ActionScript 3.0 :: Recreate The Effect That Site Has When Transitioning Between Pages

First time on the site. I have been desperately looking for information on this transition, but I have only gotten so far. I was wondering how to recreate the effect that this site has when transitioning between pages. [URL] As you can see, there is a very nice fade out, then in effect. I know that u can fade in with a motion tween, but when u click the next link, the page just jumps into the next one instead of fading. How can I get that fading both in and out effect?

I am a college student who has to create an assignment involving an Apple interface, with transitional pages. The problem is that with the actionscript on the first frame, nothing starts up. All i get is this error and nothing else, no line errors.
TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

I have been trying to recreate the rollOver swapdepth effect (above). Works OK but slow using mc's on the main timeline using the swapDepth behaviors.It appears (on the [URL]) that each swf is loaded independently on top of the main with their own preloaders.This seems vastly more complicated than just swapping depths on a single timeline.

So I'm using PixelFume's Active Blur class to recreate the effect, though somewhat simpler so I rewrote some of it and it seem screwed up to me. I have it on the first frame of an .swf that gets loaded into and container clip in the main .swf via loadMovie. It does what I want it to do, but everytime you load the page it comes up slower and slower. If you click the button to load it like 15 times, it's pretty much 1fps.

I make my first flash site. I've insert images in 72 dpi. The site is ok on the web! Now, I want print the site pages in high resolution. Is possible to create the .fla file with image in 300 dpi (so I can print from original .swf files with images in high resolution) and ask to flash to reduce the images resolution in automatic only in the final publication?

i need to make several banners for individual pages of a web site. The banners will each contain different images that i want to have fade in the same way. Also, over the images will be the title of the page. I would like to load the images and text by xml.I was using the uiloader (loading images from a url) but could not figure out how use the xml file as source.Also, for the animation,is there anyway to apply a transition to the uiloader? Is the uiloader even the best way to load xml?

I'm creating a site that loads external .swfs as pages. I have little understanding of how Loaders and instance names work with AS3 (even after reading the documentation), so I'm having some difficulties.
I'm loading the .swfs in a movie clip named "container." I want to replace the contents of "container" with the web page .swf that the user chooses, but I don't know how to write the condition to:
a) check to see if something is already inside "container"b) remove the contents by instance name or method of MovieClip. I'd prefer to remove whatever is inside of "container" rather than switching cases for different instances.

I have a website with a flex application. The flex application has no user input - except for clicks for navigation. The website also uses no scripting language - i.e. no php, asp, jsp or cfm.
The website just consists of one page which contains the flash file for the flex application. The source code of this page is here: [URL]
I have been advised (by a software program used by my client) that this website is vulnerable to a reflective type XSS attack and have been advised to 'sanitize' all user input.
respect to XSS and would respectfully like to ask that AFAIK there is no user input. What should I sanitize and how?

I'm using Adobe CS4 Professional flash to create the basis of the website, a photo background with an interactive menu overlay on top. Does anyone know any good tutorials for an interactive menu (roll you mouse over certain things and the sub-menu comes up which lead to other pages of the site etc.)

I am relatively no used to flash but wanted to put a flash effect to my logo for my site. I managed to do the effect on a site I saw on the next. The effect animations I used was hue and saturation effect. Here a direct link to the logo online with the effect. Anyway I cud do that on flash n stick it to my site ? what was done to create the cool effect at this site? [URL]..When the links on the left are rolled-over an image appears in a small window that follows the cursor. Very cool.
I was hoping to learn how to do that, myself, but can't figure it out. No need for a step-by-step tutorial, just a word or two to point me in the right direction.

I'm trying to do a transition that you've probably seen many times. Transitioning one image to another using a grid of squares where each square fades at a slightly different time.I've made a complex movie clip made up of several other movie clips with all the squares fading at the rate I'm looking at. When I just play the color squares it works fine, but the minute I turn that master movie clip into a mask for the image I loose the transition/fade completely--just an on off thing.

It's growing pains time again. Some of our stuff requires FlashBuilder 4 and some still requires FlexBuilder 3. Both are installed OK, and no projects use both IDEs. The trouble is, when I go back to work on a FlexBuilder 3 project it takes freakin' forever to build and I get weird errors like these: This doesn't seem to cause any identifiable problems except to throw up a modal dialog at various points in the build process, forcing user interaction. But I do notice that memory fills up fast in FB3 and generally FB3 starts behaving strangely and ultimately quits once it gets up over 700MB.
This is only a temporary bridge situation until we get all projects into FB4, but "temporary" could mean weeks if not months. Does anyone have any advice for how to get through this bridge period? Is there anything I can do to make these two IDEs work and play well together? Failing that, does anyone know what "java.lang.String" is the "reason" for the problem? Does Eclipse have a resource bundle somewhere that is getting corrupted when i go back and forth between the two?

I'm making an application for the iPad that allows me to swipe movieClips that are 1024 x 768.The application starts with movieClip1, movieClip2 and movieClip3 added to the stage.When you swipe to the left... they are to move to the left. When a movieClip is off the stage to the left... I want to removeChild and then addChild the next one in the queue to the right of the visible clip. This will provide a seamless swiping experience.
