Mar 18, 2011I've got a dynamic html text field in flash which pulls content from an XML file, which is being generated by a CMS using CK Editor. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but flash represents a <br/> tag with a space that seems more fitting for a <p> tag, and a <p> tag renders with about double that amount. How do I control this? I've tried specifying margins in the flash css file, but it has no effect. Is there something I can declare in the actual actionscript code?

Mar 2, 2012This component requires that you use Dynamic text, the Multiline behavior, and embed all fonts. There are 5 lines of copy on the banner. I need to make two of the lines of copy a larger font and also adjust line spacing on two of the lines. I can accomplish this using Static Text but cannot seem to get it to work in Dynamic Text. If I change the font size on selected text it changes ALL of the font sizes for everything within that text box.

Sep 26, 2007When a Dynamic Multiple line text field is used in Flash CS3, it has a very annoying feature that auto inserts a line break at the end of inserted text. It also auto inserts a line break if no text is entered too.
I'm having a problem with this because the text is being saved from flash to a text file on the desktop. With every multi-line text field there's a nasty looking line break.
Any way of "turning off" this auto-line-break-at-the-end feature?

Jan 15, 2010As part of my flash design, I want to have some tweening text. At the beginning of the tween, the height of the text needs to be distorted ('too tall'), and at the end of the tween, the text will have settled into its correct height. However, when I try to scale the text in the first keyframe of the tween, the font size changes along with the text field height. Normally, I could just make the text into an image, but this needs to be a dynamic text field. Is there no way to scale the height of the text field and distorting the text height without changing the font size?

Actionscript 3.0 :: Scrollbar Not Measuring Height Of Dynamic Text Field Properly
Feb 15, 2009I am using a scrollbar as demonstrated in OO scrollbar part 1 and have it working great, except that when you scroll the text, it seem to add a bunch of space at the end of the text field and then does not scroll back up to the top of the text field, but rather ends up in the middle.
Seems like it is somehow measuring the height of the text field at the wrong time? I would guess that it has the right height dimensions (due to the extra space at the bottom) but that it somehow is getting the wrong y coordinate. [code]...
