View 2 RepliesI want to make a picture gallery and use buttons that move you from picture to picture and backwards, but I don't want to tell button 1 to go to frame 2 and button 2 to got to frame 3 and so on (I hope you know what I mean)Can I use on button on a separate layer with the same action set? I tried something like that, but it didn't work:

How do you make a movieclip move horizontally from the start of the stage to 3/4 of the stage. Stage size is 700 px by 600 px i want just one row in the middle of the stage. i want that movieclip to disappear right after it reach the end of the 3/4 mark.

View 3 RepliesI'm trying to change some great code cbeech authored for me a while ago. I'm just trying to change the code to use Tweenlite and to make it that so I fully know how to edit the code, thus make it modular for me. Right now the code uses the flash tween classes. I rather use Tweenlite.So, basically what the code does is tween a movieclip on its X axis. Thus, when a button is pressed, the corresponding movieclip tweens out to the right and the other one tweens in from the left simulataneously. But I need to code to be completely modular, in case i want to do the same thing o n the Y axis, or if I need to add some more properties to the tween.
Here's the code cbeech crafted, which is great but I'm not skilled enough, yet, to edit to fit all of my circumstances:

I need help creating the right vars to move the Movieclip off the stage when I clicked a button to tween a new movieclip onto the stage...my main plan is to make this code modular and simple enough for me to edit the x y or z, or even the scale properties...cbeech code is awesome, but I'm not skilled to edit it to fit all of my needs.
I have an animation (movieclipX) on frame 2 of main timeline. At the end of movieclipX I'd like the main timeline to move to the next frame, frame 3. How can I do this??Sorry if this is an easy question, I'm in the process of learning.

And the clip is indeed moving from right to left on the stage and when it reaches _x -550 it is going back to it's starting position _x 250 only the movement isn't smooth at all. What should I do to make the movement more smooth or should I use a completely different script?
What I have is actionscript which moves a movieclip from one point of the stage to another, using two buttons to trigger it - fwd_btn and rwd_btn. I also use a setInterval function, so that when you press one of the buttons, it pauses a second before moving. Unfortunately, if you press the fwd and rwd buttons in succession rapidly, the animation gets caught in a never-ending loop. Also, note that every time the user clicks a button, if the movieclip is right in the middle of animating across the stage, I wish it to stop and pause, not complete the animation and then pause.

View 2 RepliesI Have the drag and drop working where you drag a text movieclip onto a picture of an object movieclip but having some problems. I know its something to do with the hitTest function but when i drop the word "cow" onto the picture of a dog it actually says this is correct by displaying the word cow above the picture of the dog when instead it shouldnt allow me to drop the text onto the picture which doesnt match.
Basically i need to know how to seperate the drag hitTest function for the DogPic/DogText so that it has its own function to detect a hit. At the moment you can see in the below code I have 1 hittest fucntion detecting both collisions when they need seperate functions I tried making a seperate function for each but it didnt work

I have a container movieclip on stage that anyone can drag and drop. Inside are 3 pictures that also can be dragged and dropped. Now If you drag and drop the container movieclip its x and y will change. If you drag and drop the pictures there x and y will change. The question is, if you drag and drop the container movieclip, how do you get the pictures x and y as if they were on the stage and not inside the movieclip? Because if you drag and drop the container, its x and y change, but not the pictures because they are inside the movieclip. But if you look at them they actually do...

View 1 RepliesI use the DistortImage class by Sandy to distort an image. This works. However it shows the picture twice unless I add _visible = false; to it on the mainstage. Now I don't want it to be on the mainstage in the first place so I place the picture on the stage from the library:

Okay, since my stage doesn't take up the whole window when viewing it on the Internet, is there a way to tile a picture in the background? So no matter how big someone's screen is, in the background they will see a tiled picture.
View 4 RepliesI have problems with webcam streaming in AS2. In AS3 I can make it visible on stage with a Camera.get call and a Video object. Because of some reasons in one of my works I have to use AS2. Can anyone provide me a working code to make visible the webcam's picture on the stage? I use the following code, but it doesn't work:

I want to incorporate this polaroid flash so that when you click on one of the buttons, this polaroid flash will slide in.

I really just want to have shadow showing underneath the gallery, I just don't know how to add a shadow so it stays under in the picture when i scroll...I call my movie clip with the shadow shadow mc. tried different solutions, but seems everytime i scroll the mask sort of blocks it out... is there anyway anyone knows what Im talking about..? Basicly i need ad a movieclip that lays underneath the gallery and stays there..this is the AS for the gallery:

Okay I have a script in which I have added an image to the stage. It is absolute centered. I then have another with is on top but much bigger. I would like the big image to move opposite of my mouse position on the smaller image. ie: cursor is on bottom left corner the bottom left corner of the larger image is in the same spot. And the same thing for any other area.
I have tried many different ways but to no avail. I have done research but no one has been able to give me a solid answer. Anyone know of a way to accomplish this. Keep in mind this it needs to work regardless of the image size.
I load an image into a MovieClip. At a second time I want to move this image to another MovieClip.
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to make a movieclip move slower at a certent place in my movieclip. This means, that the speed needs to be lowered when e.g. showing af picture. Here is the situation. I have a movieclip running different pictures. E.g. the first runs for 115frames and fades out. Instead of runing 115 frames i want the movieclip to run 5 frames (picture fading in) and the stops or delays for 10sek and then goes to frame 6 from where the picture fades out. Where in the movieclip should i place this Action Script?
