May 10, 2009I am trying to make a flash banner with a picture on the right that is covered with blinds and opens when the page loads. Then on the left side of the banner I have some text that I want to fade in after the picture loads and stops, I don't have a clue as to what I am doing wrong I can get the picture to loads and the blinds to open, but when I attempt to add the text fade in to it I no longer have my picture, although the text fade-in works fine. I am rather new to Flash and I have been work ing ont his for 3 days with no luck.

May 26, 2009I need to export a flash animation that I have produced as an email banner and send the file to a client who will add it to their emails for advertising. I have tried exporting it as an animated gif and the quality looks terrible!I know that gif only supports 256 colours but am trying to give the client something user friendly that they can just attach to the bottom of their email. I think there is programs that you can use to export it at a higher quality?

As you can see, in the upper right hand corner, I have a very simple rotating flash banner that shows the local companies that keep it going. I'd like to provide an additional service for people that are interested in using them, where each sponsor gets a drop-down menu that has a map, address, directions and contact information IF the user clicks on it, and wants to see the information for that sponsor.
Now I know enough about flash on how to create the actual banner itself, but for the life of me, I simply cannot make it extend over the rest of the page. It always ends up displaying the entire .swf file, no mater whether I make half of it transparent or not.
I've tried using several banners, including the Double-Click Ad Kit and some other expample flashes, but for the life of me, and through very extensive googl searching I can't find any clear cut instructions on how to make it extend OVER the rest of the body. I've found some pages that sorta mention how to do it, but I really have had no luck in duplicating it.

Jan 12, 2011I am a full time web designer for a company that specialises in building online booking websites for the travel industry.I am an expert when it comes to Photoshop, but Flash is still quite new to me, I know the basics on how to make a flash display banner for an ad campaign but that's about as far as it goes.Basically I am creating an ad banner for a client, I have decided to use vector graphics for button/lozenges instead of PNGs to save on file size. However, when I create the buttons/lozenges on the stage the text seems perfectly aligned within. However, when I publish the SWF it seems to misalign. May 4, 2010I have found a code on the net for a Flashbanner that scrolls the infoholder (info) horizontal. De info contains data parsed from xml. Now I want to replace the scrolling effect with a fade-in/out. I know there's a way to make a fade-in/out effect with two mc_containers. I tried that but with no result. Then I tried to make a Array where the info is pushed in.

Aug 12, 2009I recently just made a flash banner where you can click buttons to change frames. I also want to add the ability for it to automatically change frames after 7 seconds. I've put all of the pictures on the same frame and gave them frame labels. What would be the actionscript code I should use to make this work, along with making the buttons still functional? Also, how can I put buttons to go to the last frame from the first, and first to the last, while still making them stop at every frame? I keep trying and nothing's working.

Oct 26, 2009I am trying to make an animated flash banner in which a graphic slides across a 774 by 100 px stage which stops after playing once and repeats on mouse over.
I have managed to make the animation repeat on mouse over, but when it does, the graphic only slides to the point on the stage that the mouse moved over.
I have also tried this with a mouse out which works fine but is not quite what I was trying to achieve.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Simple Flash Banner(using Flash Cs4) - Make It Clickable?
Feb 17, 2011I have a pretty simple flash banner(using flash cs4) that I want ot make clickable.I am assuming I have everything correct, because when I "test movie", everything works as expected.Now comes the odd part. When I export movie, the clickable portion no longer works. Along the same lines as soon as I save the .fla file, the "test movie" no longer works.I have recreated this about 10 times now and everytime the same result. now I have it open on my computer, because as soon as I save it will no longer work.

Nov 18, 2009Very new to AS3 and wasn't a strong coder to begin with - I've been asked to build a large banner revealing multiple ads (4 to be precise). My thought is to use a TimerEvent (if, then type statement) to control how long each "billboard" will be on the stage, then have the next one slide onto the stage...etc, etc... I'm finding conflicting codes out there, and don't know which to pull from. This seems easy in my head, but the AS3 code appears very complex to pull this off.

Nov 1, 2009What I am trying to do, is to make a flash banner that links to more than one URL. I have looked around for a solution for this problem of mine, but haven't found a thing. I've made banners before, linking to only one URL and that hasn't been a problem. I tried to copy/paste the AS stuff from one layer to another, but that just gave me an error message: 1021: Duplicate function definition
Google pointed out this forum when I was looking for a solution to that problem, and I tried mixing numbers in the buttonClickHandler among other things. Sure enough the error went away, but I still can't get the .swf to to work as I want it to. Now it just exports and lets me know that there are buttons there, but they don't take me anywhere.

Oct 4, 2010I'm trying to make a banner with a small game where you control a trash can, and you try to catch some trash falling down the stage. Also I got a dynamic text field on my stage called "tekst", where I want my counter to be shown. At last I'm trying to make a if sentence saying that if etc. counter<10 go to url. When I run it now, the trash is moving all right, but I can't get the hitTestObject to work, its saying that hitTestObject is not a function? How to export my counter to the text field on the stage.

He asked me to make an animation on the homepage to show at start a world image / a globe (just the company logo) that "expands", like if it opens (from behind) into a plain map (which is another image) of the world and then show a text over it. I know and develop in PHP / MYSQL / Photoshop / JQuery effects/plugin but sadly (are we sure ? :P ) I know nothing about flash and actionscript.
So I was wondering if you could guide me to what to do, where should I start?Consider I video edit since 2003ish so I'm not lost here, I was thinking making a video about it and the show it on the page but doesn't feel like a good solution considering that the last frame should be static and more importantly the file size!. Is at least possible to do it in Flash?
I have an advantage over this situation though: I learn fast, so speak up :) what should I do?
Flash Animation Lags - Make It Lag?
Oct 9, 2010I currently made a flash animation. the background is the only one that is animated and scrolls to the right. But my problem is why it lags? Is there any way to not make it lag? here's a link of the swf file you can view: http:[url]......I tried it on a high spec pc and it does not lag when it is in normal screen(640x480) but when I view it in full screen it lags. There are no scripts or anything in this file just animation.
