ActionScript 3.0 :: Camera Access Dialog And Made My Cam Instance To Null
Jul 13, 2011
i had clicked denied button of the Camera Access Dialog and made my cam instance to null Is it possible to bring back the Camera Acees dialog box again
From a Flash object, I would like to be able to detect the presence of a webcam that the user might grant access to, without actually asking the user whether they want to grant access. This is to streamline a large application that has extra features if a webcam exists — if there is a webcam, the application will present several dialogs that lead up to the normal cam-security prompt, but if the user doesn't have the hardware, I want to skip over them altogether. Requesting access to the cam before those dialogs won't make sense to the user.
It appears not to be possible to call Camera.getCamera() without the security prompt happening. Is there a workaround? (For instance, could I, perhaps, call getCamera in a hidden Flash object and inspect its return value, or does it block until the user acknowledges the security prompt?)
Often, but not always, the first few clicks on the "Allow" button on the Flash camera permissions dialog are ignored. This is very frustrating for users. And for me, when I'm testing code! I'm afraid I don't really know what else to say about the problem to give more insight. My hunch is that it has something to do with getting focus on the embed element, but that is merely a guess.
Usually Adobe Flash applications can access any usb-webcam.I have a USB camera for microscopes which understands TWAIN and DirectShow. Is there a possibility to access the video data from this camera with flash?
I drew a rectangle and then converted it to button. In the mentioned button I added a movieclip that it contains a text, because I used an animation on movieclip. Now I need to change inner text via loading a XML file to it. I loaded text from XML file but i can't access to the text in the button.
if you have tried it you know that it is not working. The main thing is that on Android 2.2 the camera allowance dialog is not being displayed when you try to access it from the web browser. I've found something called PhoneGap, but it is not working on the android 2.2, or at least some parts of it is not working. Has anyone any clues how to access the camera from the web browser on Android 2.2?
I'm using the following code to arrange indexes of objects on the stage the only problem is I can't access an Object that has been made in a class in an external AS document. if i go into the document and trace I can see it but i can't access it from the document class and arrange its index anybody have any ideas?
I am developing an application running in Flash Player. The applicatiosn requestes access to the camera and/or microphone available on user computer. Is there a way in the application I prevent users from seeing this question? i.e. without having user to change his/her Adobe Flash Player setting?
I want to publish camera over FMS. But I don't want to use adobe security panel to be displayed(not even once) with setting as "access" by default.I wan't to set it allowed programatically.
I am working on HD video recording project and I just want to use Canon T3 digital camera in my project and i am not able to access other camera but not Canon T3 so,
I have a service that uses computer webcam via Flash. Now I'd like to develop an Android optimized version of the service using HTML5 + Flash and then use some HTML5 wrapper to get an app.
I wonder if it's possible to use the same ability of Flash that provides an access to user's phone camera (frontal) on the Android (tablet pcs, smart phones). I know Android supports Flash since 2.2, but I failed to find any information on hardware access.
I was just doing a menu system for a game project, as3 with Flash CS5. The navigation is build on the frame on the main timeline. When I was creating stuffs on the 3rd frame, the btns on the frame can not be called, returning "null", this is weird. With further study, I found that, if I delete a instance on frame 2, the problem on frame 3 will be solved. Then I found that giving the instance on frame 2 a name could also make things normal. What is happening? Why having a unnamed instanced on the previous frame could make the instances on the next frame "null"?
Anyone let me know wether if pixel calculations are made swf files and when they r made to fullscreen wether they will remain the same in any monitor size?
For some reason, no matter what I try, a stage instance named 'track' remains null to the frame it's on. I've made sure that Auto-declare stage instances is checked. Is anyone familiar with this problem?
I have to admit I pretty much ran away from Flash when AS2 came along and only used it for animation purposes over the last 5 years. So I'm having a major crash course in AS3 in Flash CS3 and I'm not enjoying it one bit. I'm getting maybe 10mins of finished work per hour as I try to figure out the limits and rules of AS3. Quite often it seems that AS3 simply can't do what I want it to. Anyway: Characterchecks.as is the main class and it loads a bunch of XML into four arrays. The file starts like this:[code]If I trace the value of, say, cc._Categories from the main FLA, it's empty. I'm guessing that the next line of AS in the main FLA doesn't wait for the previously called function to complete? (This may tie in to my next problem)My next step is that I want to display various things based on the data in the array. I have another class, Display.as which will hold all the functions to create the items on display. I thought it would be best for these to be a separate object. I wonder if I'm right?
So I declare an instance of Characterchecks in the main FLA and call it cc, and then run the functions to populate the arrays... Now I create an instance of Display and call it cd. How can I get functions in cd to see the values of the variables in cc? And if the main timeline can't tell that the functions aren't finished filling the arrays, how is cd supposed to know?I might be asking dumb questions, or maybe I'm doing things ***-backwards, I don't know. I'd appreciate any help, I really would. This whole thing has me at the end of my tether... being the most technically advanced person in my circle of co-workers and web design friends means I have no-one to explain why things need to be done a certain way or what the best way is.
I am capturing camera on flex for android using air 3.1,and found that the camera is only showing the a part of of actual camera video. When i view camera using normal camera application in android galaxy tab, it shows full camera area but when i am capturing the camera in flex its showing only the center area for it.I tried using setMode to set the resolution, but its not of any use.Is there any way to get full camera area captured inside flex using camera.getCamera ?
I have a video capture device on a machine. I have written a windows application to capture the video from this device. While capturing, if i try to broadcast using flash it does not connect. If i'm already broadcasting and then try to capture then my windows application does not get the capture pin of the device. So, flash seems to be taking the capture pin. Is there anyway to broadcast using the preview pin on the device so that i can capture using my application. Or is there way where i can split the capture pin and give one to my app and one to the broadcaster
Getting: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at CatProcess()
Don't know why. When I run it, it's the userName_iBox that isn't being added to the stage so it must be to do with that but I can't see whats wrong with it.[code]...
I have a working MP3 player I did last year and I am re doing one using classes. So i am coping and pasting code, changing what needs changed and I can not figure out why it works on the other one, but not here.I am getting the error: Cannot access a null reference.. so its not finding something. I traced out what I have and found out that its not getting passed the function playSong(). When the play button is pressed, it fires off playSong(); From there, it SHOULD fire off soundCompleteHandler(); Its not making it to the soundCompleteHandler();[code]
I've created an button object in flash. The button contains 2 layers. One is the background image and on top of it is a textField. The textfield is dynamic. I use the button inside a movieclip and I export it in a SWC. The I'm trying to use it in flex.
I'm trying to do this:
var myComponent:MyComponent = new MyComponent(); myComponent.button01.theTextField.text = "Caption";
I get and instance of the button(myComponent.button01 is not null in Flex debugger), but the instance of the textField(myComponent.button01.theTextField) is null and I'm not able to change the text(but the default text appears onscreen). The code is compiled correctly in flex.
I exported the in swc the button control as well. So the button is not the default SimpleButton from Flash, but an derived class generated by flash(with the same name as the symbol defined in flash). It contains theTextField memeber, which is null.
Here is the button timeline(Layer 2 contains the textfield, and the textfield instance is named theTextField):
[code]Is my code and when adding the backtostart function i always get the error if i remove the back and backtostart parts of the code it runs fine any help?
