I want to put my flash animation o the top of the page, and when i click buttons, it should call a new html, but splitted the below half screen. the top should always be the same, and the half screen should be a new html.

At present the initial HTML page has a "launch site" link which pops up a fullscreen window (via javascript window.open) with our Flash content.Once in the Flash site, all URLs that point at off-site destinations are set to open in a new window ("_blank" as the target - either an href in text, or via navigateToUrl). In Mac Firefox the new window opens BEHIND the full-screen Flash (as a new tab in my case). In Windows FF and IE, and Mac Safari, the new window pops in front of the fullscreen Flash.Is there a way to make the non-fullscreen window pop in front of the fullscreen Flash? I'm using swfobject 2.1 - perhaps I need to use an externalInterface call...thoughts?

I made a navigation movie clip with buttons, whom I want to be set in one frame- so the navigation MC will stand still while the contents body will change in another frame. I need to load in an external HTML webpage on the stage of one of my .SWF files. Currently I have a primary .SWF pulling from a .XML database that has a list of other .SWF files it will import and display every time you "flip" a page as this site is being designed like a book. I have a .swf working that will pull and display an external HTML page but when i try to embed that .swf into the parent book.swf (Book.swf --> book.xml --> html.swf) it doesnt work. Likely the code i am using doesnt display the HTML if testing the .swf on a local server but the moment you place it on a webserver and call it through a web browser it works.
I don not need anything special, just something that will display the HTML page in a static box that i will set with a fixed size and a scroll bar.
I'm working with printing in flash and I need to span long articles over several pages. I have worked out a solution for finding the overflowing text for each page. But the body text in the articles are formatted with HTML and CSS, so I cannot just split the text anywhere.

If now my overflow algorithm finds that this text needs to be split up at character index 52 (the character "n" in "Morbi non"), then that leaves me without a closing P-tag at the current page and an opening P-tag on the next.
I would like to be able to find the character index of the "<" character that opens the P-tag that the split point character is within. Basically I would like to match any previous instance of "<P" before the given character index.
I have a page (page1) with flash content that has an imbedded mc. The imbedded mc contains a group of thumbnail /buttons that bring up larger images (Thumb2 moves the playhead to frame 2 of the mc) there is also a unique button on each frame of the mc that should bring up a unique html page (a form) for that frame reference. When page 1 loads with the mc in it's default start position at frame 1 the form button works perfectly, however none of the other form buttons work and if I click on Thumb1 (which should be the start position mc frame 1) after clicking on any of the other form buttons, the form button for Thumb 1 no longer works. Everything else works as it should and I get no error codes.

View 2 RepliesI have a website where my Home, About, Work and Contact pages are on four different frames on the time line. Once you click on the Work link from the opening Home page, your brought to the second frame where a little tween brings a bunch of thumbnails into view. When you click on the thumbnails, it brings you out of the .swf and into a new HTML page. The problem is getting back to the Work page in the .swf with out being brought to the opening Home page. I have used an anchor on the time line and changing my publish settings to HTML with anchors, and they do work! But, its opening my .swf in the Work frame and running through the movie back to the Home. Iv tried putting a stop(); on the Work frame, which does stop it but its a dead page, my tweens, buttons, everything is frozen.

to open the page on default browser. Only problem is the browser window is opening at the size it was last used. I like to see it opens full screen.
I want my movie to loop. Would prefer an If/Else loop so that the movie plays a certain number of times then plays the opening of a screen then stops. This is a simple 4 screen ad I am doing for a school project. Can't get it to work. I tried containing my code in the proper loop syntax, didn't work. Then wrapping the loop in a function and calling that with a timer event, didn't work. My final solution was to call my whole movie in a timer event set to play once. Then calling the entire movie again in a second timer event set to play 20 times and set to start at an interval when the first movie ended. This did work but each time the movie plays thru function calls drop off making the movie degrade.

I have a .sfw file that is supposed to run in full screen. It is embed in html. When I run .sfw file it opens in full screen, but when I run it in .aspx page it runs in left upper corner of the page. It's dimension are about 400 x 300 px.

I have made a 1000 x 600 (px) swf movie for a web and I embedded it in HTML. Now the problem is for some screen resolutions above 1024 x 768, the web is aligned to top left. I tried to put it in a div which aligned to center, then scrolling happens.
View 4 RepliesI am developing a high end full screen flash site, the swf technically takes up the whole sceen but elements within it are positioned relative to the browser.
What we are looking to do is have the main page with the full screen Flash piece remain the entire time. When a button is clicked a separate url / html file of content will display in a window or borderless area on top of Flash, scrolling if necessary and preferably with a bit of transparency so you can see the Flash beneath it. The content pages will be formatted by css and the client will have the ability to update via CMS, the page might contain images, swfs, etc.
Nick Stakenburg's Lightview works flawlessly but it hides the Flash when it loads the iframe. This is not acceptable and I have been all over the Lightview forums and trying different hacks and tweaks (wmode, zindex, etc), none have worked and he has basically said that Lightview hides Flash and some other objects so they don't overlay Lightview and that that is his only cross browser solution for now.
This is not actually an AS3 question, but as many users has done it before, I have discussed it here and I hope that I can receive a good solution. I have made a webpage with Flash AS3 and published it in HTML. What can I do to fit it on any screen with any resolution? My page is 800x600 and I would like to have it fit to screen in both dimensions (x and y) or in one dimention on any screen. I prefer not to stretch it on screen.By stretching, the images will be deformed and I don't want it.
View 2 RepliesI am trying to print a HTML from my air app, however, this HTML should never be seen on screen. I am using HTMLLoader for this, as per some sample I saw on the web.
What happens, is that there is a print dialog, but it prints out a blank page.
If this is a window application, and I click some button to print (just the HTMLLoader) it gets printed.

Is there a technique out there which might solve my dilema? I have a standard HTML content page which text and links on it then I want to put Flash over the top, on a layer, wmode set to transparent so you can see the HTML below. All fine so far, I can do this as you can see here -The problem is that obviously you can't select the HTML (ctrl+A) and worse, the links aren't clickable! Not good for accessibility
