Flex :: Switch From HTTP To HTTPS In Application?
Dec 21, 2009I am building a FLEX web application that also has a payment module where the user needs to enter his credit card details.
The whole Flex application runs on HTTP. However, whenever the user lands on a page where we ask for credit card details, we want these details to be sent over HTTPS.In this page we need information from the model of the application, because it holds certain selection the user did, the state the application is in, etc.
Do I need to make this page a Module that runs on HTTPS?
Or can I just configure the specific 'credit card' services (we have a JAVA back end) so that these run on HTTPS?

If I access the page from the server, everything works.[URL]..But when I access it trough the facebook app [URL]..I get the following error:

Mar 11, 2011I have a Flex and Java application and i am using BlazeDS between flex and java. Generally my application works fine. Sep 12, 2011In my Flex 4.5 application I have a TitleWindow Settings.mxml, which is popped up by the PopUpManager.Once the user has changed some settings, I not only need to save them to a SharedObject, but also to apply them to the main Application itself - so that the changes are visible to the user immediately.For example I need to call its method hideApp(somevalue);
The spark.components.Application does not seem to have any static/singleton methods to get ahold of it.So how do you do it? how to declare, that an MXML file implements one or several interfaces?

May 6, 2007whenever I try to call the removeMovieClip function in a callback handler, it just doesn't work! Maybe I'm tired, or I've just missed something this is apparantly obvious. In my code exert below, is just a simple script that attaches a movie clip to stage (square_mc) and creates a duplicate instance. When the component button is clicked, I want the original movie clip to be deleted, but nothing happens!

Jan 19, 2012I have a flex mobile application that I am working on that I am having issues with selecting an image from roll/taking a picture. My application is not tabbed, however one part of it contains a Tabbed View Navigator with tabs across the bottom. Within one of those tabs, I have the ability to upload an image to a webservice that I have created. However, when I select an image or take the picture, it pops back out to the initial splash screen and the application restarts. If I use the component standalone (outside of the tabbed view navigator) it selects the image and uploads without any problem.

Adobe Flash Builder Http Data Service Call Fails Only After Export?
Dec 8, 2011I wrote an app using adobe flash builder that makes an http data service call to a website.
When I build and launch the app it loads in my browser (the address in the broswer is C:Userspath omyapp.html) and works perfectly. However, when I upload the app to my website or even launch it from outside the project build directory, the HTTP service call fails with the popup

Of course I googled this error and realized it may have something to do with a 'crossdomain.xml' in my web root directory. I tried this and it continued to fail.

Jun 23, 2009My embedded images show up in the Flex Builder Design Preview, but are not displayed when the application is run. The images have relative paths (/assets/images/...), and the application is run on the server (wamp). I've appended the path to the compiled location [URL] and tried to display a image in the browser, and the image exists, too. I've compiled it via FlashDevelop, Flex Builder, and Ant. I've deleted and remade the bin/bin-debug/release/bin-release files to no avail.
