ActionScript 2.0 :: Tracking Clicks From Xml Video Player

I'm trying to figure out how to track clicks from an xml fed video streamer. I read the article at Google about adding the event to a basic Flash button: [URL] But how do you compile the info from an external XML document? The beauty of XML is the ease of switching out content. I just don't know enough about AS to tell it to not only stream the video but also to send urchinTracker info back to my Analytics report.

I working on a flash file that contains a catalog. From the catalog a user clicks an item and is directed to an .asp page. From the .asp the user can click again to purchase the catalog item. I know there is a way to track when a person clicks the original button but is there a way to track if both clicks are made?

you look at the first banner that is displayed on our web site you will see how the banners work.We have click tags on the buttons that click thru to the dealers web site. We can easily track the performance of the click thru to the site with google analytics.I've been trying to find a way to track the other buttons that get clicked that don't send the user to the clients web site.Example: If I click on the "locate a dealer" button I'd like for there to be someway for flash to send me information saying "locate a dealer button was clicked 20 times" that way we can report to our client that they had 10,000 impressions and 20 people clicked the "locate a dealer" button.

I've been fiddling around with After Effects and Flash, exporting tracking data from the former and using it to distort a bitmap in the latter:- [URL]The test works well locally; though online I run into problems where the tracked bitmap slips from the FLV on which it sits.What binds everything together is an FLVPlaybackComponent firing CUE_POINT events, which provide the location of the four corner points used by an instance of Flash Sandy's DistortImage class.
It's not about jerky playback. It's about the bitmap remaining synchronised with the FLV, regardless of playback integrity. It's almost as though the CUE_POINT event isn't being fired when the FLV stutters (next thing to check after the weekend).
Is there anything I can do, has anyone experienced anything similar, or am I reliant on the host being able to serve the FLV at sufficient speed (out of interest, the video is currently coming from a dedicated video streaming server?

I am wondering if there's any way I can track objects in Flash video using ActionScript? For example, let's say I would like to track a red ball, how can I do this? I have seen some examples using the OpenCV port but the examples shown are for face detection. And I can't seem to figure out what's the difference between the OpenCV port and the actual OpenCV library itself. Is it a full port?

So I've created a script where a mc is clicked on and the player can draw a path using the mouse. I'm trying to figure out how I can get the mc to follow the path drawn out by the player's mouse and when the player clicks again, it erases all of the path.my code is below

I am creating a game in flash and I am trying to create a leaderboard of players names and the times that they completed the game in. This is the current code:

What I want is that when the player clicks on the View Leaderboard button, it displays a leaderboard with the top 10 or 12 performers. Their name and time (if good enough) should be displayed at the correct position on the leaderboard.This current code enters the values into the text fields after the button is clicked, however it constantly over-rides the previous score. i need something that will make all the scores display in a list and then something to sort them into order

I've been working on a mini-mouse maze in as2, placed in a movie clip called "mouse1". On frame one is the start button, and on two is the maze and finish button. So what I'm asking: is there a way to make the movieclip return to frame one when the player right clicks? I know this code, that makes it trace something but I cant use it to navigate.[code]

I have a small problem I want to mute the music when a person clicks on the video page so they dont have to manually click the speaker to shut the sound off to hear the video. As well when they leave the page I want the music to continue playing. The music does not have to start over again, I just want it to mute while on the video page.
I tried using this: SoundMixer.soundTransform = new SoundTransform(0);
But it even mutes the video sound.
And I tried this: SoundMixer.stopAll();
It does kill off the background music, but I dont know how to turn on the music again when you leave the video page.
I prefer to use: SoundMixer.soundTransform = new SoundTransform(0); as it is easier to work with and you can adjust the volume as you like.

I am using flash 8 professional.
I have a custom video player that loads videos from an external xml file. It uses all actionscript to control the video using the attatchVideo(ns).
At present the video starts playing as soon as the video opens, I would like the video to only start playing after the user clicks the play button.
What is the actionscript I need to achieve this?
* all the actionscript for all buttons etc. is on one layer called actions. Videos are external not on layers.

I have a flash page that loads a video. Under that I have a button tcalled "Audio Demos" that opens a pop up with an audio player.
The problem is that the video keeps playing, so I need some code that stops the video when the user clicks on the "Audio Demos" button.
Here's the code for the button:

I am trying to create a little website in flash.. I have some video that plays automatically once the user goes to that section (I am using frame labels to navigate from section to section of the site). I'm building a project that has a character navigate through a room by clicking on the floor. Right now, the walls, character, and floor are all children of the same display object for sorting purposes. My question: is there a way to disable mouse clicks to the walls and character while allowing clicks to the floor? Using mouseChildren appears to be an all or nothing deal and I can't seem to isolate individual floor/wall/character objects for use with mouseEnabled.

I have two mp4 video files on webserver, i wanted to play them in flash player(flv player) on my asp.net page, but i couldn't be able to play them, i also tried to play them in quick time player the same prob occured. but i waz giving the accurate path, there were no spaces in mp4 file names etc. Does it need to have mp4 player(or codec etc) installed on webserver?
I have also some wmv files on that server , and i am playing perfectly using silver light player, and media player object on my website.

I have a website [URL] when I go there if I click the video archives button then play a video then click on the home or photos button or one of the alternate background buttons on the left the video goes away as it should but not always the audio (especially when I click while the video is still buffering). Is there a command I can use to kill the sound from the flvPlayback component and nothing else(I have a mp3 player there also I so I don't want to use the SoundMatrix class. btw the videos are all played on an instance of the flvPlayback component.

I make my base swf in which I load external swf's. In my base swf I have mp3 player. Everything works fine until I need to load external Video gallery or mmedija.swf. In video gallery I have

to stop my mp3 player sounds and play video files.... But then when load some other files I want to stop playing video files and restart mp3 player.

I built a timeline based player with 2 menus and many videos that you can play.The buttons move the timeline to a frame label and the video plays. The back button has a stop function built in it so the video stops playing when its hit.It plays wonderfully locally but once on a server after a few clicks it boggs down and sometimes the audio from the last video remains playing even when prompted to stop. I was pointed to use the add and remove child functions to prevent this but being very new to Flash and 100% self taught i have zero idea on how to do this. With the Flash Player that comes with CS3 and on my PC XP Pro laptop.I want the player controls to appear at the _bottom_ of the video not on top of the video and not under (behind) the video.
- my video is 640 x 480
- so I modified the "properties" tab at the bottom of the screen to 640x480... (it was 550x400)
- but that just makes everything larger when I click File > Publish
- and then look at the video in Internet Explorer... the Player Controls are still _On Top_ of the video.
I guess I need to learn how to
- Make the stage bigger
- Position the Player controls below the actual video

I'm developing a video player for Pure IP multicast video. I'm using the Multicast Configurator provided with FMS 4 for generating the configuration. This is the manifest file generated:

That's not working. And I have several doubts about it:
1.- It's not working, and I don't know where is the error. I'm not sure what I should add as parameter in GroupSpecifier constructor? GroupSpecs from manifest file?? "com.adobe.pureIPMulticastGroup"??
2.- I've been watching the multicast.as application in FMS4. The only way of publishing multicast streams in FMS4 is using the configurarion from Multicast Config Tool? Is it possible publishing a stream without the GroupsSpec generated by the Config Tool?
3.- If It's mandatory using the config tools for managinf the pure ip multicast. I would like to integrate the Multicast Config Tool in my platform. Is there any place where I could get the code of Multicast Config Tool? Any documentation about how to build it? This component have any flashvars or callbacks that could allow me integrate it in my platform?
