I am using flash for the first time and have been trying to open a new flash file: action script 3 but haven't been successful cause the program immediately crashes.

"Adobe Flash CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." This only happens when I open this specific fla file. I've attached it to this message, (download it here: http:[url].... (I didn't know which file to send so I sent all three that seemed to be related))
I encounter a big issue.When creating a new AS3 Flash file, or opening an existing one, Flash CS4 crashes(see crash report below)I can however create a new AS2 file.I reinstalled Flash, and installed latest update, and problem still occursIs it possible that a corrupted file screwed up Flash CS4 installation ?

just recently upgraded to Leopard. Flash now crashes when opening certain fla's (that worked fine before). The files sometimes open, but then crash the app when I select something on the stage. In these cases I can actually edit the actionscripts.I'm not sure if the crashes are related to Leopard; don't remember if I tried opening one of the problem files since upgrading.I'm on a MacBook Pro 17 2.33, 2gb ram.I repaired permissions (several times), ran various Onyx processes, zapped pram, removed all the prefs files I could find, and reinstalled the whole suite (CS3 Master suite). Bridge won't even open; it crashes on opening.
View 1 RepliesI've had Flash CS4 (a legally purchased single-user licence) since the day it came out and used it practically every day without any major problems. Today I opened it up to carry on with some work, and it crashed. I had a whole host of other stuff that was open and updating at the same time, so I waited until that was done, then I tried again. It crashed. So I rebooted, and tried again. It crashed. Slightly panicked, I uninstalled Flash CS4, rebooted, re-installed it, and tried again. It crashed. Panic giving way to anger, I googled the issue, and this time uninstalled, with 'Remove user preferences' checked, went through my Windows system and manually deleted any associated files in my Application Data folder, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, and tried again. It crashed.
I have now just downloaded the Adobe CS4 Cleanup utility and run it, but after twenty minutes hanging at the 'Removing all session folders' screen and no processor activity I could see, I quit the program. I've got a 9MB fla file that suddenly doesn't open any more. When I try to open it, it crashes Flash. When I try to open it as a library, it crashes Flash. Someone told me a library object might be corrupted - not good, irreparable. I'm on a Mac and when I try opening the fla file it gives me an "error type 2 occurred." I imported the swf file into a new Flash file, but now it's just a one-layer straight-streaming movie with every frame a completely new, redrawn keyframe. Is there any way to resurrect the original fla file? I've got a Sunday deadline?

Is there any way to repair it or find out what i have done wrong. Dont want it to hapen again. There is no problem to run the swf file. I have uppdated flash to the latest version 10.0.2.

I use Hikari a C++ library which allow to display flash control in a texture for the Ogre 3D Engine. I have a flash control which play a sound (.mp3) when I set a param (param = 0 with arg = 1022). The string I sent to raw_CallFunction() is:
"<invoke name="SetParam" returntype="xml"><arguments><string>0</string><string>1022.000000</st ring></arguments></invoke>"
It works very well. But when I close the application, it crashes, even if the sound of the .mp3 is finished. It crashes only is an .mp3 sound have been played (all other setparams and getparams do not crash the application). I have the same problem with different flashes, and with different sounds. I don't think the source of the problem come from the Hikari library, but I think it come from the way i close the flash control. Is there something to do when I close the application after having played an mp3 in a flash control? A function to call?

1) files are excrutiatingly slow to open, close, save, and switch between
2) I currently have a series of about 15 files open and I'm trying to close them - I click "don't save" but the files won't close - it's like I've clicked cancel. I have removed the external media these files were originally on, but if not trying to save the file, why can't Flash just close them and make them go away?

It WORKS prefectly on my computer. Opening up the doc file in words and in the foreground.But i recieve feedback that sometime it doesn't open up in the foreground, and sometime, it open up in Internet explorer instead.
I hope someone here can help me figure out why my Flash CS4 on a Mac 10.6.2 machine crashes unexpectedly every time I open a file. (I have posted the entire crash log below) The program will open, and even stay open when I choose a .fla file for about 5-10 seconds and then CRASH every time. For what it's worth, all my other design collection programs work fine.I have tried uninstalling and reinstalled the Flash app., but it didn't do anything. I have also tried deleting all preference files and application support files in my user, and the problem persists.Does anyone have any ideas? I know that there is no implementation of File Save Dialog in JavaScript as of now, but it can be done with Flash. I am looking for a lib or source code in Flash that could do it for me so that I can call it via JavaScript. JavaScript knows the data and filename, I just want to open a file save dialog.

is there a way to prevent that entire opening flash file from replaying again when visitors hit their own browser's 'back' button from the other pages, and just give them the last frame?
