Right after that I call another function that tries to display the selected item across a couple of labels. The problem is nothing loads in the labels unless I run the functions twice. I'm guessing its some sort of data race problem where the item hasn't been selected by the time the function that displays the items in labels runs. How can I get the item to be selected before the next function runs.
I have developed a flex application using the data visualization components. I am now trying to optimize the application and one of approaches I am trying is to use Runtime Shared Libraries.I have configured Flex Builder to deploy with Runtime Shared Libraries and have added the .swz file for the framework, datavisualization and rpc share libraries. After deploying, my application loads, however my axis values within each of my charts are missing. The axes themselves are shown, however they do not have their label units displayed. The series themselves are displayed too.I have tried this using the 3.4 SDK and also the 3.2 SDK within Flex Builder. I also tried compiling flex using the mxmlc ANT tasks and got the same results.I made sure that the framework RSL is getting loaded first and I also made sure that the global flash cache has been cleared before I tested.I can see from my access logs that the .swz files are getting loaded the first time I make a request for my application, so I am confident that I properly cleared the flash player global cache.
Does anyone know why my axis values would be missing only when I deploy with RSL??? Switching back to Merged mode, my application works fine and it is only when I deploy with RSLs that I get the issue.I have also tried to compile using only the framework RSL and not the datavisualization or rpc RSLs (keeping them in merged mode) and I get the same results, no axis values.
I have a Flec Bar chart. It has a Bar series. I need to show the datalabel at the tip of the bars. For this am using labelFunction.This works fine. Now I want to add a plotseries in the same chart. Once it is added the labelfunction in the bar series is not working. The labels are not visible.[code]
View 1 RepliesIf I have several items that move across the screen but the user can click any of them at any time, how do I record the current position of any of the items item in order to use that data to change the position of the item after the user clicks?
This is what I am doing: I have 11 images that slide accross the screen. The user can click any of them at any time. When he clicks one I am scaling the image so it looks like it is comming forward (z axis) and then the rest of the images are scaled down so it looks like they are going back on z axis. So what I am trying to do is get the current position of the image when the user clicks the image so that I can use that to correctly estimate the scaling and moving of the image to make it look like it scales from the center and not from the top left corner. So if have a variable that gets the current position of the image being clicked I'm thinking I can change its position using something like: x = currentposition + -45;
I have a BarChart showing several normal bars and a BarSeries, like this:

When a user clicks on a button, i need to calculate some values, put them on the "myCalculatedValue" and add another BarSeries as a comparison. I'm doing this:

But the BarChart does not change at all. Is there some way to refresh the chart after adding the new BarSeries?
In my flex datagird i have a checkbox and a datgrid with seven columns. im populating values in first five column(remaining two column no values) of datgrid by an Arraycollection. now,By clicking the checkbox i want to show all seven column values and if i uncheck five columns has to show... how its possible?? heres my code

I have a Data Grid with automacticly genorated columns, i now need to add data items into a spesific row / column of this grid e.g. col 2 row 3. It dosnt have a data provider at the moment as i wish to be very selective about which data goes where.

For example i want to pick up all the title values within each item of the RSS feed and place that in a designated label.
I am parsing the feed correctly but i am having trouble trying to load the data into the label's, i've tried using the below but the same Title value is entered for 9 out of the 10 labels[code]...

On clicking 'Submit', if only some are placed correctly, there's a 'Show me' option - this is the bit I can't do:if some of those with more than 1 possible answer are correct, I don't know how to check which dropzones are free to place the remainder in. My code for the first bit, checking the hitTest is ok:

I've created an Flex app. It currently has an drop down menu. With the option to select a Channel. Once the channel is selected the data pulls through. But, what I want to do is just pull through one channel of data as opposed to multiple items of data. How can I achieve this?

But I am having a problem tracing the data that I want. Seemingly it is connecting to the database and is working in that sense but when I try to trace data I am getting a couple problems.

In this app that has an inline item editor, if you click on a location cell then press tab, the value in the location cell is wiped out.
focusOut doesn't work, nor could I get this to work in DataGrid itemEditEnding etc.

group items in a DataGrid by an item property, fer example:Say you have a list of products, and the products belong to categories, like, Summer products, Winter products...is there anyway to group products in a DataGrid under separate headers? IE: Winter (all winter products follow) Summer (all summer products follow). I can already order by category, but instead I want to do this:
