I just read this tutorial : [URL]. Got it to work fine, and even added a function to have a click sound play on rollOver. The thing is, I can't change the color of the link text on rollOver.

They all have a different link added for each line in the list but I have been asked to make them change colour on rollover. I could do that with a simple rollover this. but that changes the colour in one sudden stroke while what I'm looking for is a gradual pass from tint A to tint B. As an example, If button A is yellow and button B is blue, it should show the pass from green as I switch from button to button.

Instead of creating a button and nesting movie clips for each state, I'm trying to script an animated button of a square (no fill) where on rollover the stroke color changes from one color to another (tweening the tint). I want to do this to the button symbol so it's the same for all instances. Is this possible or do I have to go the button > nested MC route? I am trying to link my list component to the movieclips drawn from an xml...basically my app reads an xml and draws a floorplan of booths...the list is populated with exhibitors and is linked to the rented booths on the floor plan...currently when you click an exhibitor in the list, the alpha of the booth changes to 10...then back to 100 when you choose another exhibitor...I want to change the color of the booth to something else like yellow...is this possible through actionscript? I am trying to change the color of an image within a MC using color matrix. What I want to do is adjust he hue, saturation, contrast, and brightness so I can create a realistic color change without affecting shadows when you click on a color box. I have played with the filters within the application and can achieve it but want to do so with actionscript.
On each button I have a code similar to...
