ActionScript 2.0 :: [F8] Whisper's - Implement The FullScreen For Project ... External Files
Sep 11, 2007
I have managed to implement the fullScreen for my project, but can't figure out, for the life of me, how to bring in external files that center just as nicely as the internal content, when resizing the browser...
The scribd fullscreen mode is pretty neat (example: http:url...). The advantage (for RIAs specifically) is that it doesn't (almost) completely disable the keyboard the way the 'default' fullscreen mode in Flash Player does. Seems to also work when embedded.
I am working on this one project that has a couple of movieclips (already placed on stage) which have a custom class set to export via the Library. Each of those custom classes loads an external SWF using URLRequest().
Is it possible (or, what is the best way) to preload the whole project first, including the external SWFs?
What I've done is created a "fullscreen SWF" by using ActionScript to stretch a movie clip (yellow rectangle) in the background to fill the whole browser frame. The navigation is positioned in the upper left using ActionScript also; when the user resizes the window, positions are adjusted so the nav always stays in the upper left. (Adapting the technique from http:[url]....
External SWFs are loaded from an XML file into a blank movie clip on a layer that is between the yellow background and the navigation (adapting the kirupa XML Photo Gallery). Here's my problem: I want to be able to create full screen backgrounds for these external SWFs so when they are loaded into the main SWF they cover up all the of yellow background of the main clip. Also if the user resizes the window, I hope like the main SWF, the background on the external SWF can also resize to match.
If you press next twice to get to item three for example, I want to be able to stretch that orange box to fill the entire background. You'll notice if you resize the window on the third item, the orangle rectangle will adjust, it's just not correct.
Is there anyway to have a projector ALWAYS fullscreen, and use an flvplayback component with fullscreen button at the same time? It seems that they're somehow incompatible. If I have multiple instances of an flvplayback component on different scenes, when the projector is fullscreen, jumping to a scene with an flvplayback on it, leads to having a black screen only!
I'm not used to papervision at all but am a pretty good actionscripter. Does anyone know how to create a fullscreen application with papervision? I've tryed but when i update my viewport everything gets scaled.
i have created a project with flash cs5 and action script 3. this project is fullscreen. I open an .exe file from this project.when I open this .exe file my project quit from fullscreen mode. This project work correctly recently but i don't know why don't work now.
I have a custom form that I want to implement and I am having a problem figuring out how to do so. I want to have it work like an inner popup where it blurs and unblurs the background image (like the schedule from hbo.com).[code]...
Lets say I load a section called home.swf into the section loader. Within the home.swf I have a button for someone to call up the form.swf. Is it possible for the form to blur the random background image when loaded then unblur it when it's done?
I'm using Flash Catalyst ( Sorry im not sure if theres any difference between code written in Flash and Flash Catalyst) and I want to implement a link to an external html-page...But Im trying to open the link at a predefined window size, like a popup! I have found a code in the net but its not working.[code]...
I had to use a setter...how would I implement that into my code, On my external AS file for the coin I have the following:
package { import flash.display.MovieClip import flash.events.*;[code].... And in the main movie I made a dynamic text box gave it an instance name of "score" and in my action script I wrote:
I'm trying to implement swf address with my website that uses external swfs as the 'pages'.
[URL]
But I haven't been able to find an example file with example code that I can ferret out how to apply this to my website. I've also checked the swfaddress and while there is a link to this:[URL].Also... is it unwise to retroactively work in swfaddress to an already compiled as or should i be starting fresh, knowing that I am going to give unique urls to various buttons, that when clicked, bring up a certain 'page' or external swf?
I am doing a video library. Each category has it's own XML files that feeds it data. Everything works great. However, when I Exported the Release Build. I noticed those XML files are gone(i.e. never got exported). I don't understand why. I need the video library to be dynamic so I can add or remove videos.Anyone know why those files are not exported along with the rest of the project. Like a setting in the preference that I need to fix?
I am trying to make the project build light by removing all the unused (mxml, xml and image ) files. Currently I am manually searching for each image and then removing the unused file. But is there a way such that we can get list of unused files automatically . I was trying to use the swfDump.jar from 4.0 sdk . But that dint work as it is working with projects that are build using flex sdk 4.0. I am currently using 3.2 .
While im working on simple animation like text rolling.. in that i created external xml for menus. As im new to flash im learning it from tutorial, but its not clear. I download tweenmax rar file. i dont know how to import that file into my project.
I recently inherited a couple projects with half a dozen or more custom classes each. Is there a way to search across all .AS files in a project at once? It is a real drag to open and search each file one at a time.
I'm working on an image gallery in Flash that plays a slideshow of different images I have on my hard drive. I've got the basics of it working, but I'm still stuck on something. If my images are in the same folder as the Flash project file or a sub-folder of it, then it works fine. However, I can't figure out how to load images from some other folder. In my case, the Flash project is located at "~/Programming/Flash/Projects/slideshow/" and the images I want to load are at "~/Pictures/Gallery/". Using a normal path didn't work so I figured I could access them with a file:// path, but that doesn't work either gives me "Error #2035: URL Not Found"). Is there a specific way you have to format the file path in Flash, or is it just not possible?
My company is working on a casual game which is entirely made in Flash. To speed up development/compile time we split some of it up into SWC files, for example dialog controls, cutscenes, particle effects are all controlled via SWC files. This was working great up until a few days ago, we have been working on this project for about 8 months with no major problems. However, now all of a sudden, when we compile the game, none of the SWC files work. The game compiles and runs ok, but nothing from the SWC files are working.
The strange thing is that if we remove one of the SWC files from the folder (the game reads all the SWC files from one folder) then the game will work. Even if you remove a SWC which isnt immediately used by the game it will still work. It's almost as if there is some limit to how many SWC files you can have loaded. (There are only 10 SWC files in the folder we are loading from).
The Flash IDE is capable of embedding many types of uncompressed sound files, including wav, and offers optional compression when publishing. However, the [Embed] tag, only seems to allow embedding of mp3 files. Is it truly impossible to embed an uncompressed wav file,or am I missing some magic, undocumented mimeType?I was hoping for something like:
...but I get no transcoder registered for mimeType 'audio/wav'.It's possible to embed wav or other format as an octet-stream and parse at runtime, but that's pretty heavy handed I think. I'm surprised that even though the Flash IDE can embed uncompressed sound data,[Embed] cannot, given that the swf spec can contain uncompressed sound data.
I was wondering if there is a website from where I can download free mp3 files to use in my flex project? I am looking for some mp3 files using which I can create simple sound effects (e.g., you press a button, you hear a sound). I read flex can only play mp3 files, not wav files. Is this true? What's the best way to convert wav files to mp3?
I've got a Java/Flex project that I'm building using Maven. After doing some research I'm using the Flexmojos project [URL] for the Flex part, and almost everything seems to work fine so far (after a bit of struggling). I'm using version 4.0-alpha-5 (4.0-SNAPSHOT didn't seem to work for me).The Flex projects isn't recognized by Eclipse as Flex projects though. If I manually change the .project file and add .actionScriptProperties and .flexProperties files, Eclipse seems to recognize the projects as Flex projects.
I have a question that's so trivial and obvious that I can't beieve it hasn't been asked and answered hundreds of times. Yet, I can't find an answer. Is it possible to do a "search & replace" across all the .as class files in an application?
1) Is there a way to add swc files after the project is created
2) And is there a way to link some of assets in those swc to classes (for example link a ball asset to a class the implements its functionality. You can do that directly from flash pro CS5.5, but is there a way to do it in flash builder)
I need to make a preloader for a test project that is very diffirent and a little bit off-beat as it uses script that I have prostetuted from a variety of diffirent files, see[URL].. might take a while to load as it has no preloader and please note how it does load...), it scrolls the actual content of the site along the x axis in multiple speeds by using the following script 4 times for each layer/speed of content:
Iam trying to create a preloader for my XML files loading to my project. This tutorail is working fine. but only for one file. I need to create one preloader for all my XML files(6 XML files loading in the first frame.)
I am using CS4 with AS 3.0... I want to implement both a freeware photo flash gallery and mp3 audio player that I found into my all-Flash website. Both of these require reading from an xml file to get their content. They both come with html embedding instructions, but I don't know about actionscript.
