ActionScript 3.0 :: Simple Flash Banner(using Flash Cs4) - Make It Clickable?

I have a pretty simple flash banner(using flash cs4) that I want ot make clickable.I am assuming I have everything correct, because when I "test movie", everything works as expected.Now comes the odd part. When I export movie, the clickable portion no longer works. Along the same lines as soon as I save the .fla file, the "test movie" no longer works.I have recreated this about 10 times now and everytime the same result. now I have it open on my computer, because as soon as I save it will no longer work.
My actionscript(3.0) code is as follows:
link_btn1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, sgurl);
function sgurl(Event:MouseEvent):void;
{[code].....
and yes I have a button with an instance name of link_btn1

My client is complaining that the site that will be hosting her banner is refusing to add the forwarding link to her banner (that upon clicking will redirect to her website). I'd like to know how I can add this function to the Flash CS5 banner I have designed. Also, I have a clicktag on my banner if that makes a difference.

I have a flash banner and I am looking to insert a count down time and when the timer runs out I want the timer to fade out and start a new movie clip.

I'm making a flash gallery with XML, the thumbnails loads just fine but i cant figure out how to make the thumbnails clickable so that they can load the correct Image..Here is the code i have so far:

In the first I have a button and if somebody click on that button it goes to the second scene.In the second scene I remove the button with an image so it is not clickable.How to leave this button, but make it not clickable at all?and the second case is what if I am using just one scene in flash and want the button be clickable only once? How the actionscript will look like?

So I have a movie clip called signInBtn and one called signOutBtn initially,
signOutBtn.visible = false;
but when a user signs in
signInBtn.visible = false;
signOutBtn.visible = true;
But after I do that, I can't click the signOut movieclip. I thought it might be because the signOutBtn was under the invisible signInBtn but that is not the case.

I am having some difficulty creating a SWF file that had a FLV embedded that is completely clickable at any point during the video. Created a new Flash document and imported the video, using the "Progressive download" option. I have tried everything from adding layers with click instances (http://forums.adobe.com/message/256259#256259) to making a button the size of the video that is set at 0% alpha.Every time I either get the video playing that is not clickable or i get the flv icon flashing (no video) that is clickable, or I get the flv icon flashing and it is not clickable at all.I am using CS3 and just looking for a video banner ad.

I need to make part of a flex skin non-focusable/non-clickable, i.e. so that when the mouse clicks that part of the button, it doesn't actually get clicked. Basically, I want that part to be a shadow or highlight or background or whatever you'd like to call it.It's done somehow with drop shadows but I want to have finer control than using filters.Example code:

I have got stuck on what seems to be a very simple task. I have an animated flash banner for the website, but I cannot make it clickable, so that visitors can click on any part of it, and be tranfered to another website page. I am quite new to Adobe Flash, I use CS4 to edit. I have tried making transparent rectangles,converting them to a Button type, inserting various codes, but all that I tried has no effect

I am trying to make a flash banner with a picture on the right that is covered with blinds and opens when the page loads. Then on the left side of the banner I have some text that I want to fade in after the picture loads and stops, I don't have a clue as to what I am doing wrong I can get the picture to loads and the blinds to open, but when I attempt to add the text fade in to it I no longer have my picture, although the text fade-in works fine. I am rather new to Flash and I have been work ing ont his for 3 days with no luck.

I have created a webpage with a html menu and flash embedded underneath it.The problem is, the flash movie is in an index layer of -1 and the html menu needs to sit above it in index 1 for example.If the menu sits behind the flash the buttons are inactive, if the flash sits behind the html menu, its buttons are inactive.I have a div layer for the html menu and it not as high as the flash movie, but it doesn't make a difference, its seen as sitting behind and therefore the buttons don't work.

-this is supposed to make multiple buttons with text(not clickable yet) -it seems to coppy over, or remove the previous myButtons[i] movieclip each time it goes through the loop. -there are 3 strings in buttonText.length -on the output i get 0,1,2 -but on the screen I only see one gradient (its only a pink box, but one problem at a time) -the box appears where roughly the 3rd button should be. -full code attached

I know that people don't generally like expanding flash banners, but my motive is simply to provide additional details for the sponsors of my forum[url]...
As you can see, in the upper right hand corner, I have a very simple rotating flash banner that shows the local companies that keep it going. I'd like to provide an additional service for people that are interested in using them, where each sponsor gets a drop-down menu that has a map, address, directions and contact information IF the user clicks on it, and wants to see the information for that sponsor.
Now I know enough about flash on how to create the actual banner itself, but for the life of me, I simply cannot make it extend over the rest of the page. It always ends up displaying the entire .swf file, no mater whether I make half of it transparent or not.
I've tried using several banners, including the Double-Click Ad Kit and some other expample flashes, but for the life of me, and through very extensive googl searching I can't find any clear cut instructions on how to make it extend OVER the rest of the body. I've found some pages that sorta mention how to do it, but I really have had no luck in duplicating it.

What I am trying to do, is to make a flash banner that links to more than one URL. I have looked around for a solution for this problem of mine, but haven't found a thing. I've made banners before, linking to only one URL and that hasn't been a problem. I tried to copy/paste the AS stuff from one layer to another, but that just gave me an error message: 1021: Duplicate function definition
Google pointed out this forum when I was looking for a solution to that problem, and I tried mixing numbers in the buttonClickHandler among other things. Sure enough the error went away, but I still can't get the .swf to to work as I want it to. Now it just exports and lets me know that there are buttons there, but they don't take me anywhere.

I would make it my own of coarse, but I need my banner to be the same size and same effect when the pictures change. I am a full time web designer for a company that specialises in building online booking websites for the travel industry.I am an expert when it comes to Photoshop, but Flash is still quite new to me, I know the basics on how to make a flash display banner for an ad campaign but that's about as far as it goes.Basically I am creating an ad banner for a client, I have decided to use vector graphics for button/lozenges instead of PNGs to save on file size. However, when I create the buttons/lozenges on the stage the text seems perfectly aligned within. However, when I publish the SWF it seems to misalign. Look at the screenshot below for an example of what I mean.

I am new to CS5 and i'm wondering how to make a flash banner play only once for the visitor. My home page has a search engine and every time the search the result will display with the banner playing again. this is the same for navigating through pages. I want the banner to stay on the last frame. its not looping, its just replaying everytime i navigate.

I have found a code on the net for a Flashbanner that scrolls the infoholder (info) horizontal. De info contains data parsed from xml. Now I want to replace the scrolling effect with a fade-in/out. I know there's a way to make a fade-in/out effect with two mc_containers. I tried that but with no result. Then I tried to make a Array where the info is pushed in.

I am new to flash and trying to make a simple flash website video intro in Flash CS5 Pro.I have a flv viedo on the stage, under an image with a trasnparent center.I have the video on the bottom layer, the overlay image on the middle layer, and the top layer is my AS layer (AS3).
The video is currently autoplaying when i export.All i want is for it to open my website in the same window as the intro played when the video ends.I dont need a "skip intro button" or anything.I just want it to play the intro when you go to my site, and then bring up the index page of my site after it plays.

I've put all of the pictures on the same frame and gave them frame labels. What would be the actionscript code I should use to make this work, along with making the buttons still functional? Also, how can I put buttons to go to the last frame from the first, and first to the last, while still making them stop at every frame? I keep trying and nothing's working.
