I'm trying to follow along with a basic animation tutorial online using ActionScript. It mentions to switch to expert mode from normal mode, but says that to do this, I need to click on a blue arrow with a box around it(which I don't see anywhere)? Where would I click to switch to expert mode? Is expert mode needed to animate certain things(I'm working with a movie clip)?

Do I just use the current video or do I get a high quality version of the video to show during fullscreen mode? What would be best practice for this situation?

View 1 RepliesI've got a fullscreen button which, when clicked, works. However, after a few seconds, Flash automatically exits full-screen mode and reverts to normal mode. I'm running this in the browser. I tried stripping all the code in the fullScreen event handler down to this (I removed toggling between displayStates):

Is there any way to block the action fullscreen mode to normal mode in video. One way is blocking the esc key. But I am using that key for another purpose.

I'm trying to get to a situation in which only if both 2 things are correct then do this and if only one of them is correct, do different thing. I have a flash video player. I want to tell a button that if on press the the video is in normal screen mode then gotoAndStop(2). But if the video is in full screen and the frame on root is frame 1 then gotoAndStop 2. I've made a flash application using actionscript 3, I wanted this application size to be dynamic, To be able to embed it in any size and let it adjust itself accordingly. I managed to accomplish this, theres a problem though: The original width of the application is 700 pixels. I'm embedding the flash in a smaller size, (400 for example) going to full screen, and when I exit, the application sets itself back to being 700 pixels wide, and isn't adjusting itself to the 400px width of the actual embedding area..

So I've been working on an online coloring book, and I've got most of it working for the majority. As you can see from the attached file it is fully functional except for the reset button. Ultimately I'd like you to be able to switch between two modes, a basic click and fill mode, and one that switches to a pencil to draw on the image. When you click on reset it is to clear the drawings, and reset the fills to their original colors.
View 1 RepliesI am working on a Flash app that is 900x700 pixels. When viewed in misc. browsers at 1024x768, the browser chrome causes robs too much of the vertical space and the app appears in a window with a vertical scrollbar. Unacceptable.
The flash app will be launched via a link emailed to the viewers.
I'd like to avoid resizing the flash app and am wondering if there's a way to do the following via javascript, with no clicks involved:maximize the current browser window remove current window address bar and tabs / switch browser to full screen view (equivalent to pressing F11).
An alternative would be to resize the flash app vertically to match the browser canvas height to avoid scrolling. This may cause the app to become unreadable, so not the best approach in my case.
UPDATE: Seems that browser resizing and autoswitch to full screen won't work and neither will the flash app auto resize. What is the best approach then? And, some users may have browsers with toolbars or open a small browser window.
The only idea I have is to use javascript and display a message to users with small browser windows to pres F11 manually. The audience is executes and some may not even know what an F11 means...
i am a beginner in action script / flex framework and i am facing a problem: i would like to have like a menu bar always anchor the bottom of the screen in normal and full screen mode... i try to set my component with bottom = "1" (so it should alway be at 1 pixel from the bottom of the stage ... i am wondering from this code, it makes the stage full screen, does it also makes the content of my movieclips scaled to full screen? i have tried this code and it does not seem to do that, how can i make my content to scale to fill a stage's full screen? i have a Movieclip containing a background with a class to make special effects on the background, i am having trouble making the background be "fullscreened" nicely with the stage.

So it never comes up again when you double click a shape...I found the isolation mode get in the way when I don't even want it. It's also in adobe illustrator too

I need to play a flash website in full screen mode. That runs fine but then I have a link where we have an FLV video component. Whenever I browse to the link having the FLV video, the video goes fullscreen and fills the whole screen. I want the FLV so that it remains at the original video dimensions while I'm at Full Screen. Also I have another problem, if I let the video play in full screen, then when I press escape to get out of video it exits the full screen mode as well, how can I exit the video yet not exit full screen mode.
BTW, I've searched the internet and couldn't find any example of flash where we have flv video in full screen mode website.
I placed my audio in the timeline, but I want it streamed rather than event driven because people will be jumping around the timeline When I change the sound to Stream the audio gets incredibly choppy.

Basically I want the whole piece to become fullscreen, but because there is an flv active within the page the flv is taking over the fullscreen instead of the whole piece. View 1 RepliesI built a flash player using the flvplayback component. I have a menu that slides up when the user brings the mouse down over the bottom 130 pixels of the flvplayback component. I did this by creating a symbol that is a clear box called "trig" and using "trig.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_MOVE, slidebar);" with "slidebar" being a function that calls the tween to make the menu appear. To go into fullscreen mode i use the command "video.enterFullScreenDisplayState();" which is called by a button. Is there any way to set it so that my sliding menu will still work in fullscreen mode?
In a related question is there anyway to to have the player start in fullscreen mode? I tried using video.enterFullScreenDisplayState(); as the first line of the action script file after the import commands, but that didn't seem to work.
I'm running a standalone EXE file via the Projector (or whatever it's called when you run a standalone EXE file made with Flash). It's NOT a web-based application. Every time I go to fullscreen mode, I just get a blank screen. All of the images are gone. However, if I press Esc to exit the full screen mode, then the pictures appear again. Is this a bug with Flash CS3? This is what I put in the first frame of my movie in the 'actions' section:

When I run the Flash program (as an exe file), the program goes fullscreen, but all of the elements on the stage disappear, leaving the screen blank. However, when I exit out of fullscreen mode (by pressing ESC) then everything looks like it's supposed to, with the images showing up and everything.

I do AIR application and I am required to do so when you start it was to go full screen. But the fact is that while I have also done so that it does not go full-screen mode by pressing Esc. As I recall, at this AsctionScript 2.0 it was possible to implement. Is it possible to realize in ActionScript 3.0?
