ActionScript 3.0 :: Flash AddChild On ENTER_FRAME Not Working

I can't get my MC onto the stage. All I'm trying to do right now is just get the bloody thing to show up.
Here's my code. I'm not getting any errors, but my mc is not coming up. I have it set to export for Flash.

I am designing a game in which there are three doors on stage. The doors are each instances of the same symbol. The instances are named "door1","door2" and "door3". The symbol contains three frames-"color1","color2" and "color3"- each frame is a the same door in a different color.
I want the game to randomly select a color for each door at the start of the game. I have been trying to use variations of the following code:

I have gotten the AR tutorials from [url]....and are having fun with the flarsquidderkit for multiple pattern detection.However I would like to have a start page, and a high score page for the game based on this, and have tough time figuring how to make the timeline code works for this.
flarsquidderkit have extended papervision3d and has its own 3DdisplayObject, and the flash's MovieClip addChild() is not working.how to extend the movieClip class when my document class has already extended another super class,and also if I can control the score via timeline instead of dumping every single thing in to the document class?

I am trying to use the ENTER_FRAME event with a number of dynamically created movieclips and it is not working.The swf features a series of five clock faces that the user will select by hitting the appropriate button. Each clock has five unique movieclips to that season including a second hand, a minute hand, a main character, a seasonal clock face and a back ground, again, each of these MovieClips are different on each of the five clocks. So I have a series of five listeners for each of the buttons:
spring_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, startSpring, false, 0, true);
winter_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, startWinter, false, 0, true);
...
then the associated functions to the mouse event looks like this.

I want to create a class named Principal which will be imported to the stage. This class Principal imports another class named Menu. And the application should do the same for any other 'division' of the website (content, footer etc).If i use the addChild in the Principal class, it works well. If i do the same in Menu, doesnt work. I cant 'return the box' to the Principal class and append the child there, but this will crack all the stuff.Now, the code:

I just wanna add an image from my library on the stage and have an event listener on it so when i click on it, it will do something. imgFromMyLib is already set to the image i want from my library.

Full Browser not working with addChild
I'm working on a full browser site - it has 3 MovieClips, header_mc, body_mc and footer_mc.
When the browser resizes, the header and footer stay the same height and the body height changes.
It's all working fine when I have the MovieClips on the stage and named.

I usually, use SWF Protection, to protect my swf's from decompiling. It also adds a load bar to the swf.
The problem is that I have codes like this:
logo= new marca();
parent.addChild(logo);
logo.mouseEnabled=false;
I use parent, because I need to put the movie clip above everything, because my application allows the user to add a lot of things to the stage, so a don't want anything covering the logo.
The application works well while unprotected, but If I protect it using SWF Protection, then, I get just white screen. Nothing appears after loading.
Is there another way, to put a movieclip above everything, without being necessery to add a ON ENTER FRAME LISTENER, to update the movieclip deph, to keep it above everything?

What I describe here is not correct. My full code had some other things in it that was the reason I couln't see mc2. The code described under is actually working!
I have custom class (MyContainer) that extends Sprite. Then:

it works, but I dont want that, as MyContainer has custom variables and functions I use. A simple: if (mycon is DisplayObjectContainer) evaluates to true.

I am trying to save memory and space. So instead of using the Timer for my application, I was thinking about using my main loop (ENTER_FRAME) to keep track of time that passes. Is there anything wrong about this ??

I have a little problem while trying to get a URL on a Enter_Frame event using Flash AS3.I would like to trigger the URL request on the last frame of the movieclip.Everything works fine except that instead of getting the URL once, it keeps loading it all the time.
Result: I get hundreds of web pages opening in my browser.
Here is the code I use:

I want to create an endless loop, 8 items moving in a circular shape. When you roll over of each item, it will stop the moving, and you should be able to click it.
I dont know what should I use, should I use Event.ENTER_FRAME or the circular shape should be in movie clip, so that when there is a mouse over event, it will stop moving?
Oh ya, I code everything in AS3, including the movement, objects etc. Something like a new class

Its been a long time since i've posted on this forum. I've always just browsed, but never had enough experience to post and answer questions.I am doing a small project for uni, and im a little stuck with some (probably simple) AS3.
To set the scene.... I have a scene, funnily enough, with 5 frames (and several layers). I have navigation buttons back---home---forward, which do not change over the length of the scene.In each frame (2-5) i have an embedded flv in a movieClip. The idea was to have a listener on the back and forward buttons, when clicked they do either nextFrame(); or prevFrame();.
However, to stop the 5 frames playing (and looping) i put in an action listener for ENTER_FRAME on the first frame (see below).My problem appears to be the time it takes for the ENTER_FRAME to fire. The timeline plays straight away, and is already on frame 2 before the enter_frame actually stops it. Can anyone suggest a reason why there is such a delay in the firing of the enter_frame event, and is there a way to solve it without putting in a gotoAndPlay(1); instead of the stop();??
Also, the forward button works, but the back button never appears to be created. Not quite sure why, as its exactly the same code, with just the names changed, and the instance names as well.

I am a newbie in ActionScript 3.0. I want to make flash application that will zoom in object when on mouse over and write same text on the screen and zoom out object a clear text when the mouse is roll out.I have a probelm, when I roll over the object it zoom in the text appers and when I roll out the object returns to the default position. But when I roll over then I rool out and roll over again (not wait until zooming out is completed) the addEventListener does not stop and text is mixed (part pf the text is from first zooming in a nd part of the text ist from second zooming in)

I'm trying to have a class file which can add objects to the stage via addChild; however, when I call addChild from within the class file, I get the error "1180: Call to a possibly undefined method addChild." I've tried importing flash.display.* and that doesn't fix the problem. Does the class file have to extend Sprite or MovieClip to be able to add objects to the stage?

I'm trying to resolve an issue that reared it's ugly head yesterday.Frame one of main timeline I have the following code:

The newMC doesn't show up.If I add 'parent.' in front of the addChild then it appears.mc_LibItem has a base class of "flash.display.MovieClip" and is exporting for ActionScript and on frame one.For grins I created a new .fla and began messing around with the same addChild idea and it worked.

I have a main "shell" swf which, by clicking several buttons, will load/unload various external swfs into a Placeholder_mc which resides on the main timeline in Shell.swf In the documentation and tutorials I've seen a couple different methods, and I'm not sure I quite understand the difference, or at least the reason you would use one over the other...In the 1st method, you can just add the Loader object using the addChild() method:

myLoader.load(myURLRequest);
Placeholder_mc.addChild(myLoader);
This will apparently add myLoader to the display list once it has completely loaded.The 2nd method, you supposedly can add the Loader.content; however, it appears you can only do this once the content has completed loading, so you need to incorporate an event handler with the contentLoaderInfo object:

I have a one-frame .fla with script on one layer and a movie clip on another. The movie clip has an instance name of "titleBar," which moves from left to right using dynamic tweening.The tween code moves it from an X position of 200 to a X position of 820.Then I have a function called "xChange," which waits for titleBar's X value to be 820. Once it does, I'd eventually want to load an external swf but I'm just running a trace for now.Again, Here's the code.
