I have a fla file that I've created to load 7 external swf files. I am able to create the code to load one swf file without any trouble but I can't figure out the code to get it load swf #2 when #1 is done, and so on. My code for one is below:

View 1 RepliesI have been working on this script that currently loads 2 external files into two separate areas inside my application. the 2nd file loaded is supposed to have several buttons that control the 1st movie clip. Like go to next frame, etc. My problem now is the 2nd file loaded, is not controlling the 1st anymore ( i had this all sitting in one file before).
So the action script to load the files is;

I have created a number of flash files, and now want to combine them all into one single movie file. For example, the files run like this: section1.swf - section2.swf - section3.swf - section4.swfI have created a 'host' file, to load the individual files, but I want to play these files in sequence. So that at the end of section1.swf, section2.swf will play and so on.... Can anybody guide me as to what is the most straightforward method of doing this? I have little or no knowledge of actionscript so the simpler the better for me
View 2 RepliesI'm doing a presentation where it loads different swf files in sequence. I already have a holder with width = 819, height = 614. Right now, I'm loading 1024x768 swf files in it.
This is the code in use:
loadMovie("movie1.swf", holder);
holder._width = 819;
holder._height = 614;
The swf file is loading in the correct position, but when I test play it, the first one [movie1.swf] loads and plays in it's original size [1024x768], then the following one [movie2.swf] loads and plays the way I want it [819x614]... Then when the whole movie loops again, now, the first one [movie1.swf] plays the way I want it to.
i have to load a sequence of external swf files inside a MC.I have no problems with that, but i want to, load the first, and after is fully loaded, make a timer that waits 30 seconds, and then loads the second external swf file.i dont have the original fla files of the external swf files.

image 1 goes to keframe1 of holderMc_animation

View 7 RepliesI have a 'base' MC on the root. On to which I am trying to load several external .swf sequentially. (sn1.swf, sn2.swf...) I see that there is a small lag or a quick flicker when one movie ends and another loads. Is there a way to solve this so the movies load seamlessly?

In my main.fla, I have a code which loads the other two files. Lets say I have subgallery.swf file that loads jpeg images. And I have gallery.swf file that loads subgallery.swf.The jpeg images and both swf files are in the same folder.When I test gallery.swf it loads subgallery.swf but subgallery.swf doesn't load images. When testing subgallery.swf alone, it loads jpeg files.Is there any limitation or setting preventing external swfs loading other content?

View 1 Repliesi'm making a simple portfolio site, and bringing in a series of jpeg files using a 'for' loop and the Loader class. once all the files are loaded in, i'd like to just be able to add, remove, tween, etc... the items from the stage as need-be by using instance names, such as movie clips or Sprites. but for some reason, i cannot seem to figure out how to have each image, as its loaded in, be separately accessable to me after the loop has completed.

In my output box doesn't appear anything.
In a website i have 10 buttons and each of them loads an image. the image only loads into a empty movie clip as soon as i press the button.What i want to try is to start load the images as soon as i enter that page, and I want the buttons to show, only when their image is loaded. Kinda like a progressive thing.What i have to do?? send each image to a diffrent level when loading?

But to lower file size I made the each section a different swf file
when you click a link you will have to wait for that section to load, it would be good if peoples can see the loading progress while they r waiting.
And i hav added a preloader in each of the external swf file.. and then i realise that if i wanna change or modify the preloader, i will have to change all the preloader too.. this is really kicking axx..
is there a way where on the main page there is only 1 preloader needed to show all the external swf files loading progress? i am using an empty mc as container to load thoose external swf files..
I am trying to find a way that I can print a range of jpgs that aren't currently loaded in my movie.
I have a list of thumbnails of photos (with correlating larger version residing externally)each with a number. I want the user to be able to specify a range they would like to print. I think I've gotten close by trying to create a new cast member and load the jpg into it for each one in the range. However my movie keeps hanging and not responding why I try that method.
