Flex :: Datagridview - Array Objects And Datagrid With Link Button (Clear Button) In Adobe?

I have an an array of objects. I populate the datagrid from the array. The nmber of columns in the datagrid is fix i.e.5 and the first column always shows serial number (0,1,2,3,4). I have a link button called 'CLEAR' in the last column of the datagrid.
1> How do I make the clear button visible only when the row is particularly clicked 2> When the clear button is clicked, how do I make the contents of that particular row cleared. Not deleted, only cleared to insert data again. Also, the serial number (0,1,2,3,4) should not be cleared, nor deleted. How to do this ?

I have a flex application mxml file with 3 tabs.the first tab having the link button to select the value in the 3rd tab. Suppose, i have a link button in first atab. And the 3rd tab contains the combobox with values:"basic", "advanced". by default the vaule is displaying "default". When i select the linkbutton on the first tab, the "advanced"should be displayed in the comboBox on the 3rd tab. and the problem is , when click on the first tab link button , at that time the 3rd tab is not initialized. So it is not displaying the "advanced" in the comboBox. selecting the 2nd time on the link button it is displaying fine. But not first time. code: thirdTab.comboBoxId.selectedItem.data = 1;

I have an xml file that I load and parse with no problem. I have a number of buttons that are on the stage. I want to link the buttons with the xml file. I have simplified it here
The sample xml file is like this

I have three buttons on the stage. When I click button _1, I want to access the value in the first element in the xml file (George). And so on with button_2 and button_3.I'm guessing you put the buttons in an array. How do you link the button array with the xml array?

I have referred this for creating error message tool tips, to be displayed continuously unless the error is resolved by the user. :: [URL]
But, this is being applied to a pop-up window visualized as a pop-up form.
When the user clicks 'CANCEL' button, I want the error message tooltips if present to be cleared off from the screen. The message tool tips remains on the screen even if the CANCEL button is clicked.

i inserted a dateField component.on clicking it displays calender, i would like to add 2 comboboxes, i shows hours(0 to 23) other for minutes (0 to 59) to calender so tht the user can select the time along with the date and that wil be displayed in the text input as date and Time. one more thing i would like to add is clear button to clear the selected date to the calender.

I have an editable datagrid with a dataprovider which is basically Numbers. Is it possible to delete a value? When I do it it puts a 0 in that cell but I really need an empty value, like a Null or a NaN whose are going to be cleaned later with a labelFunction. BTW I also need the cells to keep the 0 if needed to.

I have a datagrid with different types of columns, like I have checkboxes, combo boxes and text Inputs as the column types. Now I want one of the column type to a link, with the label "view". I am using Flash builder 4 to both build and manage (via cvs) projects. In recent days my designer has been having trouble committing to CVS, leaving a project blocked. I have troubleshooted troubleshot tested CVS and it is working fine (others can commit and retrieve without a hitch).
in an effort to start from scratch - I have removed the flash builder application (dragging it to the trash, its a Mac) as well as using the uninstaller (which does not work as well as I would have thought), but on reinstall - all preferences are still there - CVS connection and all.
is there a file or set of files I can delete to reset all of the prefs for Flash Builder (built on eclipse if that helps)?

I have a DataGrid with an drop-in Button itemRenderer:

However, the button extends all the way both the right and left edge of the DataGridColumn. I've tried messing with the width properties and paddingLeft and paddingRight styles of both the DataGridColumn and the itemRenderer, but nothing seems to work. NOTE: I do not want to use a Container or UIComponent with the Button as a child as the itemRenderer - too much code.

I am doing an animation of a system schematic I have had a weird thing come up with set interval.I have broken the animation down to three buttons a movie clip and a text field.When I call and clear the set interval from individual buttons the setInterval behaves correctly,but when i try and call and clear from one button with an if statement for a text field the setInterval will not clear.It also will not clear from the other button that is a set interval clear button that normally works.I have set the setInterval variable set to a number.Code Below and fla attached
