Is there any object or a some as3 code that allows me to change the webpage title, basically I am loading various SWF's via xml, naturally with each swf I would like to change the page title.
View 2 RepliesI have a website that I have to alter the <title> tag that shows up in the browser as the sites name through using Flash as3 and xml. I was wondering how to access the <title> tag so that I can create a variable in flash, that retrieves whatever string is within the <title> tag of the current xml document that is being accessed? All pages need to have the same title, so it doesn't need to be too complicated, I just need to be able to alter the tag through xml and as3.

So i would like to set the buttons action to send a javascript variable or something like that. This way the html content, above the flash could change with a javascript include which would use this variable to know what page should be included... something like that. I don't know how to do this (flash to javascript and the use the variable to include a page content)

View 2 RepliesI'm trying to edit a Flash file, that get it's data from and XML file.Now when you click on one of the menu items, the page + page title should change, but somehow the page title remains the same. (at least for the first 3 menu items) But when you go to the last menu item and then back to one of the first 3 menu items, the correct page title is shown.I'm no flash / AS expert, so I can't really find out what the problem is, but it seems like it has something to do with this function

I want to take one of the existing buttons (which are set as movie clips) and modify it to show a different menu name and page link. BUT when I go into my library and "duplicate" my movie clip, change the instance name, drag it to the stage and attempt to modify it, the original changes as well. I need to keep the original the same and create a new one with the same code, frames, etc but with different static text. I keep going in circles

how to go about customizing the title bar of a swf or exe published out of Flash. Instead of it saying "Macromedia Player 6" I would like to have my own icon and the title bar read "My Movie"? I have seen it done but can't seem to find anything in the help files of MX on how to do this.

to save me from going insane (well even more insane) ive created a title as a movie clip and got a tween that changes its alpha from 0% to 100%. the only problem is the title animation keeps looping and i only want this to happen once! ive tried stop(); however this just stops the animation.

When I try to load in my xml attributes it loads in all the attribures for that node not just the Title Or Description. How do I get it to just load the Title.

I tried use external call and javascript, but it always shows, that Adobe Flash Player stopped, because of security. Same with getURL. I am trying to implement website into my .NET application, so It's unacceptable to have these errors.
I would like to know, how to change title via ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0.

I have a panel component on my flex application. This component has a click event which is fired when the used makes click on the panel. But I would like to know the zone of the panel where click was made. In fact what I want to know is if click was made on the title bar of the panel.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to implement a collapsible TitleWindow popup by adding a handle to the top right corner of a Panel control. Unfortunately, the image that I add as the handle doesn't show up when the control is drawn. I can trigger a redraw by changing the source of the image, so apparently it's there, but it's somehow hidden. I am adding a tab navigator to a title window here. Once the title window is closed, it can be reopened using the button.But on opening the title window second time in this manner ,the content of the children of the Tab navigator(here, a label) is not visible.
