Everyting works fine but if I add a textfield to the flash file and change the php file it still sends the original textfield but not the one I have created. I am using flash 8 and macromedia mx. I just copied the message textfield in flash and dublicted it. Than I gave the dublicated textfield a different instance name (second). After that I published the movie and adjusted the php file. I guess that the mistake is here. Would be cool if you could check the below listed php script and tell me what I am doing wrong. Honestly it's driving me nuts as it looks so simple but it just wont work. I marked the lines I added with red.

Apr 18, 2011I am having a problem with Flash.I get the message Movie not loaded if I right clich where the video should be.I may have set the hardware acceleration on/off by mistake, but I cannot get the Settings manager to open to check it.I am running Feroda rc14.If I go to http:[url].... and right click in to white area at the top, I get the message 'Movie not loaded' and the flash version - 10.2.159.1. This is where I should be able to open the settings window.Where does Flash store that info on my PC? How can I check it/change it without Settings manager?

May 1, 2009once a video file has been encoded into an flv is there a way to confirm the compression settings? Say if I wanted to double check that I had the right setting or duplicate setting of a flv I encoded earlier, is there a way to access this info?Like QT you can choose Movie Inspector.In QT I opened a flv file that was encoded with a Max data rate: 50kbps (I know, I know very low but it's the setting I was given). I then selected Movie Inspector thinking it could do the trick but it listed the data rate as 359.68 kbits/s.is if I encoded at a Max data rate: 50kbps how is 359.68 listed as it's data rate in QT?

Jan 27, 2011I'm having a little trouble with my publish settings setup.Let's say that I have a file called MyFirstAnim.fla under the folder AnimSource.Then, I set the swf publish path to ../AnimFinal/MyFirstAnim.swf, and everything is great.Now, I need another file almost identical the first one, so I copy MyFirstAnim.fla and rename it to MySecondAnim.fla.hen I publish the file my MyFirstAnim.swf (under the folder AnimFinal) got overridden.So, I removed the swf part of the publish setting, leaving just the relative path (../AnimFinal/).
Am I smart or not?
Multi File Preloader - File Start Loading Files But Does Not Loop?
Jan 6, 2010what I'm trying to do is make a preloader that will preload about 20 external SWF files before it lets you get to my main file. I want to do this because my main file needs the SWFs to be ready to go once its done loading. I have looked around and i found a few ways to do this with the "if (loadedBytes>=totalBytes)" and the code loops back till the files are done loading... this would be just what i need but i cant seem to get it to work. the file just seems to start loading my files but does not loop and just runs the time-line even once i state what frames i want it to loop.

When studying the fileReference class it says: To avoid this situation, reclassify this SWF file as local-with-networking or trusted. But how do I do that? Do I import the security class and then set secrurity to:
Security.LOCAL_WITH_NETWORK;
If yes. Should I do that in my base class or the class that is "creating the error"? Or should I change the Local playback security to "Access network only" (I am using the cs3 flash)?
ActionScript 1/2 :: Publishing File - Content - Resizing The Stage Or Changing The Settings
May 7, 2011I have edited the pageflip script and file to suit what I need to do and my issue is not related to the usual addition of pages or content etc... but is to do with publishing the file. I have increased the sizes of the page from what they are in the original file and this is where the issue lies because when I come to publish the file as an exe the content no longer seems to fit the window when published and you have to expand the viewer. The instructions for quite a lot of the pageflip is there and pretty easy to decipher however outputting/publishing the file seems to be unclear.
Can somone please point me in the right direction for resizing the stage or changing the settings so that the published file shows all the content without the need to resize the window?
Professional :: Change A Few Flash Settings?
Oct 19, 2011I bought a template but can figure out how to change a few flash settings .My website is done except for these few minor changes.To see what Im talking about go to the website main page here [url]....
1) There are two flash files, a menu and a header, in the menu when the page paods the buttons are white and turn orange when you scroll over them. Id simply like them orange when the page loads and then to turn white when you scroll over them. I can figure out how to get the scroll over to white but not the first part to getting the load orange.
2) In the header file there are several pics. Beside the pics there are scroll over buttons. Id like the first button, that says domestic contract, open when the page loads.

Flash :: Merge FLA Files Or Loading A Swf File On Another Swf
Aug 11, 2010I have two FLA files, call them MAP.fla and ANI.fla, that I have to merge. One way I tried was to load the ANI.swf in MAP.swf during runtime using the normal way of doing it, using Loader and URLRequest. However, when I try to run it, flash detects errors about methods I have included in ANI.swf.
I do know that the Loader and URLRequest method of doing it works because I tried using it with a different SWF file with simpler content.
P.S. ANI.swf contains methods, instances with classes of their own and timer events. If Loader cannot work on my SWF, is there any other way of carefully doing this without affecing my FLAs?

Aug 27, 2010Is it possible to embed the flv file in to the flash like other files(images, swf), so that i can handle this in as3 as programmaticaly in the same way as FLVPlayback component? I know the way to add flv file by creating FLVPlayback component. But in this case we always need to depend on the source path of corresponding file. I am not able to find any kind of solution for this. As second way I have imported flv file to the library and created the instance of this but there is some problem with the synchronization of audio with video. Also in this case I am not able to handle this flv in as3 as programmatically.

Jan 30, 2012I'm working on a Flash project that deals with multiple files. There is a main file that loads in individual SWF files as they click on different buttons. The course has dynamic text Fields that are populated via XML. So right now, my idea is to give each page it's own XML file? Would this be better suited to have one single XML file for all the pages, and the container file or multiple files?
Also, this is going to be a multilingual project. EDIT: The XML files will just be storing text information to populate the text fields, and some links to load in images. Also, the loaded SWFs will never be accessed without the use of the main "container" SWF.
