ActionScript 3.0 :: Making Instructional Video With Pauses

I want to make an instructional video with various panning, cursor movements, and info box popups. I'm going to attempt to do this video in all actionscript and expect to use the Timer class and Tweener for all the tweening. What's the best way of approaching a project like this? Can Tweener be stopped in between its tween in order to pause?
I have a movice clip of a container "traveling" down a conveyor belt. I duplicate this movie 30 times (to simulate 30 items moving down the line). The code I'm trying is below.My problem. When the 2 duplicate clip item is created - I want to pause the duplication, (stopping items on the conveyor belt) play a movie clip (next to second item to explain what has happened), then continue duplication, stop duplication again at eighth item, (do similar to #2) play another movie clip - then continue all duplication until I hit 30. At which point they all start falling off the conveyor belt.

I want to have a button that pauses the flash movie. When clicked, the flash movie stops and another animation plays.Specifically Im making a flash movie about the evolution of geometry for my math class. Animations are going to be playing, and when my teacher clicks the Info button, a screen pops down with the related information about the scene playing.
Does flash pause its execution somehow if the browser tab in which its residing is inactive? developed a multiplayer game using cirrus and when I tried to play it by switching tabs, aking a move in each tab, there were some inconsistencies regarding the way the game executed as if the inactive tab pauses the flash execution and then resume once it was active.
I am going to have 2 flv videos on an HTML page and a footer link at the bottom that will pop up the terms and conditions with a video in that (silly yes but bare with me). Is there a way to stop all SWF videos once that link is opened so that video is the only one playing?
This code loads an external intro movie, and allows me to remove it when I hit the back button.I was wondering how I can add another button that pauses/plays the introPage.swf at whim from the container .swf file?
I recently made a flash file with a fps of 24 with a motion tweened oobject which moves from below and stops when it's already on the upper part. the only code i added is the stop(); on the last frame. When I Shift+Enter it, the motion tween works flawlessly. The problem is, when I Ctrl+Enter it, the motion tweened object suddenly pauses three times in the middle part.
All images included have "Allow Smoothing" checked.

I need to flash a series of words for 2.5 seconds with a pause for .5 seconds. The words are drawn from an array that is assigned, but I need to have these words flash in a particular order.For example, if the "words" were A, B, C, D, E (each of which I've assigned a stored value), I might need to show A C E B A A F.
I have a looping aquarium with looping swimming fish. I want to be able to click the fish and they make a pop-up appear with info about them. I can't figure out the code to launch the pop-up? I am using CS3 and action script 2.0.

I would like to be able to make it so you can click a button (I've got one made in the doc already) that will make just the video on each "slide" go full screen, similar to how you can do so with other videos on sites like YouTube and others.
While what I've linked to above is just a template I'm messing with, I'd like to be able to have a video on the right, let's say, with text on the left, and then be able to click a button (perhaps under the video that says "full screen) and have the video that is there fill the whole window and play.

This works like a fairy in wonderland if I create the video with dimensions matching the stream: Like Code: video =new Video(1280,800)
However, when I change the Video's size on receiving the onMetaData Event according to the actual streams width and height properties, the capture i get from _vidBitmapData.draw is still in the dimensions of how I created the Video. So if I do Code: video =new Video(10,10) and then private function onMetaData(metadata:Object):void { video.width=metadata.width; video.height=metadata.height; } I get a nice display of the video.
However when doing the Code: var _vidBitmapData = new BitmapData(video.width, video.height, false, 0x0000ff); _vidBitmapData.draw(video); var bmp:Bitmap=new Bitmap(_vidBitmapData) I get a 10 x10 px image....
I'm just trying to make it so the video in my swf (the flv) does not immediately play when a web page opens. I have: imported the .mov into flash, creating a flv file
given it a skin converted it to a symbol (Movie Clip)
given it an instance name of movie_Clip
created an actionscript layer with the simple code of: movie_Clip.stop();
Shouldn't the clip be stopped upon opening the SWF file? How can I make it be stopped?
I have cs4 web premium which doesn't include aftereffects. I need to however make a green/blue backgrounded video transparent (alpha channel, if I got it right) to be used by flash/as3. I'm not sure if I can use either firework or illustrator do the job? another question is, for a short movie clip, which tool can be used to edit the movie frame to turn the non-green/blue clored backgroud into green (then adding alpha channel...)
I'm trying to make a P2P video chat application with Flash Builder 4.5 and Flash Media Server 4.5.First, I've tried a simple sample application using Cirrus(Stratus). It worked very well!NetConnection -> NetGroup -> 2 NetStreams -> netstream play and publish -> last, netgroup post.The sample was all OK.[code]I couldn't get events about NetGroup and NetStream any more..When using Stratus, It worked well...I am not familiar with FMS.. did I skip something in FMS setting?
I'm wanting to build a project, it's an online video creation software in Flash so people could upload some music, choose videos from a library, edit the whole thing and export and download a movie in the end. I've seen websites like www.Animoto.com close to what I want to do but I can't find how it's made and I'd like to make it a little more advanced when it come to editing.

I'm making a working scrubber on a video, but having problems. The scrub itself it starting out in the middle of the loadbar. I've looked everywhere, trying to find out what is wrong with it. Here is the code and link to my .fla [URL]

Inside of the getVideoReveiver() function I'm getting the flag to go off from writeText("flag") then I get and output in the text box of:
NetStream.Play.Reset NetStream.Play.Start
from the netStreamHandler, but the video never shows up in the receiving video element.I'm running this is two different videos of the same computer and taking the nearID from one stream and pasting it into the textInput theirID. I'm not sure what to try next?

I am making a flash video with externally loaded pictures. I have that working. Whats the problem then? Well I am trying to make it so those pictures appear instantly when called. So I need to preload them but I could not find a way to do this.
I am making a flash video of a star with different colors, but I want to change the stars colors randomly. I have got the code to change the star to random colors, but now I need to reset it to it's original color.

For my FLVPlayBack player, I want a "% loaded" message before the video begins, which counts upwards.This wouldn't be a problem if this was just the usual bytesTotal/bytesLoaded calculation, but this is a progressive video that plays with playWhenEnoughDownloaded(). In other words, I'm not counting up to when the entire video has loaded, but to when the video is going to start, based on playWhenEnoughDownloaded().

I've seen plenty of tutorials for making Flash go fullscreen, but nothing out there yet for just the FLV contained on the page go full screen.
Sites like The Daily Show (I can't post URLs since I'm a new user, but just go to their front page to see) are doing what I need to do. When you go fullscreen with their video, the bottom video controls and the top social media bar aren't scaled. They adjust themselves in width, but the text and button graphics remain the same size.Now, I've had success with a method where, when the FULLSCREEN event is invoked, I downsize my interface elements by a ratio equal to the difference between my SWF size and the screen size, essentially keeping the interface at a constant size in both modes. However, all text and graphics inside those elements are distorted or blurred when I do this.
