View 1 RepliesI made a trivia game app that lets me enter text into input fields when the app is fullscreen on my trivia laptop. When I try running the swf on my home laptop, sometimes it lets me enter text, sometimes it doesn't. I can't remember what I did on my trivia laptop to allow text entry under full screen. Can someone please shed some light on under what conditions Flash allows it? I'm wondering if I set up the trivia laptop to run swfs using a debugging version of Flash or something, but I can't remember. As far as I can tell, it's just using the Flash player.
View 7 RepliesI have a contact form, made up from several input text fields (for: name, e-mail...etc). And the flash site which contains the form starts in full screen, but full screen mode I am unable to input any text in the text field (the cursor appears in the field but as I type no letters appear). But as I switch to normal screen the form works fine.

I think this can be really easy however i'm not reaching the answer of this question. i have text inputs .......and i want to restrict the input to only Numbers...mytextbox.restrict = "0-9"; now when i try entering the values it works fine.....but but.....i doesn't accept any special characters.and i want it to atleast accept '.' because i want to accept decimal values
View 1 Repliesi have created a page in flash with input text field and a toggle button which implies full screen mode as well as normal mode by including the below script. stage.display = "fullscreen".
Users cannot enter text in text input fields while in full screen mode. All keyboard input and key-related ActionScript is disabled while in full screen mode, with the exception of the keyboard shortcuts that take the viewer out of fullscreen mode Is there any solution to enable the keyboad inputs.

Currently i have one input box named input_1 with a variable attached to it named "choc_1".
Also, i have a dynamic text box named dynamic_1 with variable "choc_1".
When the user types something on the input box then the dynamic box changes instantly and displays what the user has written.
auto scale-size the fonts to a smaller size if the user types many letters.
The input_1 box has a 13 character limit. My initial font size is 200, i want to scale down so when the user types 10 letters they fit the box and they don't go out of screen. I want to use one line, so wrap or multiline is not possible.

i have a problem where if my application is full screen i cannot click on any text input component and i cannot input any text into the fields. i have tried creating the text input fields at run time and i have tried creating them on the canvas when on the gui design window in flex builder. however they both give the same results and do not let me pick them and enter text.

i created an input text box that puts the users input into a global variable, but when i test it it gives me not only what i have typed in but all the html formatting for the font that my input text box has on it.I only want the text that i have typed in to go into the variable but the wackload of html is going in there too. ive tried a few different things, rewriting my code, recreating the text box, changing settings, dont know what im missing.

i have an one input text box, first i type text into it and press space bar at this it will become empty and ready to accept next input from starting position, i make the text box empty by
textbox.text = "";
but the cursor not set to initial position in text box it consider "" as "space" and cursor will display after one space only, i need that cursor again move to starting position..

View 2 Repliesthe last of many problems, is that at the very end of the test, you're shown your score, and you have the option to type your name in a text box and click "save". Doing so will apply you score data (time elapsed, date, correct answers and percentage) along with the name you typed in, and output in a form, that you can save or print off, or whatever. The problem is, the input text box will not let you type in it. If you mouse over it, the mouse stays a pointer, you don't get the text tool. If you click on it, the cursor appears for a split second after you release the mouse button, but you cannot type anything in it.This is the actionscript for the output form:

Using AS3 to create a basic number guessing game but for some reason the input text field won't accept text input. I can't figure out which piece of code is causing the problem and it's driving me nuts considering it's from a tutorial.

I'm creating a quiz application using Flash CS3, but it's been such a long time since I've used ActionScript and I'm a little bit stuck.I've created an input text box in the first frame of my quiz program. A person will enter their name into this text box (which I've called "nameInput") and then click the next button to proceed through the quiz.However, when I get to the results page I cannot figure out how to get the input name to be displayed automatically in the dynamic text box (which is called "nameOutput") when the user enters the frame.

This code corresponds to a quiz question where the correct answer is either blue or green. I get the #1009 error if I input "blue". The answer "green" seems to work ok. What's wrong with my code? Is there a better way to make is so more than one answer works? Something like "blue" or "green" or "otheranswer", etc..?

View 1 RepliesI tested my skin for YouTube Chromeless player, and seems it worked properly.All graphic elements, including TLFTextFields, are stored in external SWF, all the AS3 code - in loading SWF.I use ProLoader class to load SWF.However, when I tried to attach Player skin code to my Home Page code, I immediately bumped into two issues:
1. TLFTextFields ceased to display proper font;
2. YouTube Chromeless player ceased to enlarge up to Full Screen width in Full Screen mode, whereas all publishing settings were kept the same...
Although I managed to cope with TLFTextField bug by replacing instances with vars in loaded SWF, I have no the slightest idea what to do with those paddings in Full Screen mode... Neither removing all children on stage before loading YouTube Player skin, nor compulsory resetting player's size can't make it work...
I wnat to display a FLVPlayback full screen the same as when you click on the Full Screen component button.

I am creating a full screen projector with flash CS4. In the projector I have more videos, starting from an swf player-
The problem I encounter is this:
The projector starts correctly FULLSCREEN (using AS). The video plays 900x506 correctly. If I click on the player, to get the video full screen, it works. But when I press ESC, not only the video, but also the PROJECTOR looses full screen.
This is a bit annoying. Is there a way to apply the "back to normal size" only to the video? I do not want to prevent the app to be exited from full screen, it's not a problem if the user wants to exit the projector full screen. But not when the user exits the video from fullscreen mode.
How to target only the video?

The circle display time and the hide time should be input in a input text box in the beginning. Also this has to blink for "x" number of user defined cycles. I know how to control the delay between blinks but I cannot control the amount of time the circle stays on screen.

however as soon as i add a video [i will be adding several] the video takes on the full screen property, and that is not the desired effect.I have used several diff ways to import the video but as soon as i call the full screen, it goes to an all black screen.
I got an input function in witch i set all the variable i want to display. To make it clean i would like to input any number of vars without having to change my input function to avoid the "Expecting more/less arguments". Then i would like to get any type of var (bool num int ....) in the input and then check their type, instead of declaring the first input var being exclusively a number for example. Is that possible and how, don't know if i was clear,
