Flex :: Accordion Component - Show The Whole Content Without This "white" Rectangle When It Loads?

I've an Accordion component in my Flex application and works great, but I found a little glitch in its behaviour.While one of its menus is opening, it shows a white rectangle and, when it completely loads, it shows me the content. But I want to show the whole content without this "white" rectangle when it loads.For example:

Image 2: I want to open another submenu, so while it's opening, a white rectangle is shown (I was really quickly to take an screenshot)

I have an accordion component on my stage and I really do not even know where to start to do .I found this code on the Adobe help pages and it causes the movement of the accordion to bounce... which is great... but my problem is populating the accordion with the data.

I'd like to create a component like that. Each rectangle may be empty half or full according user notation. So I'd mike to do the same with flex and AS3 but I don't found how. Actually, I create a 2D rectangle with no relief.

I currently have a button that triggers an event merging the movieclips on stage into one sprite, and passing it to a printer class. The printer class looks as follows:

The problem is that when clicking the button, the stage gets a white rectangle in the upper left corner that can't be removed!

I am embedding my swf file using SWFobject but I get a white box flashing before the swf file loads. I had tried all suggestions but I still have the problem.
The Flash file and the browser background color is the same. Any new ideas on how to fix this. I am a casual AS3 programmer, I just learned to be able to do my own website.

I have placed brief swf in an html page.There is a simple enter button which should load the next html page.I have used:

I have tried changing background colour to Black #000 in all fields but the white background is still there before Flash shows up on the page.
I am embedding the Flash in a html page using CSS to have it align center middle. I think that's where the problem is.

I have these movie clips you see..url...click on the text behind the white boxes.
1st I can't get the link texts to sit on top of the white boxes when it loads.
2nd, after loading the second or third box you'l begin seeing my swapDepths issues surface. I've tried pretty much every combination of swapDepths solutions.
Here is what I need. When the page loads and the box is small the link text is on top so you can read what you're clicking. When you click the link the section enlarges and I need the section to be on top. Whatd'ya think? Anyone up to a challenge? As a bonus question I can't figure out why the text goes all crazy looking at random... even the stationary text but not the dynamic text.

I've got an mx accordion component that I want to populate at runtime. However, the first box will populate fine, but all the others return null reference so I can't access them. Does this have something to do with which one is currently selected? I'm creating my accordion:

I am trying to build a Calculator used in health circles to project next year's profit and loss etc. I am using flash cs3 and actionscript2.My flash project is based on accordion component with 6 child panes, each pane having a movie clip with input text, dynamic text etc.I have a couple of push buttons that has click eventhandlers taking care of calculations . All the calculative functions are in the actions layer frame 1.I need help in displaying the same calculated fields as dynamic text in a new movie clip in another layer before printing the same movie clip.The present situation is like this, I am able to calculate all the fields, but when i click a button to show a new movie clip with all the calculated fields, all the variables are displayed as "undefined".
the dynamic variables in the new movieclip is referenced correctly i guess, i use pp_acvcfy = myacc.overheads.acv_cfy; where myacc is the accordion component , overhead the child pane and acv_cfy the dynamic text inside the pane 'overhead'. pp_acvcfy is the dynamic text in the new movie clip. Please help

I have a little Flash intro SWF i prepared and handed off to a friend who is implementing my intro animation into an HTML site.... The problem is that once the SWF (intro) finishes, there is a short gap (blank white page) before the actual HTML site loads. Is there a way around this? Is this something i need to code on my side (AS3) or is this a problem for my HTML/javascript buddy to figure out......or both.

I'm using Flash CS3 and want to create a custom ComboBox. I've followed the steps outlined in "Editing component skins in a new document" (http:/[url]...), but every time I get to the step where I drag the ComboBox Assets folder from the HaloTheme.fla library into my library, if I test movie at that point my combobox has become an unclickable white rectangle with no label, button or anything.

I'm trying to use a custom Text component to show a series of comments. I got the original idea from:

I've got the base case working but I am stuck with 2 problems I cant seem to figure out:
Since I am drawing around the text, the actual height of each bubble is greater than that of the Text field, as a result, the last bubble is always chopped off. I have tried explicitly overriding the height getter, and adding some padding, but I cant seem to get it right. You can see an example here: [URL] In my layout, I have 2 VBoxes (one nested inside the other). The first vbox shows a form where the user can enter a comment, and the second box has all the comments. In order to ensure that the scrollbars only show up on the second box, I set minHeight="0" on the nested VBox, but then for some reason, some comments' text is shifted to the right. I am aware that the follow will show a hand cursor:
component.mouseChildren = true;
component.useHandCursor = true;
component.buttonMode = true;
When I do the above on a List component, the hand button is shown and the whole component loses it's interactivity (Hand cursor is shown even on scrollbars).
So how can I show the hand cursor only when rolling over the list items?

I am developing a audio player in flex. I need a seekbar kind of like on youtube's video player. To implement the basic seek functionality the HSlider component is enough. But I also want to show the stream progress on the seek bar. (youtube colors the already streamed part of the seekbar red). Is there a way I can achieve the same? drag and drop audio player component with play/pause and seek functionality.

I am building a reddit app for the blackberry playbook tablet, and am making use of reddit's API. I have three mxml views: RedditReaderHomeView .mxml, redditFeed.mxml, and subredditList.mxml. In RedditReaderHomeView.mxml I have a splitViewNavigator. In left side of my SplitViewNavigator resides subredditList.mxml,and on the right side resides redditFeed.mxml. On initialization, redditFeed.mxml pulls in XML data to populate its list with reddit entries, and subredditList.mxml pulls in XML data which populates its list with subreddits(categories) to display. When a user clicks on of the subreddit entries on the left, the redditFeed.mxml on the right should update so that the data it pulls are entries from the subreddit category that was selected on the left. In other words, classic master/detail navigation. Category on the left, which opens entries of that category on the right.I have a function that passes the url of the selected subreddit over to redditFeed.mxml.

I am primarily a designer and a minor programmer. I am pretty new to action script - although I have made numerous buttons and movies in flash. I am re-designing my web site using dreamweaver and I am loading animated flash rollover buttons of my thumnails into dreamweaver. When I view the illustrations page the seven buttons I have plugged in so far show up instantly and work just fine - click on them and they open the page with the illustration, but in Firefox the same page opens with white squares indicating the placing of the rollovers and unless you mouse over them and activate them that is all you see. if you roll over a button and allow the animation to occur you will then see the button and it works etc., but if you navigate back to the page it happens all over again. I have not been able as usual to test it yet in explorer because I don't have a pc - I work on a mac and all my computers are macs. But Safari and Opera work as I had expected.

I'm creating a flex-based video player, using the FLVPlayback component (imported from Flash Pro CS3). I've reskinned all of the player controls and linked them in, and it's all working really well...However, if you try to seek beyond the point where the video has loaded (it's using progressive download), the video completely freezes. You can no longer pause, play, seek to somewhere else, or anything. I understand it can't actually play a point in the video that hasn't been downloaded, but the whole thing seems to just become unresponsive

I have custom components which must adjust their text content based on space constraints. For example a component adds labels until there is no space, and then the content of the last label becomes "(x more)"
I do not have access to size of child controls before adding them. When in updateDisplayList, I make changes to the layout of the component, but for labels, lblInstance.text property fires events, which lead to updateDisplayList being called again. I know that updateDisplayList may be called more than once, but if there is a way to modify text without triggering events, that'd be really useful. For example, setActualSize method in UIComponent allows this kind of modification. Anything similar for text controls? Or do you have best practices for laying out and managing text content, in the context of custom Flex components?

All my scripts are being loaded non-blocking, all are before except for one in but I tested removing it and the white flash is still happening on page loads.All my stylesheets are using link rel in the head. I'm out of ideas.

There is no nested components displayed when I run my app.
The debugger shows they are created and visible.
To my "amusement" the components are shown when I replace s:TitleWindow with mx:TitleWindow.
I really want to use spark TitleWindow.
