ActionScript 3.0 :: Make Turning Envelope When RollOver?
Dec 25, 2010
I would like to make a turning envelope when the mouse rollOver it, let me explain : when the mouse is away, the user could see the front of the envelope, and when the user move his mouse on the envelope it turns and show its bottom, then propose to open the envelope by clicking and then open it and puts out the letter, if the user does't click and move the mouse away I would like the envelope to turn again to its front...
how to create an opening envelope effect after you click on the stamp. I saw just one tutorial about that but it didn't work and the envelope it wasnt on the front position.
I'm trying to set a custom envelope for a sound in Flash CS5. I can bring up the envelope editor fine. But, I find that all the control points are after the end of the sound itself. If I click on the waveform to create a new control point, the point momentarily appears where I click it, then automatically jumps to the end of the waveform. If I try and drag any of the control points from after the waveform to during it
So I have a music clip that is looping in my timeline. The frames for this clip extends to frame 2966. However, when I want to fade out the clip by going to the properties of the music clip and selecting custom for the effect, clicking on edit sound envelope it only lets me scroll to frame 2465 and no further....So what the heck am I doing wrong or is this a bug in flash?
I'm quite new to Flash and ActionScript. Anyway, I wrote my own XML Slideshow, that's working great. The problem I have is that I can't add an 'envelope' effect to the images that are loaded as sprites. I know I can use 'envelope tool' if I break the image apart (ctrl+b) but I need to do it dynamically via AS. Is there any way to do it. Rotating the X/Y/Z axis doesn't do what I need.
I've tried to make rollover buttons, following a bunch of tutorials. I'm a noob, but I'm sure I've done everything correctly!Basically, the compiler shouts at me, while, another .fla that I downloaded and tried to follow with tutorial works perfectly.
I am a Trainee Web Designer. I have done a few major projects for websites and stuff using alot of Adobe Programs but i have this job where i need to make a map of a school with rollover mouse effects. So when the mouse rolls over the Admin Building on the map, a large picture of the Admin Building comes up. Then when the mouse is moved away the images closes. I need to do that with about 8 images. I have one main image which is an arial of the school, then there is different sections that i need to make 'active'
How can i go about doing this? i have looked for tutorials for ages now but they are either outdated or too advanced for me, i just need a tutorial that can show me how to achieve my goal. i cotton onto things very quickly so i dont get lost unless things get too advanced or there is a lack of explanation.
To make a simple rollover with a click to go to another page, I'm thinking there has to be a easier way sticking to coding still. I don't want to place the code on the button but keep it on the timeline like above.
Now, i wanted to put a sound on the rollover, so when it ran away, it would make a noise, so i put an invisible button on the top in each movie-clip.and put a sound on the over state, but, this makes the MC's not run away!So i thought that i could add a on (rollOver), but i dont know the code to load a sound from the library.
Does anyone know how I can achieve the following effect: As I rollOver one object, everything on the stage except that object fades out slightly (i.e. change in alpha).
Whenever I am trying to do, the button rollover work, and put the dynamic text on top of it. The area outside the text is reacting to the rollover, but when I rollover on the text, I lost the rollover effect of the button under. The only way I have found to work around this, is to create another mc, invisible, on top and covering the button and create a script to activate the button rollover effect under... but is it the only way?
I don't have to do all this with static text, but the font react bad with rollovers or some other effects.
im making a flash animation with a background two sets of text an invisible button and a song. im trying to make the the animation start when the mouse rolls over and have it stop and reset to the beginning when it rolls out. on my invisible button (first layer) i have
I wanted to make my My text tween to a different color upon rollover. I *think* i understand the code I should use to do this, but I'm stuck on what to call the class... I was going to set it up like this...
var Bcolor:Tween = new Tween(b_logo, "???", Strong.easeOut, ?, ?, ?, true);
So as you can see I'm not sure what i would put in the quotes to affect color, or what values I would use?
i have 4 butones made on flash.,now i have a customize pointer also, that drugs on my movie, and now i want to do when i pass with my pointer on rollover at the butones,to change my hand pointer into the one that ihave made_ movie hand pointer. wich are the actions that i have to give? i have this code with as 3.0 until now.this code is only for my pointer mouse that i have. Mouse.hide(); pointer_mc.startDrag("true"); Mouse.hide(); pointer_ mc. startDrag(true); this.onMouseMove = function () { if (_xmouse < 4 || _ymouse < 4 || _xmouse > Stage.width - 4|| _ymouse > Stage.height - 5) { pointer_mc._alpha = 0; } else { pointer_ mc._alpha = 100; } end else if }; whats the code that i have to give for the movie handpointer_mc to work when i rollover a buton to show mine, and not the browser one white.
How can I make my on rollover effect stay when it is clicked? So for example if I click on the home button stays highlighted or in this case keeps the on(rollover) frame selected until another link is clicked. An example would be the main nav on [URL]
I'm building a flash web site, this site contain images in 5 pages, i want to do an effect when rollover of any image ( make image brightness 100 and fade to 0 ).
Basically I have a flash swf file (main.fla/main.swf) with 4 different movie clips.I figured out how to make the movie clip stop on rollover but now I am stuck on trying to load some xml content in my flash swf file.I have loaded xml in flash before but for some reason I cannot figure this one out. I have included my flash source file for anyone that can help. You can download it here:
[url]
Also Included is a file called "main-1-visual.gif" in a the folder called "What it should look like". I numbered the xml variables that need to be loaded:
1. The logo at the top 2. The title 3. The subtitle 4. The content text 5. Another title 6. Related links (This needs to link to specific URL links)
What I am trying to accomplish is this:
When you rollover one of the molecules (balls) that specific movie clip pauses (This works fines right now). BUT I also need to have a xml file specific to that molecule (ball) to load on the right side (see image "main-1-visual.gif") in it's appropriate movie clip. I also need the loaded xml to stay active until you rollover a different molecule (ball).
I am trying to make an array of thumbnails that is magnified as you rollover them. I've got it to array, but it only magnifies in the x or y direction. I think, if I can get this chunk of code to include mousex, it would work:
I am trying to make a slideshow that allows the user to rollover a movieclip. The movieclips are basically static pictures. When a movieclip is rollover-ed (bad grammar i know!), the flash clip stops and onrollout it resumes again. Clicking on a movieclip goes to a URL using the getURL function.right now only the first picture works when you rollover, rollout or click on the picture... the rest stay static and don't do anything...
Now I want the button not to follow an external link, but to go to a specific frame number further in my movie. But I can't get it (not with an extra normal button, not with gotoAndPlay (52) etc.).
Just started using MX and learning ActionScript. How to make a button rollover/rollout target another movieclip using AS. (Before I was just putting an instance of my _mc on the OVER frame of the button. The problem is, whe I went to the AS menu, I couldn't find tellTarget anywhere. Later I found out its depreciated since v.5. What can I use in MX to substitute for this wonderful function???
I am using the Button component (the one shipped with CS3) inmany places in my AS3 project. I am coding in .as files, not on thetimeline.I have skinned the Button to use the colors I like. Now Iwish to "skin" it so that all instances generate a rollOver sound, and I'll be darned if I can figure out how.I know I can listen for ROLL_OVER events in each Buttoninstance. But I have many many Buttons and it seems kludgy to addthat same code to every class I have which tracks a Button. I amhoping there is some way I can make *all* instances of Buttonrespond to rollOver the same way. I am hoping it is likesetComponentStyle or changing the skin for the Button; I can do itin one place and it works everywhere.I guess I can listen on the Stage level for bubble-ups ofROLL_OVER, trap those that come from Button instances, and handleit from there, but stagewide listeners also seem a tad kludgy
