I'm in the mist of a flash project and my client really liked how the (www.nike.com) navigation on this site works to get you into their multitude of sites. I don't care about the sliding and following the mouse. I only care about the showing of "submenus" they way they are doing it to the side with the easing and reveal effects.I would like to create the navigation effect with XML and Actionscript 2.0.

View 1 RepliesI need to get an effect with my navigation and I have most of it sorted but there is one thing I can't seem to get right.I have an about button, and when I click it, I want all of the buttons (including the about button) to move to a new location on the stage so that each section of the site looks different, if you get what I mean.
I was also wandering if the buttons could be moved and ease into position aswell?I hope this can be done by actionscript, and if it can it's probably easy, but I can't seem to move anything with actionscript that isn't a MovieClip.
I have actually managed to get about 99% completed and published but I am having a issue with bleed through when clicking (or loading and unloading swfs) when navigating from one page to another, the intro page/whole site opening is appearing for a split second or even sometimes longer before the new (swfs) page loads, possibly ran into the same issue and managed an easy fixCheck the site to see what I mean it is the best way to understand the problem, after intro navigation buttons are enbled and then click to see the effect I am reffering to. (opening interior design page flickers for half a second then disappears)P.S. Here is the code I believe where my error/fix is at !

View 1 RepliesI will just try my best to explain my document, I have a movie with 4 different content pages on the same layer I have buttons to take you to each page when clicked. Once clicked the content holder has a scale tween that scales to 0 then to full size to create like a box in and out effect with the text content appearing using Alpha once the content box is full size. The box out effect happens after the content has been visible and I would like it to be the in-between effect between the different content pages. So I guess I am asking how to continue playing the rest of the tween then goto and play the next relevant page after the button click at the moment my code is navigating but missing the last part of the tween as I am not sure on how to get it to play to the end of the tween then carry on from that frame to the beginning of the next content page.
View 9 Repliesi have a menu which has 10 items. there are sub menus for each of them. the submenus total to 40 items. and when i click on ech of these submenus, then i need an image to appear on a part of the stage. Now, I need the same effect for ech of the image. Say when i click on the 1st submenu of the 1st main menu, the image of an apple comes from the bottom the stage to the centre of the stage.
Now when I click on any other submenu - say 1st submenu of the 3rd main menu, this apple image should go off the stage from the top and an image of mango should appear from the bottom of the stage to the centre of the stage (same as how apple image appeared). So, basically, i need any image to come from the bottom of the stage to centre of the screen and whn a diff image is calld, the image on the screen shld go off frm centre to the top.
how can we create the navigation bar in flash AS2.0. i need to create a navigation bar with the slider control. I called some .swf files from external folder. Now i want to add the navigation bar for that external files. That navigation bar should get the bytes of loaded .swf files. Then that navigation bar will animate upto the 100%. If i drag the slider, loaded .swf file should controlled by the slider(forward and backward).

Like a drop down menu but vertical where the main links are on the left and the submenues come out the right side of the menu. I'm a web designer. In a effort to make Flash-based sites for my clients I have gone over stacks of AS books now for months. I just don't get any of it--and I've tried. Moreover, the books all give abstract examples to do just about anything with AE. My needs are very limited: I need to use AS for web navigation in order to create Flash-based websites. Can anybody point me to Flash templates, demos, tutorials, AS libraries, websites, videos, classes, that focus on Flash navigation, with specific examples of real life websites? Or blocks of code where all I have to do is replace some lines with my own stuff? Or an AS library comparable to jQuery? I know this has to be doable. I don't know any JavaScript either, but I'm perfectly able to fulfill all my web design needs with jQuery.

View 2 RepliesI need to create a navigation scheme with a dynamic list of movieclips that cycles, the user being able to cycle through the list left or right seamlessly.For example, say there are 12 items in the list, and at any given time three of them are to be displayed, with the center one being the focus/selected item. If the user clicks on the center/focus item, it takes them to a page, no trouble. If they click on the one to the left of the focus item, the list slides right, with the clicked one becoming the new center, focus item.
So, now say that the three visible items are 10, 11, and 12 in our array. If the user clicks on number 12, the list will slide left, with number 12 becoming the focus, and the goal would be to have item number 1 become the new, right-most item in the display - thus, the visible three would be 11, 12, 1. If the user then clicked on one, the cycle would continue, making number 1 the focus and the visible items would be 12, 1, 2. This should work seamlessly at both extremes of the list.
So in one instance, I have created a single movieclip that contains all of the items in the list, plus four extra at the end, to allow the appearance of seamlessness; when the user got to the end, the entire clip jumped to the start. This works, more or less, but it's clunky and I need to find a better way.
