How do I get to this "settings manager"? I'm using Windows 7 Professional.
I'm trying to do this effect with my website allowing me to shuffle through different websites, can anyone point me in the direction to a tutorial that breaks this down or can anyone try to explain it I'm very new to flash and only know the basics.

I am having a problem with Flash.I get the message Movie not loaded if I right clich where the video should be.I may have set the hardware acceleration on/off by mistake, but I cannot get the Settings manager to open to check it.I am running Feroda rc14.If I go to http:[url].... and right click in to white area at the top, I get the message 'Movie not loaded' and the flash version - 10.2.159.1. This is where I should be able to open the settings window.Where does Flash store that info on my PC? How can I check it/change it without Settings manager?
View 4 RepliesSetup: an online tv channel with "youtube" like clips and categories our own flash video player which can be embeded into other remote sites as2 flash player Goal: To track who's embeding my videos, at least with basic statistics per domain.
Since it's AS2, it's harder to do this. My ideea is that I can create a php page which should be opened each time the player loads on any website; than the flash player can do a "geturl" of the php file which has Google Analytics code or some other decent tracker.
The geturl command could contain a variable like the Video Title which already is included in the player; and this title would pass on with GET to the php file and setup a dynamic page title which can be tracked very well. Problem: how to i use the GETURL function without have user's browser open a new tab or window. Is there any hidden way to do it?
I'm pretty new to Action script and I have a problem here that I can't seem to figure out.
I have this Action Script Code which is attached to a simple movieclip, and it all works IF the general settings are set for Flash Player 6.
It does not work for Flash Player 7 or above, which is probably because this is Actions Script 1 Code...

I am making flash CS4-based music player with ActionScript 3. When I host the player on my site, e.g. [URL], and play an mp3 on the server of my site, e.g.[URL], it works well.
When I link to an mp3 of another site, e.g. [URL], in my local machine, it also works. However, when I host the music player in my site [URL], and play an mp3 of [URL], then it can't be played.

So I was wondering if there was a way to create a video player or edit some open source video player with the functionality that users can add comments straight from the video player. So if you're trying to picture it, it would be something like this: the tool bar at the botom would have the usual seek bar, volume control, play/pause buttons etc, and now an additional button that when clicked would trasform the tool bar into a text box which can be used to enter comments while watching videos. The comments would then be entered below the video.

Whatever I do in Publish Setting, Flash software always returns option to be Flash Player 11, I don't get this. I choose Flash Player 8 and AS 2.0 and re-open Publish Settings it is again back on Flash Player 11 and AS 3.0.

View 1 RepliesI am on mac and haven't upgraded my OS from 10.5 to 10.6 so when I upload a file creted in Flash CS5 it won't play because it needs the Latest flash player which uses 10.6 OS.So what I'm getting to is that can I go into "publish" settings and change the Flash player from 10.2 to an older version and then will this work.Also, which version should I change it to? For example sould I select Flash Player 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 10.1?

However, the same script in another file that I have doesn't work! There's no alert and no refresh. I tried setting allowscriptaccess to always and that didn't work. I tried changing the publish settings to Flash Player 10, that didn't work.
I bought a template but can figure out how to change a few flash settings .My website is done except for these few minor changes.To see what Im talking about go to the website main page here [url]....
1) There are two flash files, a menu and a header, in the menu when the page paods the buttons are white and turn orange when you scroll over them. Id simply like them orange when the page loads and then to turn white when you scroll over them. I can figure out how to get the scroll over to white but not the first part to getting the load orange.
2) In the header file there are several pics. Beside the pics there are scroll over buttons. Id like the first button, that says domestic contract, open when the page loads.
I use a laptop which is never connected to the web for customer demos away from base. It does not have the Flash authoring environment installed either. Furthermore, a customer's own system used to run development versions of web sites using HTML with Flash content is not guaranteed to have web access either. Because some of the associated FLV files are quite large, uploading to a web host for such testing is not really viable even where clients have web access at meetings.
I have an AS3-based project which triggers Flash 10 local security protection on systems other those that used for authoring, for which the workaround is to set the source folder as trusted using the Flash Player Settings Manager. but [URL] doesn't seem to offer a useful way to avoid this problem without going on line to the Flash Player Settings Manager via an Adobe web site.

I've put together this interactive swf file which contains this code

however, the Adobe Flash Player Settings box keeps appearing when I export the file to view the movie. When you try closing it however the movie doesn't react to sound. I've tried taking out pieces of code to see which is calling the box up but it wither stays up or the movie doesn't function properly.
I am unable to click on "Allow" button in my Adobe Flash Player Settings panel that pop's up because half of it is hidden behind divs making it "unclickable".I tried setting negative z-indices on the divs that are overlaying it and I also tried giving a prositive z-index to the div holding the Flash Player Settings panel

What I'm looking for is to see if there is a way to only have to change (1) XML to reference both sites. View 1 RepliesI need my flash movie to have access to the microphone, but it is refusing to display the confirmation dialog and the "Settings" context menu item is disabled. The document size is adequate to display the dialog, though. The catch, though, this is only occurring when the SWF is run in the local player. If I run the SWF in a browser, it asks properly and the settings menu is available.

I was going through the Flash Downunder tutorials, and creating an interactive player with slider bars to change the 3D X and Y rotation.[code]I get no compile errors (using ActionScript 3.0, BTW) But when testing out the video with Flash PLayer 10 In the publishing settings, the video shows up blank. I thought it may be an issue with windows, but when trying the SWF on a WinXP machine, the same issue occurs.I tried using Flash player 9 in publish settings, and the video plays, but I need to use player 10 to use 3d rotation settings.I'm not sure if this is just a bug with Player 10, or if I'm doing something wrong.
View 11 Replieshow can I change my rulers' zero points on the stage? In Photoshop I just drag new points from the top left corner, but that doesn't seem to work in Flash. This is very useful for me, e.g., setting "0" at the center of the stage, or quickly measuring some space.

I made a 'whiteboard' app. Originally it was for Flash Player 7 then I changed the Publish Settings to point to Flash Player 8. Worked fine for me, but caused problems with my customer, so I changed Publish Settings back to Player 7. When the customer opened up the .swf which I'd emailed him, it opened in Flash Player 6, even though he had the latest player installed. When he deleted the old V6 player the problem was fixed. So my question is, why did my .swf open Flash Player 6 - and therefore lose some of it's functionality - when the customer had a later player installed?

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to change a Flash animation into a Quicktime movie to post to YouTube, which I've done with a much smaller file, but have had trouble with a larger 2.6M file. When testing Flash movie I get dialog box saying- Content will not stream... Change Runtime Shared Library Library > Advanced ActionScript 3.0 in Publish Settings. So I enter Publish Settings, on Formats I leave Flash and HTML checked. Select center tab for Flash, click on settings for ActionScript 3.0 in scripting box. In Advanced ActionScript Settings dialog at the bottom I've tried changing the Runtime Shared Library drop down to the Merged into Code option but it didn't help. The other option is the Preloader Method, where I think the problem is, but when it is changed form Preloader SWF to custom the Preloader SWF box at the very bottom empties and when the movie is published I get a warning of no Librarys linked and when movie is played int the Quicktime player some of the animations fragment and leave the fragment as remnants.
