ActionScript 2.0 :: Script Which Will Check If A Certain Text Or Number Is In A Value
Sep 2, 2006
Is there a script which will check if a certain text or number is in a value. I am adding a ip blocker onto my flash document, so let say I want to block a user with ip of '100.200.30.4' and I want an actionscript that checks if the ip address contains 100.200, if it does, it will block the user. How do I do that?
I've tried the following code to check if a dynamic text field has a number or string in it. My problem is that after adding the new if statement (first one) it's the only one that will execute so I don't even know if it's checking whether it's a number or not.
I'm trying to do a check to see if the user inputed a number into an input text field. I'm also running a check to see if the user has left the input blank (which works just fine), but I can seem to get the NaN function working.
(using actionscript 2.0 w/ flash CS3)
Quote:
this.btn_step1next.onRelease = function() { if ( zipcode.text == "" || zipcode.text == isNaN() ) { message.text = "Please enter your ZIP code to continue."; } else {
I want to change the code a little bit by creating an Input Text. A random number will be typed in that text instead of having a fixed, pre-set number.
How can I check if the value entered in the textbox is number or not. Dont want to restrict the user to enter number by putting restrict etc. just want to validate at the end How?
Is there anyway of using AS to check if a number is either higher than a certain value, or closer to a certain value. The purpose, if the number in the text box is either higher than the other text box, or closer to say, 500, than the other one, then, it displays something in a dynamic text box.
I have a slider where I check the current value to see if it's within various number ranges. I'm basically running the same comparison over and over for 14 range sets. Is there a way to not have to hard code each one?The snippet below is hard coded 14 times with incrementing boxes[x] values. boxes[x] is a predefined array:
check if a negative number is less than another negative number. The if condition logic seems to be in order as far as i can tell but it doesent work for some reason :
Code: public function minuscheck(testnumber:int):void { if (testnumber < -1)
I would like to do a simple check when I load an XML file for the most number of characters of children nodes. In other words, if any child node contains more than 50 characters I want to to configure stage objects differently.[code]
ive got a c++ program that im writing, its a simple calculator, the way it runs is by the user entering a number then another number, then the operand..what i need to know is how to carry out a check on the two integers so that only a number can be input, if anything else is then the program returns to the "insert first integer" code.
i got a input text , how do i set some number if they input the right one?like i want (2,4,6,8,10) to be true if they input the the same number ,i want boolean to be true how i going to do this?
find the suitable regular expression to validate a string that has comma separated numbers, for e.g. '1,2,3' or '111,234234,-09', etc. Anything else should be considered invalid. for e.g. '121as23' or '123-123' is invalid. I suppose this must be possible in Flex using regular expression but I can not find the correct regular expression.
i am trying to create a timer that when it reaches to the number 10 it changes the text in a dynamic text box, i have got the timer counting but when it gets to 10 it doesnt do anything.here is my code:
Code: stop() cooltimer.text = "0"; var myTimer:Timer=new Timer(1000,0);[code]....
I'm having trouble passing a number from an input text box to a dynamic text box after a button is clicked.
In timeline I have two frames labeled: 1) inf, which starts with an input text box and a button, and 2) closing, which receives data from inf section.
INF SECTION has an input text box (age_txt) and a button (inf_bt).
var userAge:Number;age_txt.text; inf_bt.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, gotoPg1); function gotoPg1 (evt:MouseEvent): void{age_txt.text=String(userAge);// user
I need held checking if an input is empty and or isNaN. I have read forums on this and tried to apply what i learned. when i run this scrip i get nothing from the trace, not even an undefined.
PHP Code:
on (release) { if (!isNaN(ItemCost)) { var Notify_txt = "Please enter a payment amount"; trace(Notify_txt);
I have a Dynamic text field embedded into a movie clip on the same frame different layer there is some action script. A series of If statements Which is basically to see if text field contains text so if it dosent contains text I can assign text to the text box
There is no text. Yet the if statement is false. Is this a logic error or is there a better method of achieving this PS i have tried orderMenu_mc.Item2_txt.text.length == 0 which also evaluates to false when there is no text in the field.
