I am relatively no used to flash but wanted to put a flash effect to my logo for my site. I managed to do the effect on a site I saw on the next. The effect animations I used was hue and saturation effect. Here a direct link to the logo online with the effect. Anyway I cud do that on flash n stick it to my site ? I tried hosting it to the site I did it on n it takes ages to load. [URL].

View 2 RepliesI'm guessing this would be simple but I just started in flash and have no clue what I'm doing wrong here. I'm trying to add an animated logo effect using a linear gradient to create a glimmer effect, using a motion tween. In order to make it appear the logo glimmered with light every so many seconds.When I add a mask to the glimmer layer but the effect comes out obviously wrong. I read somewhere that in the action script I have to use "cacheAsBitmap" but that does not seem to effect anything.I found an example of the effect I am looking to do in a tutorial pertaining to text effectsI have seen this effect used thousands of times online, but there doesn't appear to be any tutor
View 6 RepliesI'm trying to create a chasing reflection and a circular logo in flash, after effects or whatever!!! Do you know how to do this? It's more like if you had a chrome circular ring in your palm and as the sun hits it, the glare/shine would run around the edges of the logo, does this make any sense?
View 7 RepliesI have a logo I created for my webpage with FreeHand. I have finally learned how to do a lighting mask to have the effect of the moving gleam across my logo, but whenever I try to create the effect (using different methods even) it isnt' working correctly. Only part of my logo is being affected by the mask. I have tried all the things that I can think of to make this work. So far the only thing that has worked is changing the vector logo into a jpeg and plugging it into flash, but I really don't want to do that due to resolution and cleaness of the image. I am including links to the 2 files - the original logo as well as the masking .fla file that I have been trying to make work.

How can I make a shine effect with different intensity depending on the bottom logo?

I have plenty of ways of creating falling snow like effects, but a client has just comitted me to an effect as a test of my ability without talking to me first, that I am a little stumped by.I need to have a top down falling snow effect (its actually supposed to be flour falling from a sieve but hey...). All the snow effects I know, fall down sideways on, from top to bottom, and then they disappear off the page (the flakes).I need the particles (movieclips) to fall downwards from a birds eye view, and 90% of them to disappear, but the remaining 10% to gradually (over about 5 seconds) build up a white logo (shape) in the middle of the screen.So I am guessing that I am going to have to be clever with dynamic masks to get the shape appearing a little bit at a time, and then I also need some random motion, and scaling as the particles fall downwards (and away) from the eye.
Before I jump in at the deep end, has anyone got any ideas on this, even just part of it (the falling particles or the revealing dynamic mask part) would be a great help.Please let me know if you can help with ideas and input in anyway, and I'll give you credit on the final project when complete, as well as much help as I can with game related scripting and deisgn/URL...
I am trying to make a text effect where the colours fill up inside the logo lettering as if water was being poured in. Is there a way of doing this either by Actionscript or some form of advanced masking perhaps?

I have literally spent days (not merely hours) trying to adapt various code, watching and following tutorial and trying to adapt what I find for my existing site (which is, unto itself, still in development)
I'm trying to avoid avoid using external packages and script instead on the timeline, in keeping with how the site was originally built (with hopes this would save me from having to rebuild and reorganise the structure of the timeline - there are several gallery pages and files and buttons and cross-linking). But I'll attach here just one fla ("archives.fla") that anyone whom has experience with SWFAddress might understand what I'm contending with. I've borrowed code from so many sources at this point that the script code is sure to be bungled (one top layer of the fla file, for deep linking).
I would be ever so grateful for assistance in this regard; cannot afford to pass another day trying to figure it out (I am on a deadline)...

The index file is .php. Now I've got this little Flash animation that we want to run first, then when it's done go to his website. When I try to add it to the top of the index page all that happens is the site loads like in normally did but with the Flash movie at the top instead of being another page. What do we need to do to have it load on it's own first?

In Freehand 9 I created a logo. Logo has an rgb mix blue base rectangle and rgb white drawn shapes on top. I also drew over the text and gave it the rgb blue as a fill with line none. That sits on top of one of the white shapes.

We recently decided to add a flash banner to our site which calls an xml file which loads the price and name for 5 separate products and keeps looping through until a user clicks a product. Unfortunately, it appears each time the file loops it calls another iteration of the xml file -- so if a user opens our homepage and walks away the xml file could be called 100s of times. My question is, can we set up the actionscript so the xml file is called just once?

I was wondering how to recreate the effect that this site has when transitioning between pages. [URL] As you can see, there is a very nice fade out, then in effect. I know that u can fade in with a motion tween, but when u click the next link, the page just jumps into the next one instead of fading. How can I get that fading both in and out effect?

Its kind of a bleach effect? Which I presume is achieved using some sort of tween engine like Tweenmax or the Fusekit? The Honda site also has a nice second transition effect which is pretty cool, where dots kind of fall away? Has this just been done on the timeline?
View 1 RepliesI'm updating a sketch pad application for someone and I'm running into trouble creating a highlighter effect. What I'm trying to do is avoid having the highlighter opacity change when lines are drawn on top of each other. First I tried setting the line opacity to 50%. As expected, the opacity increases where the lines cross. So far, other sketch pad FLAs I've found have the same problem. Then I tried setting the opacity of the movie clip I'm drawing into to 50%, and drew lines at 100%. Surprisingly, the result is the same as above. Finally, I decided to just draw into a mask to reveal a 50% yellow mc below. But of course lines don't work in masks, so that didn't work either. I suppose I could draw a bunch of circles between points to create a line but that doesn't seem like it would be the best solution.

Now I've been asked to add buttons and make the slides fade instead of slide into each other. They want it like this: [URL]. So I created a very simple mock up: [URL]. I just can't get the buttons to work like the prosolassociates one above. I have attached the FLA here for review.

I have a panel with a button in it. Clicking on the button will direct the panel to state "State2" adding another two buttons into the panel. During the state change, I want the panel to resize first and then show the newly added two buttons, so I applied transitions onto the state change.
My question is:
If I put the two buttons within a HBox directly under the addChild tag, it works fine. However, if I create a new component with the same code (HBox with two buttons in it) and then add the new component to the panel (Comp in the code commented), it won't show the resize effect.

I've made a simple picture slideshow. With 10 frames and on each frame a movieclip. On every frame, I use the 'loadMovie' method to import a file..A set of buttons are used to surf through the frames..Okay, I wanted to know, is there any other possible way to add a fade-in fade-out transition while changing the pic from frame 1 to frame 2.. ?The way i know of doing it will be like this;Making a movieclip, MC1, and in there, another movieclip, imagehandler MC, where that image is brought using 'loadMovie' method. And fading in imagehandler MC from frame 0 to frame 10 using motion tweening like we normally do..And putting that MC1 (with MC2 fade in effect inside)to each of the 10 frames in the main slideshow timeline (making different MC1 like MCs for each image)..But this way its much more work and more cramping in the library..

View 5 Repliesi have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. How can i fix this without resizing the site. i want the users to see with the proportions that i have now.. ijust want a scroll on the browser.
