If i click to any Read More link the text opened in a new window is still available for copying What should i do to to DISABLE text copying in a flash website fully ?
i need to disable all buttons on my website (flash) at a certain time. At the moment i no that
button.enabled = false
will disable the button...I need to do this with about 10 buttons. Is there a way to disable ALL buttons in a more convenient way?I thought of looping i, button1, button2, button3..But my buttons are not named like this, and would not be suitable to do so!
I want to copy some text to edit in the same style and size etc, however when I do change the wording, it changes the original too. How can I do this so only the copy changes when editing?

View 7 RepliesI am working on my first Flash website for my photography, and along with placing watermarks on my images, I want to disable the users ability to "Right Click", and other saving options.
(By the way, I do not know if this matters but I am using "Adobe Flash CS5", on a Mac, running the most up-to-date version of "Snow Leopard". Also, I assume in-order to disable "Right Click" and other saving/downloading features I would have to enter some code; Can you either post the code, or put the website where I can get it?)

The text will be visible through a swf object and that is locked for selection or copy. it will read the text by HTTP request from a page url in server. Server will send encoded text, which will be decoded by action script. Is it possible to copy any copy protected text from inside a flash object. Because this text are not visible from the page source. Further as the text is encrypted only the action script can decode it. I am not able to make the action script ready to talk to browser and send some http request.
View 2 RepliesIs there a code in actionscript 2.0 for flash cs4 to disable left-clicking in IE on a flash swf embedded in an html page...the movie does not contain any buttons, but calls an xml file which contains path to images to be displayed. I tried using another swf file to call the original one (since original one I have only the swf available to use, no fla) but although it works fine in firefox, in IE it still allows users to click on the flash, and also changes to hand-cursor, while should have been the default cursor in use by windows, and no clicking (except right-click)... code is as follows:

I have an input textfield and some keys listeners on the stage. When typing in the input textfield the key listeners of the stage and loaded swfs get triggered. I've tried different things with focus and stopPropagation but nothing's been working, at least the ways I've been implementing it.So my question is, "How can I make it so that when I am typing into the input textfield, none of the keylisteners get triggered?"

in a way its similar to what you do within a browser search or pdf search where after typing your search term they highlight all occurrences of this search term within the webpage / pdf document

But that's not what I want. I don't want to manage a bunch of children when I know I only have one child but just want to change its content.
Is there a way to copy/assign a Loader directly? I tried assigning to 'content' but that's read-only. Basically I have an array of Loader objects that all get loaded with images. I then have a single Loader that's on the stage and I want to assign to it images (Loaders) from my array.
i'm trying to edit the text of a Flash project/website. The flash project structure is as follows:
- Main.fla
-- Section1.fla
-- Section2.fla
-- Section3.fla
-- Section4.fla
The Section3.fla file contains the text I need to edit. I notice that the text is visible inside the library:
"/Sprites/sprite 11" file
and
"/Text/text" 10 file
But when I try to edit the text 10 file I get the message: "This symbol is imported from a Shared Library. If you edit this symbol, it will no longer be imported. Do you want to continue?".
If I click Yes and edit the text and replace the Section3.swf with the new one, the website still shows the old text.
I've done my fair bit of HTML coding and work fairly well with CSS but i've never ever done a mouseover in flash.. Now, the website's text, all of it, is simply located on a text.txt file that the flash file reads and incorporates onto the website.. All text and images come from this text file. This is what I want to do.
Click on Enter site, then when it loads, click on the "Selling" tab at the top of the site. On the "My Listings" section is where I want to have the mouseover text and the "Market Analytics" section (which we'll be renaming) is where we'd like the image to actually appear. My question to you is can this be done within this environment and how so?

I wondered if anyone knew a workaround or trick that I could use to get text into google. I have a couple ideas but they're just ideas.
I would like to create an alternate page that is not flash, but a regular html page with all of the text I want google to read inside it. Somehow I use code to tell it that when a user clicks on the link, to redirect them to the flash webpage, but when a search engine sees it, to send the search engine/google to that regular html page, where it will gather all of the text and then that text will show up on google's page when you do a search and my site on google? Even if this was possible, would google frown upon this and ban me or something?
The other idea I have is to use invisible text at the bottom of my page. This will be regular html text that is the same color as my background. But I heard this can get you banned from search engines like google if you are using lots of keywords, but I wouldn't be using keywords. I'd be using the few sentences of content that their stupid crappy technology doesn't read, forcing me to bust my hump trying to find a workaround for. It sucks that google doesn't even use keywords in my metadata for rankings either. So I can't even use that with them.

I have created a small flash application. There are swf files, folders with xml files and the base exe file.The application has been burned onto a CD and will be replicated. The client is concerned that someone can take the CD, copy the files to a harddrive and then duplicate the CD themselves, possibly selling it.How can a CD, with flash content be replicated and not allow files to be copied
View 1 RepliesI am having a problem which I I'm pretty sure (hope), there should be an easy answer to. I want to take frames out of a movie clip in a Flash file and paste them on the main timeline. The problem I am having is Flash is pasting them back on the stage in a different spot than where they were when I copied them. This is totally messing up my tweens! Is there a way I can get Flash to paste them in the exact position as they were in when copied?

It has many keyframes. I tried pasting in the frames, but it appears off stage. I need to move it upwards. Do I have to move the elements at each individual keyframe, or is there a way of moving it universally at one go?

View 6 RepliesI have been trying to copy a movie clip from the library of one flash and paste it into the library of another. But when I do this, it always gives me, "One or more library items already exist in the document.
I have tried finding and renaming those items, renaming the existing movie clip, and even changing it into a graphic instead. Still it always replaces these certain movie clips in my main flash file.
I even tried the following: Creating a new movie clip in the new file. Then going into the movie clip of the other file I wish to copy over, and trying to copy its frames and put it into the new movie clip i created in the main file. Even then, it says I'm replacing library items!
I am having problems copying directories of movieclips from one flash file to another. They appear to be fine until I save it, then when they are reloaded they are missing a parent movie clip, and all of the children are blank.
