ActionScript 2.0 :: Make Movieclip Return To Frame One / When Player Right Clicks?

I've been working on a mini-mouse maze in as2, placed in a movie clip called "mouse1". On frame one is the start button, and on two is the maze and finish button. So what I'm asking: is there a way to make the movieclip return to frame one when the player right clicks? I know this code, that makes it trace something but I cant use it to navigate.[code]
I have an instance of a movie clip on the stage that jumps to different labels (within the movieclip) when the large buttons at the top of the scene are in rollover state. The problem is that it stays there when the mouse leaves the button.
How do I make that symbol go back to frame one (not there) within the movie clip so that it disappears when there is no activity on the buttons?
Is there a button parameter like MOUSE_OFF (I know that's not one)?
I'm incorporating Flash for the first in my site [URL] it should a simple navigation but it has had me stuck for a while. I would like users to click any button on the stage (listed or thumbnails) and open a MC, then close the MC, using a close button , then return to Scene One, which is frame labeled "home".
I am able to successfully open and close the Movieclip but I am not directed back Scene One. When the MC closes, the thumbnail buttons are inactive.

My script have a list of .swf files and needs to play them one by one. My problem is that i can't detect when the movieclip (containing the swf) completes playing.
I understood that i need to copmare between _currentframe and _totalframes of the moviecip but i keep getting 1 as the _currentframe (my main timeline contains only 1 frame).

now how do i make the movie clip to first go from frame 1 to 10( last frame in teh movieclip) with the text time and then when the movie clip starts again it should say place and so on and so forth.. depending on how many textline variables i define in the text file?

So I've created a script where a mc is clicked on and the player can draw a path using the mouse. I'm trying to figure out how I can get the mc to follow the path drawn out by the player's mouse and when the player clicks again, it erases all of the path.my code is below
I have a opening movieclip that starts playing for my background and then I have two buttons that come up on moues over event, that if clicked on start one of my two longer Movie Clips that I have as progressive download through a flvplayer on Key frame 2 & 3. I have all that working but I want it to go back to the start or keyframe 1 when the clip is done playing so I can use the same opening menu to click on the second movie clip can some one give me any tips on how to get to go back to the start when the movie is done.
I'm trying to figure out how to track clicks from an xml fed video streamer. The beauty of XML is the ease of switching out content. I just don't know enough about AS to tell it to not only stream the video but also to send urchinTracker info back to my Analytics report.
I am creating a game in flash and I am trying to create a leaderboard of players names and the times that they completed the game in. This is the current code:

What I want is that when the player clicks on the View Leaderboard button, it displays a leaderboard with the top 10 or 12 performers. Their name and time (if good enough) should be displayed at the correct position on the leaderboard.This current code enters the values into the text fields after the button is clicked, however it constantly over-rides the previous score. i need something that will make all the scores display in a list and then something to sort them into order
I am trying to create my first semi-serious flash game. The problem I am having is I want to be able to click a button in the players inventory to equip a different armor to the player, and have that armor work in the game on the same movieclip(Player) without having to re-make all the attacks and moves etc. for each change on another movieclip. My ideas are extremely novice like putting each armor and update on a different frame inside the Player movieclip and then doing a gotoAndStop to the frame. Though that may work I don't know how to goto a frame inside a movieclip. I would like to control this using as much code as possible.I would paste my code but I don't have any code for this part of the game so far. I have tried some simple coding but so far I cannot get the pieces together.

I'm having some troubles with the use of interface and inheritance in AS3. I've done lots of OOP in the past and what I'm trying to do seems obvious to me, but doesn't work in AS3. The question is : Is it possible to override a function that return an Object of class A, and make it return an Object of Class B which extends A ? What I am trying to do is get a button to make a movieclip go to a specific frame. I have a movieclip that plays a set of frames up to the 100th frame, and then I tell it to go back to and play frame 1 again. However, at about 105, I have another set of frames that I want to play at the push of a button. How would I go about doing this?
I've created a movieclip that is supposed to begin the movie with a rotation (it's a globe) and at a specific frame it should beginning to fade out. I've inserted the folowing code to the rotation and for this action it is working perfectly Code: onClipEvent (enterFrame) { i = getProperty(this,_rotation); setProperty(this,_rotation,i + 0.5); } But, when I try to insert any other line for the _alpha, a sintaxe error occurs and the rotation doesnt works.

What I want to do is have one movieclip that has many frames and turn that into a button and then make different instances of the button and have those instances display a certain frame of the underlying movieclip.
What im trying to do is play a movie clip between frames. So say we have two menus, when you are on menu 1 and you click the button for menu 2, a short movie clip plays and then you stop on menu 2. I realise I can do this by putting the movie clip on the main scene timeline, but is there anyway i can put it on the button? I think the action script would be something along the lines of "On release play MovieClip and goto frame X" As i said i want the movie to play as an almost filmic transition between menus, with a fade up and then out (Have got that bit sussed using the alpha controls)

I have a button in frame 20. This button attached a script to go to frame 1. How do I add a script to this button or any other way so that I can know it was from frame 20 when I am in frame 1 ?
