I was wondering if anyone might know offhand why the images at this link: [URL] don't load properly the first time. Because after you let the browser load all of the images, then refresh the page, they load perfectly.
I realize that I should be posting the source code, but I don't have it right now. I will post it later today, for anyone interested.

Any clue why it wouldn't load? I don't think its a prob. with the content or the server. I used to have a random background script in there. But now we aren't using a random back ground.
View 4 RepliesIs there way to get the browser to always load any swf files before everything else on a page (exept the external css and swfobject.js). Using Firebug's Net statistics I can see the swf files generally load last.
We have all our external js files inserted at the bottom of the page to help loading times.
I have been trying to figure out the best way to load content into a container on an .php page which has three different .swfs already loaded - one is an mp3 player which I do not want to stop playing (this will obviously happen on a page refresh). The objective is to keep a flash menu for navigation given it's nice animation capabilities, but load page content into a container underneath. There are JavaScript files out there that work in conjunction with php (ajax) to accomplish this, but once I throw flash into the mix everything goes sideways. I know you can include js with the ExternalInterface.call function, but this only solves the js portion not the php bit.

View 9 Replies[URL] For reasons unknown to me, the xml gallery on the page above won't load in any of the images in Firefox. However it does work in IE7, as well as locally in Firefox, Safari and Opera. I have tried removing the whole site and re-uploading it, as well as updating the individual files separately but I still seem to have the same problem.

View 2 Repliesi'm working on a project that uses php and xml to link my database information with flash. I've successfully allowed flash to read the xml contents. I need to randomise the data i retrieved from the database, so my xml content will change everytime i refresh the browser. However, i realised that the flash content didn't change like the xml content. The script to read the xml is written on the 1st frame of my 1st scene. Is there a way to read the xml again everytime i refresh the browser or re-enter the scene?

After we allow people to watch the movies I go to our servers and delete the .flv files. however some web browsers keep this in their cache, like IE. So basically I want o know if there is a script I can use that will refresh the viewers browser after we view it and after I delete the .flv files causing the .flv files to no longer be in their cache.

View 1 RepliesI have a file upload tool that I created in flash (as2). The file uploads images and then writes the image details to a database. However, I seem to have a problem then when I refresh the page, the upload script keeps working.And this seems to cause some issues with writing to the database when image don't actually appear to be on the server. I have fixed the issue by doing some checking to see if the file actually exists before writing to the server, but I would like to know why this happens.

View 6 RepliesSo far my code takes hex codes out of tweets containing a certain hashtag, and draws a square of that hex code colour. If someone were to tweet a new set of hexcodes while you were looking at the site, you would have to manually refresh the page to see the new squares.

What I want the SWF to do is play from the beginning when someone hits the index.php file and gotoAndStop(234) when someone goes to a sub-page (like contact.htm).What I did first was:

And that worked in the sense of no cookie-it loads and plays the swf from the beginning. If
there is a cookie it starts from frame 234.
As it sits now as long as the cookie exist in the TIF everytime they return to my page it will not play the opening animation it will just jump to then end even on the index.php.
