ActionScript 2.0 :: Change Color On Rollover With Xml Driven Links?

I am creating a flash website that is pretty much loading everything externally. I have some links that are loaded in by xml and I would like for them to change color when you rollover them. Ok I will give you the full actionscript and then the few excerpts from that actionscript where I think it should go, but hey I could be wrong it hasn't worked for me yet. heh.

I have a scrolling dynamic text box that has a list of links in it. They all have a different link added for each line in the list but I have been asked to make them change colour on rollover. Normally I would just create a button and rollover but I can't as the text is scrolling. Is there a way of adding AS2 or even css that means I can make each link change colour on RollOver?

I have taken over a site that uses deeplinking. I am not very good with AS yet and can't figure out how to make the buttons simply change color on rollover. This is the script for each button. [code]I am a newb at this and am just trying to stay afloat and get this updated.

I am creating a timeline and as you scroll the timeline, I want the links of the different time periods of the timeline to change color as the timeline passes that point. Here is the code I have:

The If and Else statement both work fine, but the Else IF statement does not work at all. The color will not change when the movie clip is between those two x values.

On layer 2 I have my movie clips loc1, loc2, loc3....etc... inside a movie clip (Inner Main) , and on layer 1 I have a movie clip (click).

Is there a way to set a rollover color for each series in a chart?For instance, I have a column chart with two series: one series is set to blue and the second series is set to gold.
When the user mouses over the blue series, I would like the blue to turn to bright blue. And when the user mouses over the gold series, I would like the gold to turn to bright gold.Also, is it possible to change the color of the chart item when a chart item is clicked?

Basically, i have created a simple rollover map of London Boroughs. I have a dynamic text box following the cursor which is populated by an edited version of the Borough MC's instance name. So far so good. I would really like a way of neatly loading text and image information in a pop-up for each Borough, when that Borough MC is clicked on, via an xml file which contains all relevent data.I have managed to create a simple xml file to contain the data, and to 'trace' the various required attributes (borough name, data, images, captions), but am unsure how to connect the data to the action of clicking on a particular Borough.From reading around the many xml discussions (mostly discussing image galleries) i think this involves using a loop array? As i am new to flash i am struggling to find the right way of applying this method in this circumstance

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this. Instead of creating a button and nesting movie clips for each state, I'm trying to script an animated button of a square (no fill) where on rollover the stroke color changes from one color to another (tweening the tint). I want to do this to the button symbol so it's the same for all instances. Is this possible or do I have to go the button > nested MC route? Sorry if this is lame...it's been awhile since I've used Flash and I've forgotten quite a bit.

i have followed the complex button tutorial today to design a websites buttons..
I wanted each button to link to a seperate frame for each seperate page of the site.
The roll out effect is all in one movieclip, with the actions on frame one (below)

This is my first post here and it my be a hard one to understand? Overview I have four buttons on the main stage (info) (help) (bio) (main) When you Rollover a button it fades to another color/when you rollout it fades back to the original color I have a script that does the color change because I do not want to use motion tweens. Here is what I did I made a 2 frame MC named infoMC In the 1st frame of the MC I made the word (info) a nested MC and attached the color change code to it. The 2nd frame of the MC Is the same as the 1st frame but I revesed the color change

[URL] I finally figured out how to get my rollover links to work, but now I need to figure out how to make the bottom links move. For example, when we rollover the Arizona Link, we want the California and Contact Us links to move BELOW the Arizona rollovers. And same thing for when the California link is rolled over, we want the Contact Us link to move BELOW the California roll overs. I have a few movie clips that change color when they are rolled over and rolled out of which is great and works correctly but now I have add glows to those buttons to serve as borders or a stroke and when you roll over the buttons the color and the filter color changes.

What I am trying to do is to have the button color change to a different color when it is on the page. The color only changes when I roll over it or hit it. Once I am on the page it changes back to the color it is on the up state.

I'm in the process of learning OOP and have run into a small problem. I'm trying to create a basic menu system where you can rollover and rollout of all links. When you select a link, it stays highlighted until you click another link.I've given the 5 links instance names like (link0, link1, link2, link3, link4) and given them each an ID of (0,1,2,3,4) - respectively. I used to be able to do something like this:

I bought a flash site template that loads xml driven swfs inside the main swf as different menu items are clicked. The modules that come with the template work fine, but I don't know how to add a third party xml driven swf, so that it shows up properly. While the third party swf works fine as a standalone, the embedded version loads just an empty movie.

client decided on a different font (after we finished everything), so i had to go change the font. in one page, whenever i change the font in one text block, the XML-driven lists stop being rendered. they load, according to the trace statements, but nothing actually renders. when i change it back to the original font, boink! everything is just fine. if i delete the text and create a new field... same thing. i finally had to hide the thing and make a new text block in it's place.

I am looking for a way to change stroke color via AS3. The objects I would like to change are created with flash professional. They do have a fill. I just want to change the stroke color and not the fill color... is this possible? ... or am I stuck removing all fills and using a filter?
