I'm making a pacman game, and the game always crashes when I'm testing it in flash. It crashes when i get loser or winner. I can't press the X button or press again, because it crashes, so i have to do Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Do you know why its doing that?
I wish to program a Pacman game, only it's designed with perspective (3d-like). Since the vertical lines are diagonal, I would think the best way to approach this would be to draw the maze with simple line shapes, then restrict the movement of all objects to those lines (let's call it "thePath"). The movement of objects would be determined by the angle of each segment of thePath. This gets complicated once I need the computer-generated enemies to both move along thePath, and to determine the shortest path to the Pacman.
Creating a pacman-style game using Flash (AS3). There are 3 players competing to eat the most dots. Right now when one player eats a dot, on that player's screen the dot goes away (but only for a second) and appears again in the screen. The other player playing, doesn't see that the dot went away and reappeared.Using hitTestObject, when a player touches a dot, the dot should no longer be seen on the stage. I'm using shared object to create this multi-player game environment. I'm new in using SharedObject and also AS3.

Simple animation..I want to rotate a circle with a cut in (looks like pacman).I want to rotate i 1 x clockwise and devide this animation in 4 parts. so if you think of a clock it goes, 9, 12, 3, 9, ...The rotation works perfect until i start adding the keyframes and adjusting the rotation, at some point it always goes wrong.. insted of going the right way (clockwise) the circle starts to move counter clockwise.. I have to add some extra keyframes to keep the rotation on track, this result in a not so smooth rotation.
ps: Just to make my self clear, it happents only once you start to manualy rotate and adjust pacman - this is a must since i have to have keyframes in certen points (when the packman is at 90 degree rotation) [URL]
i'm creating a game in Flash 5.... it involves a character (moved by player) avoiding an enemy in a maze like area...... (think Pacman)....now, i've done my charater and maze..... but i've not started on d enemy.... i've read some tutes on random movement but it doesn't involve a maze like area....it juz cuts across d screen randomly...

I am trying to make a pacman game and was advised that collision detection for a game like this is much easier if you create it using a tile based methodology. I have the map created and the character moves fine around the grid. But once I added collision detection it seems to be a bit off and inconsistent. Im not entirely sure what the problem is with the collisions.
Flash CS5.5 crashes when testing this movie using CTRL-ENTER a few times. Sometimes, a message warning that the Java Virtual Machine is running out of memory appears. I would like to know whether it is the FLA or my Flash installation that is corrupt.

I have recently purchased CS4 Design Premium. The installation of all applications went fine (no error message) and all applications work perfect except Flash CS4. On startup I see shortly the stage screen and then the spinning beach ball. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash only with no luck. I then uninstalled and reinstalled the complete Suite and still no luck. I work on a MacPro with 10.5.7. All other system requirements are fullfilled
I've been using Flash CS4 on my MAC running 10.5 for over 6 months with no issues. But now when I open a fla file it opens but when I click anywhere it will crash within seconds. I've restarted my computer and checked that my Flash App is up to date.
just recently upgraded to Leopard. Flash now crashes when opening certain fla's (that worked fine before). The files sometimes open, but then crash the app when I select something on the stage. In these cases I can actually edit the actionscripts.I'm not sure if the crashes are related to Leopard; don't remember if I tried opening one of the problem files since upgrading.I'm on a MacBook Pro 17 2.33, 2gb ram.I repaired permissions (several times), ran various Onyx processes, zapped pram, removed all the prefs files I could find, and reinstalled the whole suite (CS3 Master suite). Bridge won't even open; it crashes on opening.
I've got a 9MB fla file that suddenly doesn't open any more. When I try to open it, it crashes Flash. When I try to open it as a library, it crashes Flash. Someone told me a library object might be corrupted - not good, irreparable. I'm on a Mac and when I try opening the fla file it gives me an "error type 2 occurred." I imported the swf file into a new Flash file, but now it's just a one-layer straight-streaming movie with every frame a completely new, redrawn keyframe. Is there any way to resurrect the original fla file? I've got a Sunday deadline?
I am having a problem with Flash at work. Any time I try and publish a file, whether its a .swf, .exe, or whatever, Flash crashes and closes. I am running Windows Vista x32, and Flash CS3. Any file, as long as it is saved and publishing a copy of the file with the same name, does this. The only way I can get around it is publishing from an Untitled document that hasn't been saved yet....even then all I get is a preview, not an actual published file.
The files I am working with publish fine on other machines. I have contacted Adobe and all I got was "reinstall," and "run a clean install." I reinstalled 3 times, and have run CS3clean twice along with more reinstalls (once each using each separate level of cleaning.) None of it worked; I still get the same issue. Also, I cannot open the ActionScript tab without flash crashing; the only workaround is to open an untitled document, open the AS tab THERE, and THEN open an already existing document. From there though I can't check my syntax or auto-format.
I am just starting to learn how to use flash. I have made four diffrent fla files, but one of them is not working. Flash crashes when i try to open it, it worked last night. Is there any way to repair it or find out what i have done wrong. Dont want it to hapen again. There is no problem to run the swf file. I have uppdated flash to the latest version 10.0.2.
and I have this problem: i am currently trying to create a 720p movie consisting of 738 single JPG pictures; 6 frames/second. Each picture has 204 KB, all the pictures together add up to 226 MB.Yet still, Flash is crashing (due to memory overload?) once I have loaded like 100 pictures of my sequence... I loaded 90 pictures and tried exporting it as a small AVI-movie, but even that made Flash crash. I checked the Windows task manager, and I saw that even with only 90 pictures loaded, Flash already takes up 1,6 GB of my RAM.Is there a way making Flash save those pictures not on the memory, but on the disk, in a temporary folder or something? I wouldn't care if it takes way longer.

i convined by boss to splash out on flash cs4 for work to make the website. it worked fine for about a week. now, when i try to start it, it just starts to load then crashes. it looks as if it is going to load then doesn't. i have tried uninstalling, rebbotiong in safemode and using various registry programs and reinstalling
I am workijg on creating an animaton it is 300 mb in file size and i am running windows 7. i have also tryed working on windows xp and the same problem happens.
what happens is that i could be drawing or copying a layer that i need to work with and flash will think for a little bit and then crash says that an unexpected error has occured and all i get is an error excption. i am running CS4 on windows 7 with 5gb of ram.
I hate to start a new thread but I didn't see one pertaining to this issue. I hope I am not alone. I recently bought a new iMac and it came with Snow Leopard OS. I ported over my Web Premium Creative Suite and all of my applications work great except for Flash CS4. I open the app to the intro screen but as soon as I try to open an existing project file or even to create a new project file, the app crashes immediately. I tried calling Adobe Support but they only turn me away, saying I need to purchase a $175 Support Plan for help. I just want my Flash to open. The same app works fine on my Macbook Pro (running Leopard). It seems adobe should be willing to help seeing as how the specifications say it is supposed to be compatible with Snow Leopard.Anyway, I have tried installing all updates and Deactivating/Uninstalling and Reinstalling.
flash cs4 launches fine but crashes when starting a new action script 3 doc. (quits unexpectedly) it seems to work fine when i log on as a guest user but not as myself (admin). MACPRO desktop OS10.6.2 what can i try to aleavate this problem.
I experienced a very strange problem today. As I was working on my FLA file, I tried to paste some text into a static text field using CTRL+V (I am using Vista Home Premium). However, at the time the focus was on the font field in the property window instead of on the text field and all the text I wanted to paste replaced the font name. As I tried to open the font drop down list to select the correct font flash crashed.
Since then I have not being able to open any FLA files. Flash starts without a problem, but if I try to open any FLA file it crashes again. I also tried creating a new FLA file but without success. I copied the FLA in question to another machine and there the file opens without a problem, so the file itself is not corrupted.
I have Adobe CS5 Master Collection trial installed on Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3, 32bit operating system.Every time I try to exit Flash CS5, no matter how (File/Exit, ALT+F4...) it crashes and won't close the window.While I work in Flash, open and close documents it works fine.
I have suddenly encountered a strange problem; each time I try to publish in FL CS3 in Vista I get an error message from Windows about 20% of the way through the status bar which says that Windows is shutting down Flash and will send me a message it figures out why it is shutting down. Is there a way to delete a cached file in the Flash Player folder to make this stop.
I'm well & tired of the volume of crashes from Flash CS5. Some are more predictable, like now every time I try to import an FLV it's crashing, so I'll try repairing permissions, and rebooting the computer. Some are more random, like I'm moving something in the Library and it'll just crash out. It's really a terrible experience working in the Flash IDE. I love Actionscript 3, and the Flash Player seems pretty stable. But my God, what do you do when Flash starts bugging out?
