It doesn't really matter the coding language, but i need something "shading" and not "just pick a color and fill with bucket style coloring book".

I need to use a flip book, and I'd be happy to buy one, but my needs for it are a little different than most. Instead of loading images or SWF files as the pages, I need to load text (simple, unformatted text)instead from variables passed to the swf file.This way I can use it just to show text from a database.Ideally my project also needs to allow the user to modify/save the text displayed, too, but I won't worry about that until I get the basic display going.Is this possible with a flip book?

This tutorial, Coloring Book in Flash , is giving me headache for the last 2 hours. On the beggining of tut, it say to download and open souce FLA file- I saw that there is only drawing in start FLA file, so I make my own. Is that mistake, right at the beginning? If so, where I can find tut in the whole, so I can use my own images?

The file "flippingbook.swf" references a js file which points to a jpeg which is then displayed on the book's page. The jpeg can be substituted for a swf file. I would like to create a table of contents swf file (lets call it "table.swf") I would like to click a button on "table.swf" that would make "flippingbook.swf" go from page 1 to page 4, etc.

View 3 RepliesI am making a web page with about 13 buttons. some are dropdown menu Items.I would like to have a background linked to each of the buttons, such that when I click on a new button the background fades into the new background.
example: I am at my home pag, and the background picture is a tree. you click on my about button, and the background fades into a picture of a book. you click on my contact button and the picture fades to a house. then you click back on the home button and the tree fades back in. If you are at home and you click on the home button the picture should fade into the same picture etc.how to do this without creating each one of the fade transitions manually.
i am new to flash and wanted to learn so i went and bought the classroom in a book for flash cs5 to self teach my self and well in chapter 6 it has you create a navagation menu. This menu has four boxes you can hover over and click ( i completed the whole lesson so its ready to go) and well when you go to test (command + enter) the flash movie plays but it plays on a custom loop over and over.
I went to the top and went under control and deselected loop and it still does it and or it stops but then nothing is clickable.. what gives?? the lesson had me design the menu so you are able to hover over and have a box appear and then when you click it makes a sound and then after you click a new window pops up with info about that particular button and well when you test it it loops through at the blink of an eye and none of the buttons work and it just plays like a movie.
The function at the end needs to allow a person to go back in the data. I can go forward,but I cannot go back.
