ActionScript 2.0 :: Adding Annother Field To The View Cart?

Im using Adobe flash cs3 action scrpit 2.0 i think : You can see o working model of what I have to work with here http:[url]....If you ad somthing to cart and then click view cart youll see the fields it provides Item name, subtotal, qty, and total of item.Im trying to add annother field there called "size".Its all in action script as far as i can tell the action scripts that i think need to be modified are Cart.as

I'm trying to recreate a UI for an application that my company makes in order to create an in-depth training companion to the application. One of the features is a weird tree view that works quite different from any tree view component I've ever seen, so I decided to create my own version of it as the Flash AS2 Tree Component doesn't have the functionality, and I haven't found any Tree Component for sale or download that works like that either. At first glance it seems like a standard Tree, except that it behaves differently if you click on the icon for each node than if you click on the label.
Some labels are links, some nodes can have 2 different labels, each with their own link, and most nodes have a second label underneath the label next to the icon (these don't have events assigned to them; they're just a quick way to view information). So anyway, I set up an XML file with all the information that I need (the easy part), but populating the whole thing, making sure each subnode can properly exist within each parentnode while allowing me to open and close them has been a real challenge.
Basically, I decided to use a whole bunch of loops to go through the nodes in the XML, but my lack of experience in using them is kicking my rear end. Basically, I need some code that can evaluate all the nodes in the XML and sort them within the proper hierarchies and then create all the clips in the stage to add the mouse events for opening, closing, and handling the links (which do not direct to the same event as when the icon next to that link is clicked).
I facing a problem with htmlText field. When I insert image along with text, text continues to wrap at the right side of the image, and not under the image. It might create some visual problem Here is my code:

Right now, all I am getting is the actual values entered in the text fields and selected in the combo boxes. How can I get the sum of this values to show on my "calcAns_text.text"?
Given the following example SWF: Sample Notice how with the words "enthusiast" at the end of the first line and "write" at the end of the second line, that they start to type out on the first line but after a few letters they are bumped.
I understand this is the correct behavior, but is there a way for "enthusiast" to begin being typed on the second line, and "write" on the third line instead of being bumped during the typing?
Currently I am thinking of doing a search ahead mechanism, so it finds the next word in whole, then makes that the active word to print, temporarily print it, see if it increases the numlines, and if it does insert a line break and continue writing. But it seems fiddly.

I have a dynamic text field which is loading images from an external html. This text is named scrollPaneImage and is a child of a movieClip called scrollPaneContent. I then load scrollPaneContent into a scroll pane named scrollPane
When the user interacts with my swf different images are loaded into scrollPaneImage. Since some of the images take a few seconds to load, I'd like there to be a progress loader displayed in the scrollpane.
I have tried adding the progress event listner to the dynamic text, the movie clip and the scrollpane and cannot get it to respond or track the loading.

I should add that this text fields starts out on stage as a dynamic text field. In the code above I am changing its type to input, so that might affect things. I am trying to set up the field so that when a user clicks in the text field, a cursor movie clip appears, and the text that was in the field is erased, and that when they leave the text field and click elsewhere, the text is accepted, the textfield converts back to a dynamic field, essentially "locking" the entered text into the field.
I'm about to have to write a web page/app that will serve the agenda for circa 100 people on a page. One line per person, one column per day with 3 clickable zones in each cell. In HTML, the page is way complex for the browser to load quick and there is no possibility to click on a border between 2 cells to for example split an event that spreads among several cells. So I search an not too overkilling technology to render this kind of view. I begun with a PHP generated HTML page but the number of elements in the page make the mouse move jerky.
Moving to JAVA would give me better performances regarding the reuse of the generator of the view but it will still be an HTML page. So, here is my question: do you think that going forward with JAVA and its graphical capability is the simple solution or is Flash a better option for this part of a Web App? I'm afraid of the code I'll have to write in JAVA to handle the GUI presentation as well as the events generated by the 1000's cells plus borders of the page. In Flash, the graphical part seems simpler even if the actions handling is still huge.
I'm currently using RobotLegs with the Presentation Model pattern to develop a Flex 4 project. I understand that all business logic related to a View resides in the Presentation Model associated with that view, however, I am confused when it comes to View specific logic.For example, I have an indicator that needs to be positioned relatively to list items depending on which list item is selected. Is it acceptable in the Presentation pattern to put the logic that will position the indicator in the View and simply have that logic run in reaction to a selectedIndex property changing in the presentation model?The reason I am considering this is that since the Presentation Model does not have a reference to the view it is difficult to come up with an ideal solution for manipulating view components.
I am wondering how to make a 360º view bubble, like they use for Google Street View, but have no idea how to go at accomplishing this task... i have the string of photos that i attached in photoshop(so that if you connected the left to the right it would be a full 360º view).
I am using Flash CS4 AS3.. When I open my browser "Internet Explorer 7" it opens normal. But When I open a link using the following Flash code it opens half in length and half in width. I need to click on "Maximise" button to view in full. How to solve the problem? It is our Intranet link.
I have one .mxml file (the Application) with a ViewStack (with 4 views) and a ControlBard, obviously I can change the views with it, but what I want to do is: in view #1 I have an image which I want to convert to a "hyperlink", so when I click it I go to View #2, is this doable? Also I would like to pass somehow some data (like a String) to that View #2 (lets say the it's a user avatar I click so I want to go to the second view which will show me his profile, that's why I need his name/id).
My problem is that when I try to pass an object from the navigator.pushView(view, dataobject), I can't figure out how to access the dataobject from actionscript. I can access {dataobject.property} from MXML easily, but I want to set a variable in the new view to the passed dataobjects property.
in flash, I encounted a source file that is cropped and I cannot move it, is there some sort of cropped view in flash I dont know about? I cannot find anyinformation about it, it has rulers displayed as far as I remember.
Basically you cannot move in the file to edit anything viewpoint wise, everything outside of the movie area is invisible and not there? As if cropped.
I built my dynamic gallery using AS 2.0 and XML, now, what I want to do is add a shopping cart of sorts. All I really want to do, is have the person on the other end be able to click an image and then be able to select a size or sizes and quantity, at the end it shows them their selections (text not images) and then they hit send and it sends me an email. That's it....

i have a text field called Moneytxt and i want it so when u click on a box it somtimes adds 200 and somtimes adds 100 ( also i would like it to add up in numerical value example: if it adds 100 and it has 200 it equals 300 not 200100). I also have penniestxt where sometimes it adds 30 and somtimes it adds 40.

I am trying to create a little chess similar game as part of my studies. Well I am actually new on AS, but I experimented a little bit and already found out some things...
The Facts: I already created a little Chess-similar-Board with 9x9 fields. I created an Array with the coordinates of each field and another one with the fieldnames. when i click on my "hero" a call the function showMoves(), which (how could it be) shows me the possible moves. modify an existing flash shopping cart I purchased from Flashden.net (link). The cart uses two XML files to pull in data and to configure most of the data settings. I need help with one thing: I'm using this cart on a sunglasses shopping site and I need to configure the optional sunglasses to be clickable so they can be added to the cart. I know I need to modify both the flash .fla and the xml file so I've included the code for both below. Here's a link to the website I'm trying to re-configure. The section I need to edit has the optional sunglasses on the right-hand side of the main photo.Here's the first xml file that does some of the basic settings. This file is called settings.xml.[code]I made an attachment for the actionscript code called actionscript.txt that needs to be modified. All I need to do is figure out a way to make the optional images clickable so they can be added to the main cart. We can also just create a button that says add to cart next to each sunglass option. Either way works for me. I'm even willing to compensate the person who can help me come up with a workable solution.

the cart items are outputted into a dynamic text field. The problem is that next to each item i need to add a delete button that deletes the specific row that it is placed upon.i know i could use splice to remove the item from the array, but the problem is getting to this stage first.
How to add text to a dynamic text field so that a line of text is created, and you can keep on adding to it. I need it to simply add a number to the text line everytime certain buttons are pushed rather than multiplying it like a score in a game and I think I have gone wrong somewhere.
Here's my example: I have multiple buttons on the stage and each button has a different value applied to it (eg: BTN1 has 1, BTN2 has 2, BTN3 has 3 and so on...)
So (as an example) I was wanting to end up with the following in my dynamic text field "1132" if "BTN 1" was clicked 2x and "BTN 3" was clicked 1x and "BTN 2" was clicked 1x......
