Jul 10, 2009I have an accordion component on my stage and I really do not even know where to start to do .I found this code on the Adobe help pages and it causes the movement of the accordion to bounce... which is great... but my problem is populating the accordion with the data.

But I'd like to adapt the script to have the home button (mvcBtn0) initially set by default to the down state - and then revert to the up state as soon as another button is pressed.
I've tried various adaptions sending the clip to down state on load and then the up state once another button is clicked - but none are working.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Tab Menu - Changing Initial State Of Buttons
Jul 1, 2009I am creating a tab menu interface with 3 buttons. I have got them working to where on the clicked state the button goes the rollover frame in the animation and freezes until the user clicks on another button tab. What I can't figure out is how to get the first button to load in the "rollover" state so it looks like the first tab is selected already. Attached is the fla file. In the main movie as I tried setting btn1 to the stop on frame 25 with:
btn1.gotoAndStop (25);
This works initially but when you click on the other buttons the btn1 stays in the selected state.

Apr 23, 2010I've got an mx accordion component that I want to populate at runtime. However, the first box will populate fine, but all the others return null reference so I can't access them. Does this have something to do with which one is currently selected? I'm creating my accordion:

Apr 4, 2010I am trying to build a Calculator used in health circles to project next year's profit and loss etc. I am using flash cs3 and actionscript2.My flash project is based on accordion component with 6 child panes, each pane having a movie clip with input text, dynamic text etc.I have a couple of push buttons that has click eventhandlers taking care of calculations . All the calculative functions are in the actions layer frame 1.I need help in displaying the same calculated fields as dynamic text in a new movie clip in another layer before printing the same movie clip.The present situation is like this, I am able to calculate all the fields, but when i click a button to show a new movie clip with all the calculated fields, all the variables are displayed as "undefined".
the dynamic variables in the new movieclip is referenced correctly i guess, i use pp_acvcfy = myacc.overheads.acv_cfy; where myacc is the accordion component , overhead the child pane and acv_cfy the dynamic text inside the pane 'overhead'. pp_acvcfy is the dynamic text in the new movie clip. Please help
Flex :: Accordion Component - Show The Whole Content Without This "white" Rectangle When It Loads?
Nov 24, 2011I've an Accordion component in my Flex application and works great, but I found a little glitch in its behaviour.While one of its menus is opening, it shows a white rectangle and, when it completely loads, it shows me the content. But I want to show the whole content without this "white" rectangle when it loads.For example:

Aug 16, 2010I'm using the slider component, and its working pretty well. I'm just having 1 issue with the enabled state. the Situation: The user has to click and hold the slider down throughout the application. once their session ends the application sends out an event to disable the slider amoung other things. All of the events work fine except for the sliders disabled state.
the Issue: The slider is effectively disabled although because the users has focus on the slider handle before and whilst the disbale event fires the user can still move it around like its really working. Untill you release your mouse it continues to move around.
I'd like to somehow force a release click or something to loose focus on the slider component so it takes on the disbaled state right away once the event is dispatched rather than waiting for the user to release for this to happen.

Sep 22, 2010I have flexlib WindowShade component in repeater in my Flex + AIR application.

Now in button1 click handler I am appending child in XML(mainMenuXML) resulting adding one more windowshade instance. But the problem is it opens all the windowshade instances. I need to maintain the opened states after adding a new windowshade instance.
For example:
Initially I get 3 windoshades with labels: abc, xyz, lmn all opened.
Now I close the xyz windowshade instance(by clicking on the header)
Now I click on button which appends child in mainMenuXML and also add a windowshade instance with some label "pqr". But now I see all the windowshade instances opened.
But it should be like abc, lmn, pqr should be opened & xyz closed(property opened="false").
How to maintain the opened true/false state of windowshade instances. I tried to add a property in dataprovider Bindable to opened property of windhowshade but didn't worked for me.

I was just trying to do a simple trace command to see if I could pull the _width of each state clip to see if I was linked up:

Whilst the user is reading the warm and fuzzy welcome note in the welcome state I want to be creating the big expensive panels state so taht when we switch there is no delay. Before the panels state is set panelView is null but I presume there must be an IDefferredInstance floating around somewhere that I can use to kick off the creation of the view. How can I get hold of it?

I found there is a gap between the datagrid and the second accordion tab. The more HBox I add, the bigger gap it has.Workaround:I tried to add verticleGap = "0", this fix the problem. But according to the documentation, verticleGap by default is -1, which still should not see the gap.[URL]
Help Please! External Linking Xml Accordion?
Aug 15, 2011The accordion i created works by recreating a single movie clip as the frame/holder for each and every 'tab' the accordion has.Now I want to have seperate links for each 'tab'. which means, at the 1st tab for example, if you click anywhere on the content area, it will take u to page #a.If you go to the 2nd tab, click, it will take u to page #b.
the current flash file has holders in it in order to let it load the xml data. such as the tab titles, content etc. they are also reproduced in AS hence there is only one instance of each in the FLA.I have created an area which is TO BE the "clickable" area on each page. But i do not know what else to do from here...
