I am building a site that has a slideshow presentation. This slideshow, I built as an external movieclip. When the user clicks on the navigation button to view the slideshow, i need it to load as fullscreen and then when the user clicks the navigation to go somewhere else, i need it to not be fullscreen.
View 1 RepliesWhat I've done is created a "fullscreen SWF" by using ActionScript to stretch a movie clip (yellow rectangle) in the background to fill the whole browser frame. The navigation is positioned in the upper left using ActionScript also; when the user resizes the window, positions are adjusted so the nav always stays in the upper left. (Adapting the technique from http:[url]....
External SWFs are loaded from an XML file into a blank movie clip on a layer that is between the yellow background and the navigation (adapting the kirupa XML Photo Gallery). Here's my problem: I want to be able to create full screen backgrounds for these external SWFs so when they are loaded into the main SWF they cover up all the of yellow background of the main clip. Also if the user resizes the window, I hope like the main SWF, the background on the external SWF can also resize to match.
If you press next twice to get to item three for example, I want to be able to stretch that orange box to fill the entire background. You'll notice if you resize the window on the third item, the orangle rectangle will adjust, it's just not correct.
I have am having a bit of trouble. I am trying to run a flash presentation in fullscreen mode that loads and unloads several external swf files when you click on different buttons around the stage. There are no problems at all if you are not in full screen mode. As long as none of the external swf files have a flv playback instance they play fine...there are 2 files that have flv movies playing in them. When the playhead gets to the keyframe playing them the screen goes to black and the entire presentation locks up even though I have
subFLV.fullScreenTakeOver = false;
in the actions for the external swf file (subFLV is the name of the flvplayback)
I have also tried
this.subFLV.fullScreenTakeOver = false;
I'm not sure how to force the flvplayback in a child instance of a movie to not take over the screen. Any ideas? Or have I talked myself into a circle again..
I am working with a site that's similar to : [URL]. When you click on Wedding Site and then go to the gallery, you will see the pics loading full screen and the navigation bar on top of the pics. What I have done is I have made each one of this pics a separate .swf file so
they load individually once they are called using the " loadMovie("pic1.swf") code line. On layer 10 (being at the very top) I have my menu so it will always display on top
of anything else. Now on layer 3, frame x I have a movieclip called : fotos_mc,
inside this fotos_mc on layer 1, frame 1 I call the swf using the code above:
"loadMovie(pic1,swf");
However when the picture loads, it covers the full screen on top of my navigation menu, on top of my logo etc. Which I dont understand why if the layer where I have placed my fotos_mc is under layer 10 which contains my menu and my logo.
The main site (index.swf) had an image slideshow style gallery displayed prominently across the entire site - i.e it never changed while the rest of the site did. That is gone, but in its place is an external .swf (video.swf) which is a video player to stream flv video via php. convoluted, no?
Now, I got the php streaming player from FlashGuru [URL] and it works beautifully. I added in a button for full screen toggle, and that was a cinch - two lines of AS and editing the html and I was done. I tested it as a standalone swf file, and it streams wonderfully, goes full screen with ease...perfect more or less. See it at [URL]
Then I load the video.swf movie into the index.swf movie, and when I click the full screen button, the main root (index.swf) goes full screen. The problem is that I want only the video (video.swf) to go full screen - without reloading or restarting the streaming video.
I currently have the files up at [URL] to see the swf files in action; would post the .fla files here but since the template was purchased I can't post it, and the video player is basically stock other than the full screen switch. What the heck, I'll post it here just in case...
{also, a side note; I do plan on having multiple videos to load - I currently plan to use different .swf files for each one, but if I could just pass a variable from the main (index.swf) to the other (video.swf), it would save a bit of HD space on my server.
I'm trying to find a way to use the Twicsy API to load a fullscreen of thumbnail images in Flash. When you use the Twicsy API to look for the pics via the [URL]. You get the following results.

I'm testing a full-screen Flash application. My preference is to drive the process with Java and I've had a lot of luck with the java.awt.Robot class. I'm looking for ways of modifying the test's behavior while the app still occupies the full screen. So far, I've found one "outside control", the caps lock key. If I see the process go horribly wrong, I turn on caps lock. Toolkit.getLockingKeyState notices that caps lock is on, and the test is terminated.
I need additional ways to change test operation, like "pause test" and "next test case." It looks like I could use num lock and scroll lock, but my tests need to run on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux, so I can't count on having those keys. This is a small operation, so it's ok if the method isn't refined. But not as kludgy as overloading the caps lock key with 5 different operations. I have no internal control of the application; I'm supposed to "test" just like a user.
how to get hyperlinks that points to a web-page to open new window on the top of the main screen (in FullSceen mode, that works of course if I´m in normal mode). Now if I go to fullscreen mode and click the hyperlink, page opens to new window but that window lies behind the main window. User have to know that and dig it up by using alt+tab etc method...

However, I�d like there to be a Fullscreen button on the playback component, which will allow the user to toggle the video fullscreen.I cant, for the life of me, figure out how to do this with various settings�it should be easy! View 1 RepliesI have a movieclip clip that plays when the movie starts, the movieclip is a visual assets that show's that the application is loading some information but it's not showing any loading progress, just playing while the assets are loaded.I created a for loop that will load the assets using a simple loader, and then when the object is loaded the application push the object to an array.Problem is that when the loading starts all the animation that i have on screen stops until the loading is finished.The whole point is that the animation will play while it's loading.

In my main.fla, I have a code which loads the other two files. [FMX] I am having trouble loading an XML file on an external server into my flash movie when it is uploaded. The data loads in fine when the flash file is on my local computer with the xml file on a server. As soon as the flash file is uploaded the XML data will not load in.

I have created a main "site.swf" file that loads a "default.swf" file into a container after a preloader. On this default.swf file I have buttons that needs to load new external SWF files in its place in the container. All of the external SWFs contain buttons and navigations that will also call up other external SWFs into this container. So, I would like to know how to program each button (some are movieclips as buttons) to unload itself and load the respective SWF into the container (eg. AboutUsButton to call up aboutus.swf into the container). I do not have a main navigation on the site.swf file bacause the navigation changes on each SWF that needs to be loaded into the container.

I'm loading a external swf into a movie everything is fine with that. The only problem is that its loading only a part of it. Does anybody know why? Also, this swf is a mp3 player with streaming. The streaming part works but the playback doesn't.If i start only the mp3 player by itself it's working.here is the fla for the player

[URL]/img/20042005113934movie3.swf ) My Loading Progress code fails to detect the SWF file size. However the same code works perfectly for a JPG! Essentially the .getBytesLoaded() and .getBytesTotal fail to work. Why is this and how can I get it to work for loading SWFs?

I have a swf inside a html page. If I open it with IE or FF and put it into full screen I can exit full screen with the ESC button.Now if i try this with my WinForms app and WebBrowser (or ShockWave Flash Object) it's not working??
View 3 RepliesSpecifically, I am building a flash page that loads external swf files and inside some of the external swf files, I would like to add audio and flash video (flv) streaming from the Flaash Media Server. In some of the external swf files, (using a FLVPlayback component) when you press a button on the main timeline to unload the current playing swf the audio/video continues to play after loading the new external swf file.So I believe that my approach is all wrong and I should be working to dynamically load the .mp3 and.flvs in the external swf ... my questiion is how to unload those assets when loading the new external swf
View 1 RepliesLets say I have Main.swf and sub.swf, and I wanna load sub when I press a button from Main, but sub.swf has its own external class file attached, so here is the problem, when I load sub using loader class and I would get this message from the output panel:
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

seems loader class can not access sub.swf's external class when sub is being loaded.

View 2 RepliesI created a site using Kirupa's external .swf loading tutorial. Now in one of my externally loaded .swf's, I am loading another external .swf. I've gotten this to work fine, but the second external .swf (loaded into the first) contains buttons that will swap this second external .swf with another external .swf. I can't seem to get the AS references to the variables set up correctly in order to swap the swf's. The initial .swf loads fine, but the button control gets complicated inside it. It sounds rather confusing, so I've included a link to the .fla's and .swf's below.

I'm making a flash site, and i want it to load full browser with a "fullscreen"-button to go fullscreen. The problem, however, if i resize, the site will keep the same width-to-height ratio...But if i'm testing it using the flash debugger, everything resizes just correct...My html:
