ActionScript 2.0 :: Receive An Auto-responder Message When Input An Email
Dec 13, 2003I have a perfectly working form on my site where users input their email and it goes straight into my email inbox. However, I would like them to recieve an autoresponder message when they input an email. Although the(my) email to which user's email is sent to has an autoresponder active, my server administrator explained that when an email is recieved, an autoresponder is sent to the form/site and not the user's email address. He said I would require a code to put in my form to facilitate sending the autoresponder to the user who inputs his email in my site.

Sep 26, 2008the source files work perfectly when I upload them to my server - but when I insert the form into my flash website - I am unable to receive the contact email at all. The problem must be with the flash file becuase I have not altered the php (except to send to my email)
I am using Flash CS3 (but publishing for action script2) I have double checked all my input field sare named correctly with var_names that match the php code. The form fields have been created as a moviclip named "form" and the following action script attached:

Actionscript 3 :: Extracting Links And Twitter Replies From A String?
Sep 16, 2010I am getting a string from Twitter into my Actionscript which is a unformatted string. I want to be able to extract any links and or any @replies from the string, then display it in htmlText.
So far I have this

This is fine for extracting links, which finish with a space. But what if, like the @sumTwitter, it finishes at the end of the string. And also what if there are multiple links or @'s, is the best way to put it in a while loop?

The second method looks more verbose and less intuitive to me. Moreover, the Proxy has the ability to send Notifications, which, in my mind, means it probably should. Are there instances where the Proxy should only send a Notification via the ApplicationFacade instance?

Mar 25, 2011I was wondering if it's possible to show a notification for new updates in a swf file.
Like what if I upload a .txt file somewhere and inside it there's a variable, something like;

And this will show up in a text field somewhere in my swf file. Is this possible? Are there any pros and cons about using this method of notification?

1) It doesn't send. A blank email form comes up that the user has to fill out - doesn't work with their email client.

May 31, 2010my first flash webpage sends data to a php script. I then do

So if the data is sent with no problems, it will load up my new url. Problem is, this new url needs this data to display it. So, if my php file holds the data in variables, how can my new url retrieve these in real time? (meaning that data goes straight from swf to php to new swf) I have been trying LoadVars, but not sure if this will work in real time, maybe it will.
