I am using the below code on a button to load another movie, graphic.swf is there a way i can get it to load a particular frame, i.e frame 150 of graphic.swf rather then start at frame 0.

I have my flash on multiple scenes, and would like to play an animation when clicking on the navigation button before switching to a different scene.
I'm halfway to accomplishing this.

The above code is on a blank keyframe. Changepage1 is the start of the animation and Changepage2 is the end of the animation.
Upon clicking the navigation button it plays the above scenes.
However it doesn't change scenes to scene "Home2".
I have a question about loading external data. When I had all my actionscript export to frame one, it would slow down the preloader and not show up until it was far into the progress bar animation. So I moved everything to frame 2. The problem with that is now my menus which are populated from an xml file are not there when the site starts to play. How can I get my xml data to load on frame one, but leave the .as fils to load in frame 2?
View 6 RepliesI'm currently making an animation which will eventually exceed the 16,000 frame limit (don't ask haha), so, short of making two movies and having to just start up the next one, what is the code for loading a movie? I presume they need to be in the same directory? So basically all I want is on the last frame of the movie the code executes and the second movie file opens up and starts. I guess I'd want the current movie to close, too.

I have 3 movies 'page flip4', 'pageflip4-2', and 'page flip 4-3' . I have used the code below to go (flip bacwards) from 'page flip4-2' to the frame label ''backflip'' in 'page flip4'..This works fine

I'm building a flash application where the user can play multiple 30 sec .flv movies (one at a time) in slowmotion by pressing or holding down the left and right arrows keys.The user can hold/press "keypress right" to move to the next (key)frame and "keypress left" to move to the previous (key)frame in the .flv files.I have tested embeeding one .flv movie to the stage and it's working fine.But since I will be using many flv's I want to load the .flv's dynamiclly (on button clicks) using netstream or FLVPlayer. Would it be possible to step beetween keyframes in the same way if the .flv's are loaded dynamiclly? Or, must I embeed each .flv file into separate swf's and then dynamiclly load the swf's to my main stage?

now how do i make the movie clip to first go from frame 1 to 10( last frame in teh movieclip) with the text time and then when the movie clip starts again it should say place and so on and so forth.. depending on how many textline variables i define in the text file?
I need to create a script that will jump to a certain frame in the scene when a movie cilp reaches its last frame. Putting a goto... within the MC itself doesn't work. I assume that I need to create a listener of some sort....I haven't been able to find what I need in any documentation (and I'm even been looking through AS dictionaries going back to Flash 4).

the trick is.. i want the button to play frame 10 to 40 then after playing from frame 10-40 the movie stops and then play frame 80 to 100
i'm very new at flash and finally ended all the work i wanted to do here. now i just need to had the actions so it will run properly. basically i just need it to stop in each frame and run the animation of the movie clip on that frame. if it's i can put the project here so you can see what and were i need to had the actions.

I am making a quiz/game, and it works like this, two teams that have to take over the united states, by answering history questions, so right now I have it were when you click on a state, it takes you to a question (on a different frame in the main timeline), then I have a problem, if you get the question right it takes you to the "board" of the United States (that works), but when you are back the color of the state should change its color to red (on frame of the clip) if south got it and blue (another frame of the clip) if north got itBut instead i changes back to grey (default color, all start grey to begin with). This code takes the movie back to the first frame and works on the third frame. For some reason, though, the same code on the fifth frame has no effect. The button doesn't do anything. I have tried using the same button, I tried inserting a new keyframe with a new button, renaming the button, etc. and for some reason I just can't get it to work on the fifth frame. If it helps to visualize, I am essentially making a menu. The first frame contains buttons to take you to submenus, located on following slides. This button to go back to the original menu is on each frame with a submenu, but for some reason only works on one of them.
I have a opening movieclip that starts playing for my background and then I have two buttons that come up on moues over event, that if clicked on start one of my two longer Movie Clips that I have as progressive download through a flvplayer on Key frame 2 & 3. I have all that working but I want it to go back to the start or keyframe 1 when the clip is done playing so I can use the same opening menu to click on the second movie clip can some one give me any tips on how to get to go back to the start when the movie is done.

View 5 RepliesI have a movieclip to dynamically load swf's. Some of my swf's are slideshows and contain jpgs that are quite large. Therefore I do not want to wait till the end of a complete load to show the swf. Say, if i want to show picture 3 (at frame 3), i'd like to show it as soon as the frame is loaded. However, I also need to rezie the swf to fit my mc's fixed size. Resize only works after all bytes of the swf are loaded I believe.

I have main flash file called index.swf and in that I'm loading an external movie called help.swf using the below code: loadMovie("help.swf",1);
On help.swf I have a button which brings me back to the main file i.e. index.swf using the below code. _root.loadMovie("index.swf");
When index.swf is loaded I want it to go to a particular frame. I tried using levels but then my print function doesn't work properly.
