ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash - PHP - Xml Gallery On The Page Won't Load The Images In Firefox?

[URL] For reasons unknown to me, the xml gallery on the page above won't load in any of the images in Firefox. However it does work in IE7, as well as locally in Firefox, Safari and Opera. I have tried removing the whole site and re-uploading it, as well as updating the individual files separately but I still seem to have the same problem.
have just built a website in Dreamweaver CS4 which has a different Flash banner on each page with a fade in/out text. My problem is that in Firefox the whole screen flashes white for a second when moving from page to page. It seems to work fine in IE. The link is [URL]
I have a photo gallery that is XML based. In IE everything works fine. In Firefox, the gallery will load all the thumbnails and then hang up when loading the large image. The trouble is this only happens on the galleries that have a lot of images in them. It works fine with smaller galleries. Since it's xml driven, the images are not loaded until called for and all the thumbnails get loaded. I did see a post about a var being collected for garbage if it's defined inside a function, but I've tried to limit that to just declaring a new image to be displayed. My site is: [URL]. Here's the site: [URL] From feedback I've gotten, it appears that under certain circumstances the first image in a set of images does not load properly, although I haven't seen it myself. I'm told this happens only in Firefox. And I believe only Flash player 8. Works fine with FF and Flash player 9, or IE with 8 or 9 I believe.
I have a flash image gallery that loads images through xml. Images have to be croped for thumbnails. So u have to have two folders, one for the thumbnails an another file for the big size images. I would like to know if there is a way to load only one image ( and not this image's thumbnail too) and with a script or something, to resize this image to get the thumbnail. To make my self clearer here is the xml code:

(For some reason it doesnt show the xml right...) I dont want to have the line (thumb>../gallery_flash.), but only load one image and get the thumbnail also.
i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,

The following code loads my "Gallery.swf" external file on HomePage_mc (Which is Page-1). But I would like it to load it on Gallery_mc (which is Page-6). How can I do that? The following is the code:

PS: There was a problem with a curly bracket. Now it is fixed but when I go to home page or any other page after clicking on the Gallery button, the Galley.swf but still playing on top of all those pages. How to fix it?
I've been using an auto updating XML slideshow that updates every so often. Fine when i preview it in IE...fails miserably on Firefox. It won't display the images. Are there differences in the way Firefox deals with Flash or am I missing some kind of setting in Firefox as I've only recently downloaded it.
I purchased this template, and it was supposed to be as simple as creating a new folder containing the images I want and uploading it, but I can't get the movie to load it.[code]...
I have built a gallery similar to the one found on Kirupa with a siding thumbnail gallery that references xml. Everything works great except that the images I want to load at their large size vary in width so when they load referencing the upper left hand corner they are not centered. I would like to load them so that each image in centered in the "picture" image area. I created a new movie clip and gave it the instance name of "picture" and center justified it but the images now load with THEIR upper left corner in the center of the "picture" image area. do I have to add code to the xml? is there anything I can ad to th AS to load pictures centered?
I am having this problem with the firefox browser. I made a full flash site that contains a gallery ( xml ) and it works fine in I.E.. however, in firefox, the images in the gallery wont show. The gallery page stays blank, and just the "loading" text.. And also, I tried uploading it to a local server and it worked well for i.e and even firefox, the problem arises when we upload it to the main server.. The images wont show up again..
I am building a website with an image gallery using XML to load thumbnails and images.
Firstly, I was going to try to make the thumbnails act like buttons, so the mouse cursor would change to a little pointing finger like it does in buttonmode but i could not get this to work.
Secondly, I also wanted the alpha properties of the other buttons to reduce to about 0.75 to highlight the selected thumnail that would stay at its full alpha value of 1. Yet again i could not get this to work either.Can you build this type of functionality into the imported xml data or am I just kidding myself here?
i've got all the xml coded and ready to go, now what i struggle is to implement my existing preloader to make it load each image. This is a work done by my friend and i am just continuing his final works so it took me quite a long time to digest these codes too.

If I wanted my flash web page to show a different picture on the bottom layer with graphics on layers above each time it is opened, would I be better off using xml or some kind of onLoad function?
So I've been working on a Flash-based web portfolio for my sound design work, and I'm creating a gallery of images/sound clips which load dynamically (that way I don't need to recompress the swf file every time I add/remove a production). I'm having trouble with checking to see if files exist; for example, I want to check if a sound file exists, and if it does, set the alpha property of a symbol to 100%, and if it doesn't, set the alpha property of that symbol to 25%.
The code I'm using works fine when I test the file locally, but as soon as I upload the file and test it, the movie responds as if a file exists even when it doesn't, and I can't figure out why.
I was wondering if anyone might know offhand why the images at this link: [URL] don't load properly the first time. Because after you let the browser load all of the images, then refresh the page, they load perfectly.
I realize that I should be posting the source code, but I don't have it right now. I will post it later today, for anyone interested.
My client wanted two distinct swf on a web page: a viewer on top and a slideshow of images at bottom.Clicking a link on the slideshow make the viewer load a movie, by means of LocalConnection api.The slideshow has a default, so when the page is loaded a default movie start.This works nice on all browser. The only problem I have is on firefox. When screen resolution is too low, or the monitor is too small (netbook) the slideshow remain hidden until scrolling. Therefore at page loading it doesn't start and the main viewer don't get instructed on playing the default video.As soon as I scroll the page, and the slideshow swf display on page, it starts and everything works fine. I cannot change the design, I must have two distinct swf, the come from a library he has, and I am trying to reuse components.
I have a an unobtrusive flash video looping in the background of a website, it is not essential to navigation - it is purely cosmetic.The flash video loops every 30 seconds.As this video is on all pages, it jumps back to the start when a new page is loaded.Is there an actionscript / javascript way to get it to remember the position it got to on the old page so it can start there on the new page?I do know that this can be accomplished by loading the flash movie in a frame as well as by having the subsequent pages load the contents in AJAX but I was hoping not to go down this route.I have seen other people ask the question and allude to the solution but they only posted that they got it to work without saying how.
Im working on a website for school, and im doing it through flash. The server ive been given is being taken up by thousands of pages, so its slow. Instead of loading each page through HTML, ive decided i could do a seperate frame for each page. However, to reach the menu at the bottom, you have to scroll down. Is there any way to make it so that when you click a button to load a different page for the flash player to scroll up all the way to the top of the page itself?
Flash will ONLY load when it becomes into view on the screen For example, it won't load a Flashmove that is at the bottom of the page INSTEAD: it will ONLY load when that part of the screen comes into view

I have a basic site for an old age home. Recently I decided to put a Flash Movie on the Homepage but even though all files are loaded and links correct it won't show in either IE or Firefox...

I have a flash gallery I created using Flash CS4 and Actionscript 3. It plays perfectly in FireFox, but in IE and Safari it just shows me a blank space on the page where the gallery should be. As a test I uninstalled Flash Player, and FireFox and Safari showed me the message that a newer version of Flash was needed along with a link to get it, but IE showed nothing. Now that Flash is re-installed, only FireFox actually loads/plays the gallery. With IE it doesn' tmatter if I use the 32-bit or 64-bit, or if compatibility mode is on or off. I tried republishing with Flash 9 set instead of Flash 10, but that made no difference. It fails with the HTML file generated out of Flash, as well as the page I created in Dreamweaver and used the Insert Media command to insert the .swf:

I create a SWF from Flash cs5 and this SWF will load a XML.. the XML had specified a list of images the SWF will load these images from this XML then I export the SWF from Flash CS5 and import it into the html by Dreamweaver CS5 DW CS5 will create a script file for this SWF when I save this page... I open it with the differences browsers just like IE6 IE7 IE8 Chrome Firefox3.6.3 because I wanna my page could be compatible with any popular browsers... I saw it worked fine in IE series and Chrome.. but when I open it in Firefox 3.6.3 at first it works,too. but when I refresh the Firefox..
i couldn't find a tutorial on this matter so i sorta started making my own hypothesis... what i'm trying to do is: have a gallery of images automatically scrolling horizontally while having the set of images loop. like at[URL]..
here are a couple of my theories and questions for AS commands to have this work:
1) display a range of pixels of an image at certain positions, i.e. if gallery is scrolling to the left, leftmost image when its parts are disappearing out of the viewing area, they become visible at the right.
2) have two instances of each image and when an image is disappearing on left, the second instance of that image comes visible on the right. this I imagine would take up more HD space.
i guess what i was wondering more about is how jager did their gallery where there's only enough images are in a set to be viewed in the viewing area.
I have a flash swf gallery that links to my flickr images via the flickr api. If I click on the index.html page on my local desktop then the main images (jpgs) are displayed high quality via IE8, however when I upload the swf and html page to my server when I access it via http the images are highly pixellated and low quality anyone know why on my desktop via the browser its fine, but when viewing through the server the images are low quality pixellated etc [URL]
I've built a flash XML gallery (using the kirupa tutorial) and i would like to change one thing: instead of having to wait between each image for a loading (even if it can be real quick) i'd prefer preload all images before, in the way the mcLoader class does (progressively). I've triyed some things like assigning a massLoad of the images on first frame, or loading (on first frame too) all images in a mcLoader hidden under the movieclip which loads the pictures found in the XML but none worked. I've triyed to change some lines in the code but it was a disaster too, as long as i don't really understand all the code (but only globally).
