First of all please download the file that I have atached, which is a screen shot of user control page for image scroller. There is an user control page for image scroller. You can see many options there. In user control, scroller is specified as marquee scroller. There is an option, Speed of scroller, which denotes how quickly the image should scroll. The unit of this field is seconds. Because we are giving seconds in that field. A single image should move out of the stage with in the specified seconds in "speed of scroller" field.

Jan 27, 2011I'm having a little trouble with my publish settings setup.Let's say that I have a file called MyFirstAnim.fla under the folder AnimSource.Then, I set the swf publish path to ../AnimFinal/MyFirstAnim.swf, and everything is great.Now, I need another file almost identical the first one, so I copy MyFirstAnim.fla and rename it to MySecondAnim.fla.hen I publish the file my MyFirstAnim.swf (under the folder AnimFinal) got overridden.So, I removed the swf part of the publish setting, leaving just the relative path (../AnimFinal/).
Am I smart or not?

flashv1 and flashv2 are the instance names of two dynamic text fields on the stage. For some reason, and I have been messing around with this all afternoon, I just cant get the flashVars to be retrieved by my code and be passed on to the text fields.

Jul 28, 2011I have a 3d wall and I'm passing images and linking through xml. Now I have added the description, but it just displays in the middle. I don't know how to align it. On mouse over, the description of that photo should display there itself, but it is not displaying in the middle (for all the photos). Instead of displaying on the each photos when the mouseover, it displays in one place.

Apr 18, 2011I am having a problem with Flash.I get the message Movie not loaded if I right clich where the video should be.I may have set the hardware acceleration on/off by mistake, but I cannot get the Settings manager to open to check it.I am running Feroda rc14.If I go to http:[url].... and right click in to white area at the top, I get the message 'Movie not loaded' and the flash version - 10.2.159.1. This is where I should be able to open the settings window.Where does Flash store that info on my PC? How can I check it/change it without Settings manager?

Jul 11, 2011What i need to do, is to be able to scale and distort and image's shape in the swf file.
So built-in to the SWF file would be a photo of whatever, and i want the user to be able to grab the corners of the image and change it's dimensions. I want it to work the same way that the 'Distort' function works in Photoshop.
For those of you who don't know, i'll try to explaim it briefly. So your photo has 4 sides and 4 corners, you grab a corner and drag it, it keeps a straight line between the sides, but all it does and change the perspective pretty much, as though you were looking at it from a different angle.
Just like that, so it's still a 4 sided shape but you move the corners... and it changes the shape of the image... is this possible to do? So i don't want to do this inside of Flash but in the SWF output, so anyone who goes to the site can do it.

Nov 6, 2007I've found this xml driven banner rotator here on Kirupa from Mr. Daytripper.It's great (with preloader, xml controlled transitions, speed, urls) but I need to be able to add additional control with a 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 buttons that would jump to image 1, 2, 3 or 4 and maybe pause/play.I've added the buttons but don't have any idea how to control the arrays/variables.
I'm attempting to make it like a standard banner rotator like you might see on the homepage of Target.com, Bestbuy.com, but honestly the code is a beyond me.

Dec 6, 2011This is a really easy one that I thought would be easily found on google but I can't think of the terminology. I'm using CS4 and AS3 with a few multi-line dynamic text boxes beneath one another. When I populate the top text box I would like it to automatically push down the other text boxes beneath it when the content flows on to extra lines.
At the moment it only wraps to the gap that is between each text box but then stops when reaching the text box beneath. Is there a property to allow for this (I've worked in Silverlight and there was on controls there) that I can just set or will I have to manually implement this and call functionality to re-set all the controls y properties each time I change the text in the text box?

May 27, 2003i've created a vector-based map of Spain, and i'd like to be able to zoom into certain areas of it.the map is positioned behind a mask, so only a certain portion of it is visible.
i've also created nine buttons, each of which should reposition and scale the map according to a set of predetermined target parameters (manipuilating the _x, _y, _xscale, _yscale properties). i can get the map to pan to its new location so long as i don't zoom in (scale) as well. whenever i have to pan AND scale, the x,y coordinates end up grossly off-mark. do i need to first scale and then pan? or vice versa? anyone know of any tutorials on this topic?

I would like to slowly zoom in on an image, giving the illusion of movement or animation. An example of what I'm trying to do is on this site's main slide show.
