View 4 RepliesI've got some text that includes links that I display in a RichEditableText component. How do I change the color of the links from the default blue? I tried the example posted by Peter deHaan but it doesn't work with SDK 4.1. I found a way to do this in MXML, but the text needs to be localizable which means I load it at runtime based on the locale, so I can't just include it inline with the MXML.
To recap: How do I set the link colors for a RichEditableText component that displays HTML that gets loaded at runtime?
make a similar menu like this site: [URL] look on the left side, when you click it it goes down and the other items just close and what my boss wants is that when you click something the link changes colors so it will be determined that your on that page my menu consists of a main menu then a sub menu then a sub sub menu
View 10 RepliesI want to make a square grid of fixed side length but varying grid number using code.That is, the number of grids should be specified by the user (say 3*3) and after pressing a button, the stage should be broken into 3*3 grids.I don't want any code, just a method on how to do it. I'm trying to make an array of colors. I have uint's representing my colors now:
var btnColor:uint;
btnColor = 0x999999;
But when I trace these button colors, they come out funny.The color above comes out as:
10066329
And this is the way they get pushed into my array. I tried converting them to Strings:
arrBtncolor.push(String(btnColor));
But it was the same 10066329 that got put into the array. It must be a small thing I'm doing wrong, but so far, I haven't figured out what it is.

I'm trying to make a square change colors randomly.
For example, I want the square to change from red, white, and blue, but randomly.
I know about Mcs and instance names and all that. I just need to know how to write the code. I know it starts with:
OnClipEvent (load)
and after the variable,

think.. in as2, i just want to make a movieclip change colors over a period of say 30 frames when i release a button.. is there a simple way to script this?

I have two predefined colors, 0xFF0000 and 0x00FF00 (red and green), and I would like to set a number of gradiants of colors between these two colors. View 3 RepliesI store a UV-coord from va1 to v1. In the frag shader, an interpolated texture coordinate now is available in v1 to sample. Are there connections under the hood, like semantics, to associate v1 with being the normal coordinates?Are fragments pushed to the fragment shader per triangle or once an entire mesh's geometry vertices are run through?In the vertex shader, let's say I multiply my modelview by my vertex's position. I then want to share my z-coord with the fragment shader for something else. I store the z-cord of the transformed vector into v3. Once I am in the fragment shader and I access v3 for the z-coord, is this the same z-coord I passed in or is this z-coordinate going to be altered by the perspective divide in between? I only ask as I want to clarify the "interpolating" behavior described when storing values in these registers.

Where the user can swipe slow or fast or forward and back - without lifting the finger from the screen - and also be able to flick the finger for a really fast swipe that maybe goes on for a little while. The built in swipe gesture is much too basic for this kind of effect. How would you go about achieving a real swipe effect?

I'm trying to have a movie clip with 4 buttons that moves to the four corners of the stage.Depending on which button is clicked, the movie clip goes to that corner.he trouble I'm running into is determining the variable start points. If the end goal is the lower right corner, it needs to be able to move there from the upper left, the lower left and the upper right. So I need to set the starting position as a variable I assume, but can't get it working.

I want to load random movie clips into an area... kind of like ads. but each of them is a different length, so at the end of whatever clip, it has to be able to move onto another randomly loaded clip.
and for the kicker... it'd be nice to be able to add a button of some kind on the individual "ads" that will allow the user to skip to another randomly loaded ad as if that ad had reached the end of it's time.
add multiple instances of an object to the stage at different but not random points.
For example - I have a box that is linked to a class file. In the class file I have an "ADDED_TO_STAGE" event listener. The function that is called places the box at a certain position on the stage say.... x=100, y= 200.
In the document class I create an instance of it like so -
_box:box = new box();
addChild(_box);
Now what I want is to create multiple instances of box on the stage every 5 seconds. But I don't want them all to spawn at (100,200) on the stage. But here's the catch, I don't want them to be random spawns either.
for ex- I want the first instance of box to spawn on (100,200), then 5 seconds later, the second instance to spawn at (200, 800), the third at (100, 500) and so on.
Would it be possible for me to create objects on the stage to serve as reference points for where i want the instances to spawn instead of writing the exact co-ordinates?
I am populating a textfield with text from XML files. I am wondering what the best way is to handle positioning the TF based on the number of lines of text. So if there is only one line, the textfield's 'y' position might be 100, but if there are 2 lines I want it to move to say 80.
View 1 RepliesI have been encoding 1920x1080i mov files (h.264/aac) to 1280x720p (vp6/mp3) flvs.However, when I add older HD content into the AMC que, content with non-standard presets, the program hangs.I tried to import about 15 files last night and the program just sat there all night in a 'NOT RESPONDING' state.The video's have different audio and video settings and it's little difficult to pinpoint exactly what they were.Some are 1440x1080, some are 1280x900, some have PCM audio some of mp3.Now I temporarily resolved this issue by simply using cs4 master on my mac pro which worked great.However I have noticed a huge speed increase in CS5 64bit AMC.It takes 2-3 hours to encode 1 flash video on my mac pro (dual quad core xeon 2.9Ghz/32GB ram) with CS4.It takes ~20 minutes on my windows 7 station (single core 2 quad 3Ghz/8GB ram) with CS5.
If I drop a single file into the AMC CS5 que, regardless of the resolution, frame rate, or sound codec; it will import.If I then add another file with a different resolution AMC will hang and become non-responsive.It never crashed but I can't wait 12+ hours to see if it accepted a job or not.As I said before this problem was not observed on CS4 for mac it worked flawlessly, albeit a little slow.[code]
