I would like to know how I can link a button in flash to a .php file..Maybe it's very easy, but I have been looking for it for days, and I can't get it to work, and it's driving me mad!

I am trying to make a button work in a Flash cs4 file using as2. It is a template I am modifying from DreamTemplate. I don't know what I am supposed to change and exactly what I should change that unknown code to Here is the code I have:

How do make a HTML window open the exact size you want it to be from a button in Flash? Something with getURL maybe?

Again, this works fine, i just want to have the image take up the "white" space on the stage area, very similar to an IFrame.

I have an an array of objects. I populate the datagrid from the array. The nmber of columns in the datagrid is fix i.e.5 and the first column always shows serial number (0,1,2,3,4). I have a link button called 'CLEAR' in the last column of the datagrid.

View 7 RepliesI bought a flash template last week and have more or less being able to modify it to the way I wanted, its 95% done & I've had to make a couple sacrifices due to my lack of flash knowledge.
The blog on the website is now on a subdomain (I'm using wordpress for the blog), I also had a registration email form on my current site which is now gonna be on a seperate html subdomain too.
My problem is that I have one page on the flash template that I wanted to use for the blog but as that's not easily done. Instead of using the button to open an empty page, is there anyway I can redirect it to the Blog on the subdomain & open it in a blank window/tab?

Like so: ive made a pretty simple and nice layout i plan to use for all pages with some images an so on .Now ive made lots of buttons wich all opens in a timeline nice and slow (not to slow). On the index page i have a menu called "treatments" wich requir some room. I want to make a button called "treatments" wich can open and collaps to 3-4 minor buttons wich then again can link to diffrent pages describing different treatments. Now i need the treatment button to open up the 3-4 minor buttons one by one smooth(tweened with the alpha slider) with same frame rate as the other ones on the page and collaps again.

I'm using Flash CS5. I've used the recommended code on code snippet, I've used codes that were recommended and I've tweaked it, but it still not opening my pdf. All I'm trying to do is have a text box display a link and then click on the link to go to the site.
Now, everything is working as far as display, but when I try to pass the targeted (clicked) link to navigateToURL, it is null.
