Aug 19, 2008I created a scene that allows the user to attach multiple instances of several movie clipsI want the user to be able to manually rotate any movie clip they wish via a button. While I understand how to create the button and write the rotation script, I am completely at a loss on how to go about writing the code that would allow the user to select the MC they want to rotate by first clicking it with their mouse and then rotating it with the button.

Apr 1, 2010I need with a menu witch has 5 buttons moving along an ellipse. When I click on a button, I need to call an "arrow" movie clip, locate it BETWEEN the button being pressed AND center stage, and make sure it's pointing toward the middle. Much like the picture below: I've spent the whole week trying to make it work but I guess I don't know enough about AS2, or geometry to succeed on my own.

Because of this reason my system is abused time to time for unlegal content . In my system we don't use live streaming ability for live events regulary. Sometimes we use live ability max 4 times in a month. And I want to learn that is there a way to stop or disable and open the live streaming mechanism whenever I want?

Jun 14, 2010I am importing a movie clip as a symbol from a SWF using Embed to a AS3 program and, after attaching the movie clip to the stage, the movie clip keeps repeating. Before you ask I have indeed creating a script layer and put a "stop()" on the last frame. In fact the swf containing the symbol works perfectly fine when executed on its own or in Flashdevelop (my choosen IDE). Its only when imported does the clip keep repeating.Here is the code:

Sep 23, 2009Does anyone know the code for finding the global positioning of X & Y co-ordinates of a click of a button which is constantly rotating, and then secondly the code for when you click on the button it displays a movie clip on top of it -(position of x & y when clicked) at the angle that you clicked it (so underneath the buttons are still rotating so other people can click them where they are)to explain the context, I'm trying to design a mock up of a circular interactive table when someone comes up to it and clicks on one of the buttons that are moving, it reads where the person clicked it and opens up a new box (movie clip) where they clicked it (at the angle) so its not upside down if you are at the topI've included my .fla file which shows the four buttons moving and a little diagramexplaining what I'm trying to do.

Dec 14, 2008I have used Flash CS3 for a while, and just upgraded to CS4...This is where i am either missing something, or just not looking in the right place.. I have a basic stage...4 graphics in the clip ( converted to graphic symbols ), each on their own layer..Each layer is using a motion tween.
What i would like to find out how to do is that when the clip gets to the end, to just stop. At the moment, when i upload the .SWF file to a webpage, its running in a loop, continuous....I used to do this in CS3 by adding a " stop() " command on the last keyframe....How do i now get the movie to stop in CS4?? I am at a lost, even after trawling the internet for hours today...

May 21, 2010I have a simple movie clip that animates some text and a divider bar. The clip loops which is normal, I want to add a stop action to stop the loop.I have three layers; text, divider_bar, and actions. On the actions layer I placed stop(); on the last frame. This stops the movie clip just fine. But if I rewind and play it again the movie clips stays on the last frame and wont restart. I'm using Action script 2 and have even tried using as 3 with out any luck.

At the moment I have created a movieclip which plays when the user clicks it, but I now want to be able to stop the movieclip if the user clicks on it again. At the moment I have the following code:
