Jan 1, 2012I'm wanting to link a flash animation to a page on my site. These are the steps i have taken so far Open flash , create New symbol (choose button) named it flashflashbutton Then still in symbol section, File import.
I then import a flash animation I made .swf.Now when I import it the animations frames stretch across the up, hit, ect. I am sure this isn't the correct way to do it.How do I import an animation and put all the keyframes (hence the animation ) just into the up mode.
As atm when i go to scene view, open librarary and drag it into scene view. Then test movie, It plays one frame if i hover over it it plays another frame.I assume the answer to this is sumhow put all the frames in the up mode, and another anim on the hit mode?
Flash :: Professional - Stop Adding Link 'hit Zone' At Start Of Animation?

however, the 'hit zone' for the button shows up from frame 1 of the animation. is there a way of getting the hit zone to start when the button shows up?

Nov 20, 2009Trying to figure out how to add a link that will open up in a new window using Action Script for something at work. Have barely used Flash so I am totally lost. People at work gave me a file with a blue box that is in its own layer, but I don't understand where to put the link at. I know I have to use Action Script 2.0 and go to the Actions palette.

Sep 22, 2011I have one website that I am working on that has a flash video logo. The only thing they want me to change about the video is to make it a link to the index page of the site. I can not figure out for the life of me how to do this. Could someone please lay the steps out in a simple fashion for me. I have found a few tutorials online but none of them were for CS5.5 and none of them have all the steps for the version they are for.

Apr 29, 2008I'm trying to make a link from my flash .swf to call a JavaScript from the html document. It looks like this:

Does this looks correct? Are these ' ' symbols placed correct? The problem is that someone else is doing the connection to actually pick up the JavaScript callArticle function, so this code is all that I do.

He asked me to make an animation on the homepage to show at start a world image / a globe (just the company logo) that "expands", like if it opens (from behind) into a plain map (which is another image) of the world and then show a text over it. I know and develop in PHP / MYSQL / Photoshop / JQuery effects/plugin but sadly (are we sure ? :P ) I know nothing about flash and actionscript.
So I was wondering if you could guide me to what to do, where should I start?Consider I video edit since 2003ish so I'm not lost here, I was thinking making a video about it and the show it on the page but doesn't feel like a good solution considering that the last frame should be static and more importantly the file size!. Is at least possible to do it in Flash?
I have an advantage over this situation though: I learn fast, so speak up :) what should I do?

Flash Animation Lags - Make It Lag?
Oct 9, 2010I currently made a flash animation. the background is the only one that is animated and scrolls to the right. But my problem is why it lags? Is there any way to not make it lag? here's a link of the swf file you can view: http:[url]......I tried it on a high spec pc and it does not lag when it is in normal screen(640x480) but when I view it in full screen it lags. There are no scripts or anything in this file just animation.

Jul 13, 2010I played around quite a bit and came up with exactly the effect I was looking for. Basically a movie clip with floating icons that come in and out of the stage. All was done in actionScript 3.0 and Code Snippets. There is no timeline per se, using the classic timeline view it is only one keyframe, the animation lasts for about 45 seconds.
I want the animation to loop continueously. Even in the HTML output I did click Loop Cont. under Publish settings. That does not work either.
