ActionScript 3.0 :: Buttons To Navigate Forward And Back But Gets Stuck In Back?

Dec 4, 2010

Anyways I am using action script 3.0 and I created multiple layers using just one scene.  I created a layer with lables on them to mark where I want my buttons to point to and go to.  I have the stop (); on the first frame.  And I made my buttons mostly interactive with movie symbols and tweens.My first scene I have 2 doors, the user can pick which door to go to and it takes them into a different path.I made the buttons that are clicked to go forward, and then I tried to make an invisible button on the button edge of the scene to go backwards However, the PROBLEM is when I click my button to go backwards I am stuck on the first page and can't move forward.

function gotoOne(evt:Event):void{  gotoAndStop("one")}backbutton1.addEventListener("click",gotoOne);
function gotoFour(evt:Event):void{

Code:

if(page1 = _currentframe){
_root.gotoAndStop("quiz");

it works when the (page1 = _currentframe){ is rotated with the first if statement...because for somereason it seems to not recognise the "else if's"

Change Webpages With Button URL Links?

Oct 25, 2009

I'm building a site to showcase various engagement tools for the web. Most of what is involved is new to me. My biggest challenge is finding the right AS3 code to make buttons link to URLs. when I try to duplicate it and change the btn name, in order to make two, or three or four separate links to four unique buttons I get an error about trying to call the same function more than once. This is her code and as I said it works for one button link. Can it be made to work for multiple instances?

inv_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, buttonClickHandler);function buttonClickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void { navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.adobe.com")); trace("I'm clicked");}

Right now all of my links use the Properties text link feature, which continues to deliver target=blank function despite my having deleted the target and saved and republished way more than once.

how can I lock the assessment button until all the other pages containing the content has been viewed? A bonus would be a pop saying something like "Please view content first" appearing when they try to click it.

Media Server :: FMS 4 - FLV Not Saving - Record Video From The Users Webcam And Play It Back At A Later Date

I'm trying to record video from the users webcam and play it back at a later date.

[Code]...

However, when I look at the FMS Admin Console at the streams in app/_definst_, their types are either "NetStream" or "Live". If they were being saved wouldn't they say "Stored"? After I close the application doing the recording, the "NetStream" type stream disappears, and after a while all the "Live" typed streams are gone too. Nothing is saved.

I have no idea what is happening. I don't know if it's a problem with my AS3 code not closing the recording properly or if I'm doing something else wrong, or maybe somethgin isn't right in the FMS?

ActionScript 2.0 :: Getting An Active/viewed Button Script To Work?

Apr 10, 2010

Having spent ages finally getting an active/viewed button script to work, I thought all I had to do to complete things was add the button actions (I want each button to load an external swf). For some reason, this is then preventing the above working as it should. I suspect it's obvious to someone who understands this stuff, but I've got things working so far through a mixture of copy/paste and trial&error, and I've got completely stuck at this last hurdle.

[Code]...

I think this may have something to do with the order it's all in, and I suspect having most of the above commands in a for / if loop might not support me adding additional actions afterwards which may overrule the other ones.without anyone else wasting too much time, if anyone can see the (presumably obvious to some people) mistake I'm making in the above, please let me know!

ActionScript 1/2 :: Track Scenes Viewed And Display Image A Or Image B Based On Scenes Viewed

Feb 26, 2011

I have an interactive story divided into scenes. At the end of each scene a button appears. This occurs on a frame on the timeline.

There are two different buttons that might appear based on whether a prior scene has been viewed or not.

For example, there are Scene_1 and Scene_2. At the end of Scene_2 one of two buttons will appear. The buttons will be either "Go see Scene_1" or "Return to Main Menu".

If the user has already seen Scene_1, Flash will know that and automatically go to the frame in Scene_2 that contains the button "Return to Main Menu".

Conversely, if the user has not seen Scene_1, Flash will know and automatically go to the frame in Scene_2 that contains the button "Go see Scene_1".

I imagine there would be an action frame at the end of Scene_2 that will contain the as2 code to enable this action.

Perhaps something like, but probably not at all like the following:

if ("Scene_1", last frame == true){gotoAndPlay("frame#");}else{gotoAndPlay("frame#");}

One way is to create separate swf files for the web pages and load them when the web page is requested. Another way is to put the pages in separate frames in the same swf file or to use scenes and use gotoAndPlay(). Another possible way is to create separate movie clips for the web pages.

WebPages Won't Display Flash On Apache 2.2

Apr 3, 2010

I posted this on the Apache board, but after 4 days with no reply am still needing an answer so I thought I'd try here.

Needing a testing server I installed Apache 2.2 and PHP onto my Windows XP Laptop. That went great. However I can't run flash modules, like, for example, a video player streaming an FLV.

I was only able to install Apache and PHP by following directions, but don't really know much about such installs.

What do I need to do to make Apache run (display) flash?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Display Webpages Within Flash?

The thing is I'm using a script I bought from Activeden.net which is awesome and works great for displaying external webpage's within you flash site.

However, there are a few issues. If you visit the link above (WEMI) and navigate to either "Till salu" or "Frmedlade hem" you'll notice that the popup is not positioned in the middle. Also, the popup only goes away if you interact with it, such as scrolling down or something like that. You can't just click on another button, say "Kontakta oss" and continue navigate. I just won't go away.

"You can call setInvisible(); through the popup reference (in the example called p) and to center it you can add a resize event listener to the stage and in the callback function set the x and y of the popup"[code]...
