ActionScript 2.0 :: When Click 'Bone Memory' Game It Load Up Fine

The prblem that i have is that when i click the 'Bone Memory' game it load up fine. I can play the game and the 'Play Again' button work as well.The problem occurs when i use the 'Main Menu' button. It goes to the main screen, which is fine, but the 'duplicate' cards that were created for the game appear on this main screen when they shouldn't. This in turn causes problems with playing the game when the 'Bone Memory' button is selected for the second time. The cards are all in the wrong places.I am attching the file with the code. The main screen and game were created seperatly and i have tried to combine the in the file attched.

I have built a flash game.  It seems to load fine.  I have a landing screen that clicks to the first question.  At the first question I can mouse across the answers, but it will not progress.  In addition the music does not play.  After a few minutes it does play and plays each time.  If I empty my cache file it does the same.

Memory Leak In My Shooter Game?

I'm very new to flash,and have been digging through google and this site for information on how to piece together an AS2 shooter game.Its going well enough, but I'm having slowdown issues the longer the games runs, and I was hoping someone here could point me in the right direction.To paste an enemy movie clip on the screen, i'm using this:

I need them stored in an array so that the player's shots can test weather or not they've hit any monster on the bullet's enter frame function, then call that monster's movie clip's take damage function. I'm using a for loop to do this:

I think the problem with the slowdown is that each time I place an enemy on the screen the array gets bigger and bigger. The slowdown only happens while the player is shooting, and I suspect the ever longer for loop with the hit testing is causing it.

I'm already removing the monster's movie clips as they get killed or exit the screen, I guess what I need is a way to reduce the size of the array at the same time, or at least tell the for loop not to do a hit test unless the monster is still alive.

I'm trying to create a random sequence memory game, where user has to watch over a certain sequence appears on the screen before they can input (by pushing buttons) according to the sequence appear before.I've found simon sayz code and make a modification on it.It worked flawlessly, but there is one problem with it.The code creates the sequence in this manner, e.g:

1 1 2
1 1 2 3
1 1 2 3 4
1 1 2 3 4 5
etc,..

while the game I'm intended to develop doesn't need that kind of increment logic, they just need to display 5 different element for starter and then the user should follow the sequence displayed on it.

I am trying to create a memory game, where about five or six (doesn't matter how much) different colours com up and flash for a second and disappear in a random order.

Then the user has to try to match them again buy clicking on the colours that they have infront of them in the same sequence as the lights went.

Is there a way to make this game so it will tell you when you are wrong or right, and also is it possible to make the flashing colours random each time you play it?

I am using a tiled background.inactionscript I was going to hide background objects off the screen but this cause memory to still be taken up by the hidden images so what do i do?the scrolling background isnt repeating so i could have 4-5 screens of image tiles off screen and made invisible until required.

Professional :: Can't Play Pogo's New Daily Hot Shots Game But Other Flash Games Play Fine?

I play games on Pogo and have never had a problem with their Flash Games until released Daily Hot Shots.  It doesn't load fully and I've done EVERYTHING I know to do to get it to play.  No errors show up.  I can play ALL the other flash games but this one.  When I right click, the name of the site's owners do not show up....I have the settings showing though Not all of the game loads and that's the problem.  I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling....tried a different browser and have the same exact problem.  THIS GAME WILL NOT PLAY.

This is my first attempt at a game in AS3.I'm currently experiencing a problem which I'm sure is a result of my poor understanding of programming concepts.My problem is this, every time I call the function to rebuild my level, the game progressively slows down.I've tried to clear everything, but somehow something is still causing the slow down. I'll attach a zip with all of the files, and also I will add the main code to this.The attempted clearing happens in a function called cleanup() and the level setting up in setupLevel().[code]

Cannot Load Flash On Server But Locally Fine

I'm converting a several-years-old all-Flash site for a friend. I can activate the site in any browser if all the files are stored on my local drive but when I FTP the files to a server and try to launch, I get an error indicating either that the server has timed out or that the process is taking too long. I suspect the problem is in the index.html file which refers to some very old locations where the Flash Player is probably no longer obtainable, but I'm not sure.

i've created two textarea fields that pull data from a textfile in the same directory and formats it with CSS. it tests fine on my computer, but when i upload it, it doesn't show the txt file contents. It's just blank. I've been looking around everywhere to try and find a solution, but i can't seem to find anything. Also, the scrollbar on the side of the textarea doesn't load in IE but loads in firefox.

Did a website, but at the end of it... i needed to translate everything So I simply made a duplicate translated all the text, and added a button on each that will jump between the languages. Button added to main stage. Inside button on DOWN action:

I have tried to remove all children from the stage, but then upon loading, I get an error; looks like I removed the stage,timeline etc. So I had to leave the parent.numChildren at -1 to leave the mainContainer (but clean it inside). It works, but now Firefox memory increases each time I click on the Language Change button:

what I only modified in the .fla file is the library. I created a new folder in the library and I moved all of the bitmap images into it. Also, I edited something from the preloader in the game... I saved the file, then whenever I open it, the error happens. Also, the same error happens after I have edited the properties of the image, I imported new images and saved. Whenever I open the file, the error happens. How can I avoid this from happening? Also, what are the possible effects of this error to the file? Because I cant find anything wrong with the file except for that error.

Here's the site: [URL] From feedback I've gotten, it appears that under certain circumstances the first image in a set of images does not load properly, although I haven't seen it myself. I'm told this happens only in Firefox. And I believe only Flash player 8. Works fine with FF and Flash player 9, or IE with 8 or 9 I believe.

I load a game on click of a button in level1. When I click on some other button I load another swf in level10 & unload the game in level1. When I click the game button I load it again. The problem is: when the game is loaded first time it works fine but in subsequent attempt it behaves erratically. I am using time interval functions a lot of places in the code which moves the thngs on the screen. I have an FPS monitor running and notice that I am getting choppiness here and there, bringing my game from 40 to 27 fps and back and forth at certain stages.
