so basically the title says it all. When I export my project with ctrl+enter it shows up exactly as I desire. But when put on the server the xml still loads, but some graphics and functionality are missing. I was wondering what could be causing this? Anyone else have missing movieClips in their piece when they put their swf on a server, but had the movieClip function fine before?

So the logo is integrated with the camera as it would have been placed in a layer above.Is that possible and if it is, how do i do it? View 1 RepliesI have created a Flash Video in Flash 8 and published and picked up in Dreamweaver 8. Published files were sample.swf, sample.html and SteelExternalAll.swf (skin). Publish settings were: Format - Flash SWF and HTML; default Flash settings with local playback security set to access local files only; default HTML settings.
In Dreamweaver, sample.html is accessed via an iframe in test.php. In Preview mode, everything is as it should be with the Video showing. The problem is, when I upload all the files to the Server, the video is not displayed including the skin. Instead, all I get is the border of the iframe with a red rectangle showing where the video should be.
I import one MP3 format video in a flash template by going to File>Import Video and follow the steps as desired and after finishing it shows correctly. The problem is when I upload the same to the server it did not show at all.
View 4 RepliesI was wondering about MC and hey can help to lag a game out. I set up an advanced class system so i don't have to use MC to simulate walls, all i use isthe x,y,width and height. Well anyway since i don't need MC anymore I was wondering if there is a way to attach Graphics instead of MC cause a Graphics file size is relatively small than that of a graphic, I think. If anyone could tell me thats true and show me a way to attach graphics that would be nice. I haven't tried it yet but maybe if I exported the graphic from the library imihgt be able to call its name, but it doesn't have an instance name so im stuck.

The client app can get the stream from the published to app (e.g. CamChat) but not from the republished stream. View 7 RepliesI have a 30 sec flash file that was converted from a .flv to .swf in flash CS5.I place the .swf file in Dreamweaver CS5.The file is only 57k the .flv was 3,560k. The flash plays perfect locally.When uploaded thru the "put" function with Dreamweaver the .swf file uploads along with the java and expessistall.swf. The flash will not display on the website.

I'm using FMLE 3.1 to stream live video encoded with H.264 format with FMS 3 and Flash player 10 + AS 3 to connect to the stream. When I connect to the stream, just the audio is played. I'm able even to get the metadata information about the video, but I just receive the audio. I already tried some stuff like
1. "Flash 10 won't play live stream H.264 after iTunes install" [URL]. I tested it in a complete different environment than mine, but the same result.
2. I've tried some format to play method, but this is just to play files

Another detail is that when I record the video to a file for instance "sample.f4v", I put this video in the FMS but when I connect to this stream I receive the "FileStructureInvalid" error message. I went from changing the extension to .flv [URL] to the solution to flatten the files [URL] but this is not the case because I'm using FMS to stream the recorded video.

Each time the server gets rebooted we receive an invalid license key warning in the event viewer application log. Will this cause the server to stop working? Our license key is valid.
The C:Program FilesAdobeFlash Media Server 4.5licenses folder shows the files- sif35.bin,sif40.bin,sif45.bin and sif.bin.
I know flex is a client side technology, but our customers are asking us to e-mail them reports (i.e. graphic images) that look just like the flex graphics we show them on the desktop on a nightly basis.
View 3 RepliesI have a large vector drawing (imagine 5000x5000) that i want to break up into separate pieces. I know that I can convert this vector drawing into a bitmap and then use the copyPixels method to create many separate bitmaps of the different regions of the original vector drawing, but is there any way to subdivide it into movieclips that just contain vector graphics instead of a bitmap?The reason im dividing a big chunk of vector graphics into smaller pieces is for performance reasons, so flash would only render a small part of this big chunk at a time (only certain regions/voxels/subdivisions are rendered at a time). But bitmaps apparently take up a lot of memory and the system im using would take much less memory if these subdivisions could be preserved in their original vector graphics form.
I imagine I could use masks somehow to achieve this effect (for each subdivision, duplicate the huge image and mask only the region that the subdivision represents), but I dont know the performance costs of masking or if this will create other problems.So is there anyway to split up a movieclip of vector graphics into smaller movieclips of vector graphics the same way copyPixels can with bitmaps?
The company I work for installed FMS on a server running Centos for a customer who needed streaming media capabilities. It worked fine for 3 months until today the customer called us and informed us that their client program can no longer connect to the streaming media server. No one has done anything to the server to cause this to happen. When attempting to access the admin console to diagnose the program, the streaming server returned a 500 Internal Server Error. So I tried another page. Same result. Reboots of both the hardware server and the FMS have changed nothing.

I have a prealoder which is done on action script 3. but the problem is when I added my swf movie it becomes just a plain graphic. All buttons converting in to graphic. I have an .as class file which creates a circle at the mouseX and Y, another .as file that acts as a getter/setter for my array and a .flv file to run to script. It's sposed to create a circle at the mouse coordinates and expand. the problem is, it creates the circle which expands but depending on how far away you click from the top left, the circles fly right off the stage towards the bottom right.
I traced the x and y coordinates of the circles but their coords aren't changing. heres the code

I have a load of FLA files with large libraries of vector graphics. Is there a way of forcing Flash to create an export(jpg or swf)of all the graphics in a library without having to manually drag them onto the stage or into a scene before publishing or exporting them? I'm thinking there might be an SDK or utility or something that can read fla files and export everything programmatically.
View 3 RepliesI am designing my whole app in photoshop and currently in the process of moving all of the images to flash to add interactivity. The promblem is, when we put the app on the iphone the quality of the graphic is lowered for some reason. When I am building in photoshop my settings: 640px by 960px 72 ppi Saving out as a .jpg When I send the jpg as a picture to my iphone 4 and view it in my "Photos" app, it looks great, but on the test app it loses quality. Does anyone have anyone have any idea whats going on here?

I have two rather large problems...
1) I need to load the original vector art, probably convert it to FLV and display it in my flash application.
2) After the user potentially loads a number of images, adds some text, rotates or transforms some elements, I need to save the resulting composition into a vector art format that I can print.
I'm not much of an AS developer...my experience is mostly in .NET/C# & C++. I'm looking for a good library or API that provides the functionality I will need to convert different image formats and save the results. How much of this can be done using Flash / AS...? How much in C#...?

View 1 RepliesI have two layers in Photoshop: 1 -- a texture, 2 -- a semi-transparent image that overlaps texture. The combination of the two looks nice in Photoshop. I export them separately from Photoshop saving them as 24 bit PNG with transparency and colors converted to sRGB. (Working color space of PS is sRGB.) The result of importing them into flash makes me cry (see images below, note what areas around crosses look like).
I tried both loading PNGs dynamically and directly importing them into fla (compression type: lossles, allow smoothing: false). Looks like semi-transparent areas are saved inaccurately on export. What's more puzzling to me is why the results differ between dynamic loading and direct importing. Here is that psd I'm stuck upon. Inside the zip you'll find transparency.psd, which has only two layers. I still have no luck in placing them into fla: transparent areas get dirty. [URL]
