I've been designing a Flash animation for a client, and the animation looks perfect on my computer. However, It's having problems on my client's computer though. Please see the screenshot at She's using SWF & FLV Player and the flash animation just stuck on the top left corner, and it can't be dragged or moved.

View 1 RepliesOk i have a movieclip in the mainframe that on a button release gets moved to the center of the screen with some set_property stuff and then i want the clip to play. So i added a tell_target on release, the target is /movieclipname and i then Go_To_and_Play the first frame.
I have a stop action as the first frame of the movieclip as to keep it from runing when i dont want it. i want that tell_target to make the movieclip play but sofar no luck.
Regarding System.capabilities.screenResolutionX in FMX, how would I achieve a movie clip on my stage to automatically alight to the left of the screen/browser depending on the viewers screen resolution?

At present the initial HTML page has a "launch site" link which pops up a fullscreen window (via javascript window.open) with our Flash content.Once in the Flash site, all URLs that point at off-site destinations are set to open in a new window ("_blank" as the target - either an href in text, or via navigateToUrl). In Mac Firefox the new window opens BEHIND the full-screen Flash (as a new tab in my case). In Windows FF and IE, and Mac Safari, the new window pops in front of the fullscreen Flash.Is there a way to make the non-fullscreen window pop in front of the fullscreen Flash? I'm using swfobject 2.1 - perhaps I need to use an externalInterface call...thoughts?

View 1 RepliesMy character is spawned in the middle of the screen, and i'm not sure how to make zombies spawn from the left and right side of the screen, and moving towards the middle. My goal is to make the zombies spawn automatically, and the character in the middle is able to shoot them down. I've just started working on AS3, but i know that i'll need to make an array to do this, but not sure how to implement this.

I'm working on a flash website which is published as a 100% x100% with no scale but I want to add a menu wich has to been shown always at the left of the screen. At home I've got a resolution of 1024x768 but on my work 1920 x 1200. In both cases I like to see the menu in left. Because i like to design some sort of paper strips wich are only visible for like a bit. On a mouseover it will be totally visible. Do I need to add some actionscript with a screensize detection and then some code with _y _x and stuff to place it or do I need to change the settings for the html publish? I want to put my flash animation o the top of the page, and when i click buttons, it should call a new html, but splitted the below half screen. the top should always be the same, and the half screen should be a new html.

I'm doing some small edits to a few lines of text in a .fla file.The file was created with an older version of Flash.When I edit this fla in CS4 and then export it to .sfw and play the movie it does not display correctly.Can I edit an oder file using CS4?the older file is using ActionScript 2.0.
View 1 RepliesThis is a new, legal installation of Flash CS5 running on MacBook Air. Here are the file management problems I'm experiencing:
1) files are excrutiatingly slow to open, close, save, and switch between
2) I currently have a series of about 15 files open and I'm trying to close them - I click "don't save" but the files won't close - it's like I've clicked cancel. I have removed the external media these files were originally on, but if not trying to save the file, why can't Flash just close them and make them go away?
I try to open the macromedia flash 8 version flash file in the Adobe Flash CS4. At that time one "Font Mapping" window came. In that Window "The document "Name" contains one or more fonts currently not available on your system. The text will display and publish with the font mapping below".

I did one flash file by using Action Script 3.0. That SWF running in Vista and Windows7 systems but it not running in XP systems.

It WORKS prefectly on my computer. Opening up the doc file in words and in the foreground.But i recieve feedback that sometime it doesn't open up in the foreground, and sometime, it open up in Internet explorer instead.
I hope someone here can help me figure out why my Flash CS4 on a Mac 10.6.2 machine crashes unexpectedly every time I open a file. (I have posted the entire crash log below) The program will open, and even stay open when I choose a .fla file for about 5-10 seconds and then CRASH every time. For what it's worth, all my other design collection programs work fine.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalled the Flash app., but it didn't do anything. I have also tried deleting all preference files and application support files in my user, and the problem persists.Does anyone have any ideas? I have a Flash job to get out and no way to work on it![code]

I know that there is no implementation of File Save Dialog in JavaScript as of now, but it can be done with Flash. I am looking for a lib or source code in Flash that could do it for me so that I can call it via JavaScript. JavaScript knows the data and filename, I just want to open a file save dialog.

View 1 Repliesas you first get to this website, a neat little :10 swf plays. right now, i have a 'home' and a 'back' button on all the pages linked to a static screenprint of where my neat opening .swf ends.
is there a way to prevent that entire opening flash file from replaying again when visitors hit their own browser's 'back' button from the other pages, and just give them the last frame?
Imagine you have 10 movie clips, only 1 is visible on stage at any time. Using the arrow keys for example, you can move through the movie clips, click left and the one on screens moves left and the next one in line moves in from the right. When you reach number 10, and you click left, number 10 will move off left and number 1 will come back on right. And vice versa.
This is what I have to try to get worked out. Currently I have a variable which keeps track of which panel is displaying, and as I click on one of two movie clips I check with a conditional to see if that variable is >10 or <1 and then either + or - 1 appropriately, or set it to either 1 or 10, so that number loops.
So that logic part works. What I now need to do is cleanly work out the tweening of the movie clips. I'm using TweenMax. I am currently using another conditional that gets told if the user pressed left or right, then it uses a switch to check the current panel number, and then after all of that it tweens the correct stuff. But that's a huge load of code and I reckon there must be a cleaner way.
