[url]......when we upgrade latest version of flash player (10.3.183.5), it works for the most of the flash file in my application but there is one specific flash that doesn't work.It only shows the blank black screen.

Feb 2, 2011Let's say you have a large number (N) of spark buttons in your app. Let's also say that your buttons all have very similar skins (size, various effects, etc) - the only difference being the specific png that they use as their BitmapImage. Do you end up with N skin files, all differing by 1 line? Or is there a smarter way to do this while not adding a lot of code when you create the buttons in MXML (in fact, ideally, none).

Aug 26, 2011I am trying to programmatically skin a PopUpButton control in Flex Builder, but having no luck. As far as I know this requires writing a custom skin class or creating a modified version the control class itself (since the control is MX and not Spark). Again, just to clarify, I want to programmatically modify the appearance not simply set styling properties or display an image. I've been able to do this programmatically with other MX controls (e.g. tabs in a tab navigator), but not with the PopUpButton.I think part of the problem may be that the control is actually composed of two separate buttons, so you cannot draw just one rectangular area over the whole control.

Jun 7, 2011I am currently having a problem when launching the trial version of flash cs5.5 . The screen that says the timeleft at my trial comes up but the flash cs5.5 screen stays black and is "not responding". About two weeks ago, it worked, so i don't know what is happening. All my other programs work. I tried to reinstall it, to delete the left flash cs5.5 program files after the uninstall and many other things, but it dosen't work.Here is a screen capture of the flash cs5.5 blackscreen. notice that in the frame of the window it tells" not responding".

May 20, 2011I have a MovieClip - for example a character's face. It has a black border and a brown fill (skin). I need to change the skin's color. I see 2 ways to go at it: Use ColorTransform. But I need to have the skin in a separate MovieClip, so that I can change the skin's color alone, not the borders. It's kind of complicated. If i have some other elements, like semi transpatent shadows (they will stay brown). Use something else (maybe ColorMatrixFilter)?

I tried to look up aspect ratio calculators online but they all seem to ask for what aspect ratio I need, etc. I don't know what I need exactly, I just want to enter a width and get the height that will prevent those black bars. Flex :: Skinning - HSlider - Set Different Skins For Different Thumbs?
Jul 1, 2009I am going to use a HSlider to set a range of values. I would like the left thumb to look like ( and the right thumb to lok like ) so they appear to encompass the range like (range) instead of |range|. I only know how to set the skin for SliderThumb which will set the skin for both. Does anyone know of a way to set a different skin for each thumb?
