View 1 RepliesI am having a problem with Flash.I get the message Movie not loaded if I right clich where the video should be.I may have set the hardware acceleration on/off by mistake, but I cannot get the Settings manager to open to check it.I am running Feroda rc14.If I go to http:[url].... and right click in to white area at the top, I get the message 'Movie not loaded' and the flash version - 10.2.159.1. This is where I should be able to open the settings window.Where does Flash store that info on my PC? How can I check it/change it without Settings manager?
View 4 RepliesI have a Flash Builder application which uses URLs within its code and I want to be able to change these URL values without having to recompile my application, i.e. I want to have a plain text file I can edit which is used to populate these URL values when the application begins. I've worked out what feels like a kludge to do this with ResourceBundles, but maybe there's a better or more straightforward way to go about this.

once a video file has been encoded into an flv is there a way to confirm the compression settings? Say if I wanted to double check that I had the right setting or duplicate setting of a flv I encoded earlier, is there a way to access this info?Like QT you can choose Movie Inspector.In QT I opened a flv file that was encoded with a Max data rate: 50kbps (I know, I know very low but it's the setting I was given). I then selected Movie Inspector thinking it could do the trick but it listed the data rate as 359.68 kbits/s.is if I encoded at a Max data rate: 50kbps how is 359.68 listed as it's data rate in QT?
View 3 RepliesI'm having a little trouble with my publish settings setup.Let's say that I have a file called MyFirstAnim.fla under the folder AnimSource.Then, I set the swf publish path to ../AnimFinal/MyFirstAnim.swf, and everything is great.Now, I need another file almost identical the first one, so I copy MyFirstAnim.fla and rename it to MySecondAnim.fla.hen I publish the file my MyFirstAnim.swf (under the folder AnimFinal) got overridden.So, I removed the swf part of the publish setting, leaving just the relative path (../AnimFinal/).
Am I smart or not?
what are the best settings to export .mov file? I have 1280x720 movie and I can export it no problem but sometimes it skips or gets stuck when I play it. I'm not sure if it's my video card or the actual file. I was using the H.264 setting and compressor quality best.

View 2 RepliesWhen using the fileReference.download method to let users download content from my server. Some users get a Security error when trying to downlaod. When studying the fileReference class it says: To avoid this situation, reclassify this SWF file as local-with-networking or trusted. But how do I do that? Do I import the security class and then set secrurity to:
Security.LOCAL_WITH_NETWORK;
If yes. Should I do that in my base class or the class that is "creating the error"? Or should I change the Local playback security to "Access network only" (I am using the cs3 flash)?
Is it possible to change the publish settings - specifically, the file path and name of the exported swf - using Actionscript? Or must they always be set in the Publish Settings dialogue box? Nothing I've seen indicates it can be done, but I thought I'd make sure.

View 1 RepliesI have edited the pageflip script and file to suit what I need to do and my issue is not related to the usual addition of pages or content etc... but is to do with publishing the file. I have increased the sizes of the page from what they are in the original file and this is where the issue lies because when I come to publish the file as an exe the content no longer seems to fit the window when published and you have to expand the viewer. The instructions for quite a lot of the pageflip is there and pretty easy to decipher however outputting/publishing the file seems to be unclear.
Can somone please point me in the right direction for resizing the stage or changing the settings so that the published file shows all the content without the need to resize the window?
I have the values load from a file, however the problem i am having is that it isnt selecting the values loaded from the file when i check on the settings. am i using the correct as2 code for it? i even tried using setValue, that is listed in the flash livedocs.

I would like to be able to specify the file name to capture the stream to. At present, the capture file is always named the same as the stream, which means if I stream for a bit, stop, then restart, the originally captured file gets overwritten. I'd like to be able to incorporate something, i.e. the stream start time, into the capture file name.

when i run it with adobe flash builder or generate a release version, it works fine. but when i use the flash file in my html file it's xml loading process doesn't work!
after some try , i realized that if the swf file be in the flash builder workspace directory, it work , else it doesn't work.
note that my OS is Microsoft Windows 7 32-bit
what is the different between the workspace directory and usual directories?

I'm trying to insert a .swf file into a flash application and use loadmovie() to do it.
However, if I try to put the cursor in one of the second .swf textbox movie, it doesn't work. The focus stays on the object that was calling it.
Also, I want this movie to be non modal so anyone can go back in forth between both application.
